Off-topic comments confusion !!!

First, let's clarify the purpose of the platform;

The platform is an aggregator, it was built to connect the stories of many different cultures and to eliminate the confusion of distributed sources. In other words, its main purpose is to deliver novels to readers for free and to provide convenience by equipping them with the most advanced functions.

Of course, it is also equipped with comment and review functions so that readers can interact with each other. This means that as you are on a novel reading platform, you should share your comments about the novels. Because all users who prefer this place are together for this purpose.

We were never against off-topic comments, but the scope of the term "off-topic" is limitless. It can cause chaos if the level of off-topic comments is not adjusted well. In other words, discussions like "We are against the war in Ukraine" or "The movie Dune was terrible" or "I'm bored, suggest a game" should not be part of a novel reading platform.
Also, toxic conversations, sarcastic criticism, and other things that are irritating in daily life should have no place in a novel reading platform.

The comment "I want to read this novel, but I can't get time for it because of my exams, can you suggest something different, shorter and easier to read?" can be a very understandable comment, suitable for a level-headed off-topic comment and positively affecting communication between readers.

So when there is no categorizable topic, it is impossible to moderate it. It's impossible to list the topics that really shouldn't be talked about and make individual rules for each one, and it could go on forever. So off-topic cannot be categorized, and unfortunately when it is restricted, well-intentioned and ignorable off-topic comments will have to fall into this category. If some of them are allowed, when you try to block much worse ones, we will be forever confronted with the question "why hasn't that one been banned yet?" in reference to the other allowed off-topic comment.

So, please use our platform for its intended purpose. Read the novel and then discuss about it. There are many platforms where you can fulfill your daily chatting needs, choose one and satisfy your needs there.

Remember that this whole service is being offered to you for free, so at least try to pay a little respect to its rules.

PS: I'm working on a project where only the novel reading community can communicate with each other and it's not going to be completed anytime soon.

    Please make it so that when we try commenting again in the limit of 1-hour waiting period our message doesn't dissappear. You can send us back to the comment-writing panel after the warning and we can at least copy it. Currently all the things we wrote disappears 😢

    Hey NetherClaw, sorry for the long para. I've got two suggestions #1: New replies should go at the bottom rather than the top of comments or should be sorted by most liked reply #2: The report system is flawed, my comments get reported by some guy for "spoilers" etc. While there is no reason to report! I got my first restriction yesterday for a comment which wasn't justified to me tagged or reported. How is writing names of characters a spoiler??? Even if there is a hint, only the up to date readers would know the context behind it HENCE, there should be a minimum level where readers can report stuff of others, if possible only reputable readers should be able to report to reduce petty reports stemming from arguments(I've seen lots of others complains but nobody has spoke about it yet) . Thankyou for reading the suggestion in advance. I hope that this great site can be improved because honestly, I spend hours daily on here and its an experience you can't get elsewhere💙 -CaptainCrimson

    @NetherClaw, can you add Martial Online? I originally did not want to comment on a dev post, but I saw others doing it without warning, so It should be fine right? I originally wanted to recomend in discord, but I saw that you can only join if supporters. Before, it was that 3 months and lvl 8, or 1 year and lvl 5 allowed you to join, so I have to resort to this. Pls, pls, pls add Martial Online. It has 500+ chapters and is an amazing novel. I was not bored once.

      Was just reading your other comment on superhunt and you told it is dropped?If that is the case then it won't be added bcz this site only adds novels with 100+ chapters and this site doesn't translate any novels,it just pirates them from other sites which are translating it.I was begging nether to add Dao Of The Bizzare Immortal but he didn't reply bcz only 50 chapters were free at that time and the rest were not available.So I would say just give up.

        I found another site that has it but it's Chinese Ofc Google translate is trash but it's a bit better than most MTLs I have read

        If you really like this read Hyper Space Transmigration~超时空穿越 becauas it is kind of similar(although there is a whole arc on each world) amd mc is a scheming type(a bit arrogant tho) has around 800 chapters.my first mtl novel I finished and I loved it and the power system was kind of unique and the concept of multiverse although not creative,the way author described it and the lore was quite good,although the author's writing skills were not that good (it may be because it was mtl) but overall recommended(read till ch 110) and thanks for answering.Also I would suggest using mostly the site with 69.s(can't say full name).

    I don't mean to be rude and blast on people here but: Are we really rating something 5 star just because you SLIGHTLY enjoy it? Like I see a lot of novels being rated 4.8-5 and they are mediocre slightly above average and that's objectively as others also criticize the novel in the comment section. Most comment doesn't go into detail and just superficially state some random stuff like, oh the character dynamic is good or oh the premise is interesting. For god's sake, please read at least 200 chapters if the story is short or 500 if it's long. For example, [I'm not a regressor] deserves 4.5-4.6 at most. The author doesn't power scale properly and like many other novel, it suffers the same disease [the novel gets more sh*tty as it goes on]. [Re: Evolution Online] is a very good example of this as it started off great but then went to dump town at 1000ish. IDK about the current state as I've already dropped it.
