Summary

On just another normal Monday, the world changed. The universe had reached a threshold humanity didn’t even know existed, and it was time to finally be integrated into the vast multiverse. A world where power is the only thing that one can truly rely on.

Jake, a seemingly average office worker, finds himself thrust into this new world. Into a tutorial filled with dangers and opportunities. In a world that should breed fear and concern, an environment that makes his fellow coworkers falter, Jake instead finds himself thriving.

Perhaps… Jake was born for this kind of world, to begin with.

Review of someone who read more than 800 chapters It's pretty much an above average litrpg novel. The main character is a pretty average protagonist, hero syndrome, introverted. The story is mid. The progression is above average. The characters are below average. The lore and secrets of the world aren't that deep, although there are certain aspects (mostly surrounding the main character) that is deep (you can guess what pretty easily...). It is sometimes a bit cringe, many times because of the discussions between characters... Sometimes it become an ethical discussion for some reason which takes whole chapters (the discussions decrease in length and frequency in later chapters) and the discussion don't even make sense. Better to read other stuff like ss, lotm, ri, and such. If you're here to stack chapters or for the dopamine hit from the progression of the main character then I guess you're in the right place, but don't expect too much. I'm here if you want deeper explanations

I never got the love for RI. I just couldn't get into it. Objectively evil, selfish, and greedy MC who cultivates special bugs in a 'soul-pool', and the novel is Chinese so all the names look the same and you can't remember any of them. What's so good about it?

      • itzcyder 7

the part about chinese names looking all the same is not even true, and a bit racist can't lie and as for the love, yes there are no evil mc's but where does that mindset of evil originate from. that's what makes him interesting

When I say "they all look the same", I mean that they're all so foreign to my way of speaking that I can't remember them and I can't associate them with characters, so all of the characters might as well have the same name from my perspective. That's not being racist.

The characters feel realistic. The lore of the world is interesting and deep. The ruthlessness of the main character is entertaining even if you need to get used to it (I understand why it can be too much). The planning and mischievousness, the ruthlessness, the lore and the progression combined makes the novel good. I have read about 200 chapters, so I don't know if the story continues to be good The only downsides for me is that the story didn't finish because it got banned in china, that's also why I switched from ri to lotm, but people here are planning to "rescue" (kidnap) the writer from China and get him to finish the story so who knows

Bro u nailed it, I'm here to stack some SS and tbate chapters but your comment about lack of character development discouraged me. I donno much about ri, should I read it?

It's way better than people give it credit for. Try it out for yourself, and get to chapter ~200 or so, then see how you feel.

It is captivating. It's just that I find so many people dropping the novel before the first arc is even over, and then posting a review. Therefore, I'm encouraging them to read the first arc and a few dozen chapters after, to actually get a feel for the novel. It's not even a quarter of the novel. It takes only 16-20 hours.

There's not much romance, but Jake will 'get around' every once in a while in the later chapters.

And he's still losing some money because people pirate his novel. In the latest ~100 chapters you'll see a line or two about reporting piracy, especially on amazon.

Idk why you got so many dislikes? Its mid asf, I read this to like chapter 200 something and really the only stimulation I got from this novel is when I saw a kill notification, a new level and some new abilities or something, I barely kept up with the story because of how utterly mid it is.

I mean the author is not reinventing the wheel. It is a typical power fantasy, but you know some people will like it more some less,it all comes down to your preference

ā€œInvisible dragonā€ is the title. This is the all time best fantasy novel and piece of literature overall. Nothing will ever come close to this masterpiece from any standpoint, be it world building, characters, details, anything. Invisible dragon is simply the supreme novel.

How is this higher than RI

    Reply
    • Crazed 66

Because thereā€™s more people reading this currently than RI, which has been out for years, the fact Ri is still in the top 10 even after all these years is a testament to its supremacy. Books like these will make it to the top 10 once in a while but theyā€™ll eventually drop

cus RI is incomplete and its never gonna get an ending while this is lower quality than RI it is still a well-written novel with fleshed out characters and solid worldbuilding with regular updates. It's fun to read so have fun with us

Kinda? Jake kinda overlevels so by the time William would want to fight him again jakes way too strong for him so heā€™s like ā€œI really donā€™t care about you anymore but get yo sh*t straight and be useful or somethingā€ This is very abbreviated lmao Not sure what the plans are for his character in the future since we havenā€™t heard from him in quite some time.
