System Update June 3, 2022 (Advanced TTS)

Hello dear readers,

I would like to share with you the changes made with a small update released today.

In the advanced search and filtering page, a field is defined for you to enter the tags you want to exclude. In this way, you will filter the novels that you do not want to see in the results.

Since the browser-based TTS voice function does not work properly in every browser, I have been working on the development for a while to provide a permanent solution and finally I completed it.

This new version will work like you play an audio file on a player. Since it is browser independent, it will work in any browser that runs javascript.
Since the content of the novel chapters is quite long, processing the content and converting it into a single audio data would take time and consume resources. As a solution, the content will be divided into parts and the parts will be played sequentially on the player. As an advantage, you will be able to follow the paragraphs of the current track with autofocus on the screen while the audio track of the chapter is playing.

It has been defined to a novel section so that you can try and observe the feature.

This new feature will only be available to subscribed supporters. Unfortunately I don't have enough server resources and extra effort power to activate it for all users.

    Why did you change the TTS? The before was somewhat fine but now it has totally full of issue. And most of the time it is no functioning. TTS was convinient cause you site is the one I can use like an audio book.

    Its showing 'read more' in every chapter of 'villain wants to live' I cannot use TTS because of that.

    I hope you will do more The grand mudang saga/Path of the shaman series. In my opinion, that series is really good but no one has translated it.

    I don't know if you're looking for any novel recommendations, but one I recall enjoying before it got too expensive was one called "new game plus" It's a regression story, but the power system was unique in that it was based on unlocking the potential of the brain. Haven't found it on any free sites that won't try and wreck my PC, so it might bring some traffic. On an unrelated side note, affinity chaos was a great recent addition to the site.

    Can these features be hidden on mobile view? Honestly, I don't really use TTS and having it on top while trying to read on phone gets in the way. Ideally, I would like there to just be text of the chapter and nothing more, so please look into some option to disable this TTS header on mobile.

      I don't understand what exactly is bothering you. It is well above the point where you have already started reading, and when you scroll down to read it, the TTS panel will already be off the page.

        Yeah it's fixed now, but first day it used to be there permanently. Also a small suggestion: When reading a book, please don't update the current progress to the latest opened chapter. Instead, update it only if the currently open chapter is > previous one. Explanation: I read both on phone and on PC and when I open browser on phone it can refresh the page (due to browser app no longer being in memory) on an old chapter and I lose my progression and have to remember how far ahead I read on PC. Also, we can just reset progress if we want to reset our progression, this would make more sense and would be more consistent across devices. Please consider it and thank you for the awesome website.

        I also get this when accidentally clicking on the chapter on a liked comment in inbox, and have lost my place in a novel a few times due to this

      Interesting. There are still ads on our website. Not seeing any ads on any chapter page? Maybe your ad-block plugin is active?

        my pc has no ad block but when i click the " i agree " during the "we value your privacy" blablabla (i think it's during the update?) the ads were gone
