Summary

Su Qiuge transmigrated into a novel and became the villain’s cannon fodder younger sister who was constantly courting disaster.

Not only did her brother dislike her, but she also offended her brother’s sworn enemy, the male lead.

After she transmigrated, Su Qiuge decided to curry favor with the male lead so that he would abandon his plans of revenge against her. She wanted to transform her cannon fodder fate and became an obscure passerby in his life instead.

Her plans were going smoothly, until one day she saw the aloof and cold male lead staring at her with a terribly dark gaze full of possessive desire.

Su Qiuge:?? Male lead wake up! I’m the cannon fodder!

Later she realized that the male lead who seemed like a good student was actually black-bellied and full of unspeakable intentions towards her.

Chapter 63 This one thing instantly made me dislike the protagonist. She did a few things that i thought as idiotic before but i can look past that. I found myself groaning a few times reading a few scenes but this is the most frustrating to me who calls someone a "male pet" even when drunk? That remark came out of nowhere, and completely off the previous characteristics established for her. It's so degrading that I was surprised ML didn't get mad. It's not even remotely funny or cutesy at all

And he delivered it to his friend Who lived across the lake. His friend, in return sent him a letter which only said “FART” in bold language. And so our mc in his naive fury and rage, borrrowed a boat and went across the lake just to reprimand his friend. He knocked the door in his all glorious rampage, enough to shake mount Olympus with its- (sorry anyways) His friend (must have smirked after watching him and leant across the doorframe) mocked about how ‘seven winds weren’t able to move him, but just a FART made him transverse the lake. The end. Was it funny? Idk. Did I write it historically correct but in an incorrect manner? Yes. Would it have been funny if you did not know what fart meant? Idk. Anyways bubyes tc.

Oh, I think it’s a cultural difference, like how many jokes aren’t funny when translated. Or like how explaining genz humor to our grannies would fall short. Because there is a difference in ‘culture’ or ‘understanding’ of jokes. I mean honestly rarely funny jokes are not offending if you think deep enough or they are just dumb, but that doesn’t make them less funny. (Idk wtf am I even talking rn) but yeah I mean Chinese humor is very dependent on word play too and all of that gets lost in translation. And also like some things are just funny for whatsoever reason ya know? anyway here is an eg Fart is like b*llsh*t In Chinese (this is a true story btw)(idk why am I telling you this but anyways) There once lived 2 friends, separated by a lake. One day, one of the friend wrote a poem which in its all glory, described the ‘grandiosity’ of the poet. Bout how even the seven winds can’t move him etc etc ‘insert flowery language and pretty metaphors’

Oh damn fr? Maybe it's a difference in culture and humour but imo that scene was just goofy and a joke not meant to be taken personally... idk in my friend group we joke around w far worse and tbh as long as you don't cross over boundaries (which she clearly didn't since he like u said didn't rlly mind) then imo it's not smth to be sensitive about...

thought i was going to find the ml annoying tbh, but so far, i think it's pretty fucking funny. the way that mc literally has zero reaction at times and instead goes "oh" even at the strangest stunts that the ml pulls makes me cackle

Can someone tell me what cannon fodder mean?

Cannon fodder in actuality is a person who will be sacrificed for greater good. So if it's used in the story, it means a person who can elevate the protagonist's halo. (Ex: you bully someone, then the protagonist help that 'someone', making him/her look more kind and affectionate.)
