There is so much I'd like to say. I've spent the last few weeks reading this story from start to finish. I can definitely say, in terms of writing, this is one of the best Chinese fictions I have read. Pacing, character development (especially), and plot were well above standard. I even shed a few tears during a few moments of the story. Also, many of the highly negative reviews of the story are about the more beginning part (which imo was not bad at all, beginnings are always slow to set the pace), and people would just not read the rest of the story. Man you are missing out, the story really picks up and shoots for the stars as the story progresses!

This book really is good, the first book that made me read it completely from start to finish. Although it does have some points weak points in the story and some unfleshed out characters. The character that are really developed are really amazing, even if you read this again a year later, you would still recognize them. Overall, Read this if you like Martial arts novels and good character development.

Honestly, this novel makes me sick to my stomach personally, I don't know about any one else, I've been waiting for it to get good for 200+ chapters, no piece of self-reflection and self improvement in this novel, basically your standard average book

One of the only few books which I was able to read until the end. One could say that it was classic Xianxia, But it was still interesting enough to keep me going. Another good thing was that it was fully translated and complete.

Amazing read . This is my first time reading this author's work . Despite this , I find it very enjoyable . You should go for it if you have an urge to try it . You won't regret it .

I encountered the way of word counting early on it this novel (repeat statements, detail explanation of minor events, esc). Its a standard wuxia novel starting the cycle humiliation, to lucky break, to arrogant, and a new enemy every step of the way. Nothing stands of in this novel.

One of the best novel for me, the plot is good and is not that kinda cliche, we can see the character development of the mc and those characters around him.

One of the best, though I don't know why it's ranked so low.
For those who have read the legend of futian, you'll understand....................
