Chapter 134: Complicated

Liu Ye almost thought the Lord wouldn't show up. Not like it mattered to him since he wasn't in a position to even fight him. With such a level difference, the Lord only needed one single attack to remove him from existence so Liu Ye didn't mind Queen Luna taking over.

"I will handle him," Queen Luna informed confidently. "You can go up and finish the rest on your own, right?"

Liu Ye could only nod before Queen Luna stepped on the ground and launched him to the ceiling with a large pillar. He was about to be squashed into a paste when a hole opened on the fifth floor.

The group protecting the fault happened to be in a heated argument but they stopped at the sudden appearance of a stranger. Who would have thought Liu Ye would be thrown right in front of the vault?

"It's Grind God!"

Everyone in the group momentarily recognized the top player in the game even when his name was filled with question marks. Liu Ye wasn't even surprised and it actually spared him the trouble of introducing himself.

"Welcome everyone," Liu Ye greeted as he watched the whole group distance themselves from him. "If you guys expected more people then I will have to disappoint you. It's just me today."

It was funny how the defenders were moving away from the objective they were meant to protect but no one would blame them. It was Grind God they were facing, a man who could casually wipe out an experienced guild.

Liu Ye made eye contact with Xu Yue and Zhenzhen before letting the water pour out around him. "I'm a good guy so before I kill you all, let me give you a small piece of advice. A war between the four lands is about to break out so you should join one of them if you didn't already. They will give you some nice benefits depending on how strong you are."

"Guys! Don't listen to him! He is stalling while preparing to face us! Let's fire! He has no place to run away!"

Liu Ye almost thought he would get away with it but someone quickly caught him and alerted everyone in the group. They immediately prepared to fight when they saw him withdraw a single black pill and throw it toward them.

"Watch out!" the group swiftly dodge only to realize it was aimed at one of the highest experts in their group. "Wait! Isn't Queen Of Chess his woman?!"

Everyone looked at the two beauties in the middle of the group just before Xu Yue attacked without a warning. She began kicking and punching in all directions, forcing everyone to block the flames in hurry.

It was already too late when they realized it was only a diversion.

Liu Ye bombarded the whole group with Ice spears while gulping down on Mana potions and killed ten players before the fight even began.

Liu Ye naturally received half of the experience for everyone since Xu Yue began the fight but that didn't bother him. His fists covered with ice while three Small Water Whips hovered around him and he dove into close combat himself.

It was total chaos with no one taking the lead which quickly ended in a complete wipeout. Twenty-eight enemies fell before Xu Yue and Liu Ye both launched at themselves with their battle instinct activated to the maximum capacity. They looked at each other before the black-haired beauty withdrew her flames and wrapped her arms around her man.

Only in-game friends were able to interact with other players' gear and Xu Yue used this feature to its full potential as she lifted his bandana to kiss him passionately. She didn't even stop when Zhenzhen appeared out of nowhere and hugged Liu Ye from behind which forced him to act.

"I think that's enough…" Liu Ye muttered as he pulled away and turned to hug Zhenzhen instead. "You did well. Good job."

"Hehe, but I didn't do anything," Zhenzhen muttered cutely while enjoying his pats.

"This is exactly why," Liu Ye replied before suggesting, "How about you two help me get the treasures out before we split up again?

The thought of killing his sweet angel sister was gut-wrenching so Liu Ye didn't mind postponing it as long as he could.

"The treasury is locked though. You need a key which is in the hands of the Lord," Xu Yue informed casually as they walked towards a heavy iron treasury gate. "You have it, right? You needed to kill him to get here anyway."

There was no doubt in her voice as if she believed that Liu Ye could kill anyone he wanted as long as he put his mind to it. The problem was he didn't and he suddenly realized the incoming issue.

"Actually…" Liu Ye muttered as he withdrew his game profile. "Let's change the plan then. How about I challenge you to a bending duel so that you don't lose your experience? We can settle it now."

Liu Ye sent Xu Yue an invitation but she wasn't dumb enough to accept it right away. "Why are you acting suspicious? What are you hiding?"

"It's complicated," Liu Ye replied with a sigh. "The NPC that gave me this quest is currently fighting the lord. She has been acting strange so I don't want her to meet you."

Just as Liu Ye explained, the whole castle began to shake. The tremors only lasted a few seconds before they ended as quickly as they appeared.

"She might be done already. Let's hurry," Liu Ye informed as he re-sent the invitation. "I will tell you everything once I'm done with this Quest. I don't want you two to get hurt."

Knowing Queen Luna's craziness, she might even kill Xu Yue just to eliminate her competition so it was better for the two to never meet each other.

"Who is she?" Xu Yue questioned with raised eyebrows and agreed reluctantly. "I trust you but I want to know all the details later."

[Ding! Player: Queen Of Chess has accepted your challenge.]

"Don't worry, I will make it quick," Liu Ye assured as he withdrew a Water Whip which was the least painful method of killing. Unfortunately, he was one step too late.

A hole in the floor appeared right behind them and a lady in a white dress rose up on top of a stone pillar. Liu Ye didn't hesitate to strike Xu Yue despite Queen Luna appearing but she only flicked her finger to shoot a fireball that blasted his whip into oblivion.

"Hello, ladies. It has been a while since I wanted to meet you."
