Reverend Insanity

This is a little late but i have read thirty chapters of Reverend Insanity and so far it has been a joyride. It was recommended to me by a friend and i have to say, he has a good taste. I will be reading every chapter and commenting my insights without fail. Wish me luck in my endeavors.

Im ganna rate 5 star, firstly the plot is good honestly its not just good its a top tier it will give the twist and turn make you crave for more, the character also top tier make you want to smak them in the face, the fights oh its the best part the plot and twist character are so detailed The fight will make you speech less and want to comment after you read it, the growt yes it also top tier everything about this is top tier. Honestly when i started reading i did not expect much but i kept reading I cant help but respect this NOVEL And the author for giving me this experience The up's and down of fang yuan life is top tier

This is by far my favorite cultivation novel. Fang Yuan fails most of the time which make him more human(tho still kind of a piece of sh*t). He is neither a cruel person nor a sadistic one. The guy is jsuy pragmatic. He would kill a milllion if it benefits him but at the same tike may help a milion as well id its beneficial to him l. The other characters , especially the venerables, are intresting not one-dimensional. There is a bit of info repeating in the later chapters but its not a problem. As for the cultivation system: Its unique , intresting and complex. Its by far the best system in the cultivation novels that I have read so far. In conclusion, although its not finished and probably won’t be completed, I still thibk it deserves 5 stars. Peace

Binged the entire novel in 20 days during exam season (a testament to the novel's prowess). It's easily one of my favorite novels, currently tied with LOTM at the top. While a very brutal and dark story that's definitely not for everyone, RI has a masterful plot where every character has their own motives and countless schemes, especially the MC whose foundation and perseverance is incredibly inspiring. The world building is also one of the best parts of the novel, with The Legends of Ren Zu being the most unique flag for this; it's perfectly integrated into the wider world and as a bonus provides lots of deep wisdom for the human heart, reflecting our own life experiences. It's truly unfortunate it got banned in the middle of one of the best arcs. All in all, I highly recommend anyone to give this a try, although the beginning may have some mental roadblocks you'll have to clear first.

This story isn't going to be for everyone. At times certain things won't make sense until the author throws in an explanation, almost as a footnote, dozens of chapters later. Going into this story you need to realize that the main character is evil, but he himself is indifferent to the evil. What I mean by that is he justifies all his evil actions as simply how the world works and all that matters is power and yourself. He's the type of main character that would sacrifice babies to increase his own power. There are very graphic scenes in this story. I wouldn't be surprised if the author looks at gore p*rn. In real life there's problem a few things wrong with him. In the comments you'll have countless defenders of the main character. You can ignore them at times, many of them are people that would creep you out in real life if you ever met them. However being interested in a darker theme story doesn't mean you're a creep. People always look when there's a car crash. Morbidity just attracts curiosity. It's why horror is such a popular genre. At first I was put off by the main character and some of the writing. However the author brings the story together well (though in a slow meandering way at times) and the writing is done fairly well. Not sure if it deserves rank #5, but definitely not a poor recommendation if you want something darker to read.

I heard everyone talking about this but I didn’t expect too much. Boy was I wrong. This is probably one of my top ten novels. I wish that the author could’ve finished it. I will earnestly await that day if it ever comes.

The best Novel I have ever read. It's not your usual wuxia novel with a shallow mc, shallow forgettable characters, forgettable world. The MC, a unique character shaped by his his experiences giving him unparalled understanding, a goal - he pursues and shows no wavering in his will, his perseverance. He has abundent emotions, but he supresses them for his goal, 0 hesitation, nothing exceeds his bottom line for his goal. The side characters (stories) all have key roles to play in the plot but also carry deep hidden meanings. We see the beauty and helpessness of each of their struggles for their ideals. The world building is immense, there is a clear vast structure, continents and heavens. Changes throughout different continents, undercurrents developing and brewing into crucial elements that effect the future plot. The Legends of Ren Zu. During the appropriate plot points we see this book (within the gu world) mentioned and gives great insights that open up new perspectives for you. Keeping as brief as possible to avoid spoiling, but the book exponentially improves after every book in my experience as well.
