Chapter 83: PK Players

Liu Ye tried questioning Katherine to understand what she meant but she simply ignored it and focused on Zhenzhen.

"Little Bunny, hear me out. I have to go now but you should continue training with your brother," Katherine suggested. "Using Healing will also bring you Elemental Points that you can use to unlock other abilities in your Elemental Tree. Instead of your Water Element though, I want you to focus on your Battle Spirit instead."

"Oh," Zhenzhen acted as if she realized something and glanced at her shoulder. "Talking about it, where is Puffy?"

She tried calling for him but the blue sparrow did not appear.

"He is here," Katherine replied and displayed a white crystal on her palm. "The last time Puffy appeared in the Mainland, he was using his own Mana. Now that you are his Master, you have to use your own Mana to summon it. If you require his assistance, just take out this crystal and call his name."

[Spirit Essence Crystal]

[A crystal containing rich Spirit Essence. It is commonly used for crafting or Potion Making. It can also be used to store Spirits.]

[Spirit: Battle Spirit - Puffy]

Liu Ye raised his eyebrows at the crystal Katherine was casually handing out. His own outfit had two of them but they weren't even one-tenth of its size. Just the crystal alone without the Battle Spirit should be worth thousands.

"Puffy," Zhenzhen called out as soon as she received the crystal and it momentarily shone with light. The light formed into a shape of a bird and they soon saw Puffy flying around while chirping happily.

"Did you miss me?" Zhenzhen asked playfully and extended her finger for Puffy to land. "Big Bro, this is Puffy. He is my best friend."

Liu Ye felt strange greeting a bird but he had to give him some credit. "Thanks for taking care of my sister."

To his surprise, Puffy nodded while puffing its chest proudly. It was definitely more than just a normal bird.

Each second Zhenzhen lost 1 Mana but she didn't seem to care much. Her Mana was so high she could easily keep Puffy outside for at least 26 minutes.

"Puffy is a really powerful Battle Spirit so improve your Spirit Element first," Katherine explained further before glancing at Liu Ye. "If you don't know what to choose, ask your brother. He is more experienced when it comes to games."

"That's only natural," Liu Ye muttered as he patted Zhenzhen on the shoulder. He already planned to take care of her but now that she was so powerful, it was a no-brainer to take advantage of her strength.

He could also boost her level and teach her at the same time.

"One more thing," Katherine continued after looking at Zhenzhen seriously. "You will meet with a sweet lady tomorrow named Avi. I want you to trust her since she is there to help you. In case you are in danger, please stick to her."

"Mhmm, I will."

"Alright then, see you on the other side," Katherine said her last goodbyes and finally disappeared. They were still in the middle of the street so they couldn't really talk too much in case any other player overhears them.

"Let's go. We don't have much time left so let's make the best use of it," Liu Ye announced after noticing their time and pulled Zhenzhen with him. "You can play with Puffy on the way."

He had so many potions that he wouldn't deny her this bit of fun.

"Where are we going?" Zhenzhen questioned curiously, causing Liu Ye to wonder that himself. The urge to test Zhenzhen's Healing in battle was just too strong to disregard it.

"We will get you a Permit and you will help me with—"

Liu Ye paused halfway through his sentence as he suddenly felt buzzing in his arm. He opened his profile and found that he had multiple unread messages from Xu Yue herself.

[Queen of Chess: What happened? Did they disturb you in some way? Feel free to teach them a lesson just let me know how it went.]

The message was sent to him right before he began his killing spree. It was then followed up with another message right around the time when he killed King Scorpion.

[Queen of Chess: Congratulations babe! Are you in some trouble? How many White Knights did you kill?]

[Queen of Chess: Hello? Babe? Are you there? Still busy?]

[Queen of Chess: Probably busy…]

10 minutes later…

[Queen of Chess: Text me once you are free.]

50 minutes later…

[Queen of Chess: Now I'm pretty sure you are just ignoring me.]

[Queen of Chess: I think I'm going to log out and visit you in your room~]

Three minutes later…

[Queen of Chess: Come on, you are killing me... I want to know the tea!]

Liu Ye couldn't help but rub his temples to avoid a headache. When Xu Yue was curious about something, she would always be extremely persistent until she got what she wanted. Compared to other girlfriends who would simply pout, Xu Yue went the extra mile instead.

He was about to call her to explain what happened when he saw the latest texts sent just seconds ago.

[Queen of Chess: I think we need your help. We are fighting a field boss but some group appeared and they are threatening to kill us if we don't give up the boss. They have a clear number advantage and surrounded us.]

[Queen of Chess: Now they are clearly toying with us and wait for the boss to kill us. I don't think we can survive this.]

"What happened?" Zhenzhen questioned after noticing his change of expression.

Liu Ye's face naturally turned serious knowing his girl was being bullied.

[Grind God: Coming. Send your location.]

"Your big sis is in trouble. We need to rush to help her," Liu Ye explained as he quickly picked Zhenzhen up and began running while carrying her. "Hold tight!"

Her speed was too slow for them so they had to cope differently.

"Puffy, get inside. I will call you later," Zhenzhen ordered and recalled her Battle Spirit as they rushed through the streets of Expert District.

Since his inventory was basically full of unpacked Player Bags, Liu Ye made a quick pitstop by the bank and deposited everything to free the space for more drops. If by any chance he died, he didn't want to drop his Earth Stone either.

[Queen of Chess has sent you her location. Would you like to pin it to the map?]

They were near the entrance of the Teleportation Station when Liu Ye finally received Xu Yue's location. It just happened they were near one of the main cities so they didn't hesitate to teleport.

"Damn, those bitches…" Xu Yue cursed as she glared at the group of men blocking the Waterfall Cave's entrance. They were only four of them but all were higher level than her and their names were red even before they attacked anyone.

PK Players.

She already heard some rumors of a Party that was running around and killing other players but didn't expect they would fall victims to them. Despite being four versus twenty, her group seemed so much much less experienced. The four men were simply dodging their skillshots while laughing and pushing them back to fight the Field Boss.

"Miss, we have to either kill the boss or try to break through them. Maybe some of us with survive," one of her subordinates suggested. "There is no way they can stop all of us."

"Let's buy some time first," Xu Yue replied as she turned around to the giant brown bear behind them and added some damage with her own fireballs. "We are not giving up! Group one and two, attack the Boss! Three and four, stay with me. We won't let some randoms push us around."

She didn't even need to tell them about her special reinforcements as their morale was still high. The only problem was the four men that kept trolling them around. They were constantly attacking them with long-ranged abilities but when Xu Yue counter attacked, she couldn't do much to them.

'They didn't learn those skills in games... It came from real life,' Xu Yue thought as the men finally reacted to her decision.

"My, my, we gave you so many chances to surrender but you don't listen. I think we should stop playing with our food and start killing." A man with a star scar on his forehead suggested. "How about we leave the girl for last and enjoy her?"

His three buddies only laughed, clearly showing their stance.

"Fire! Don't let them get close!" Xu Yue ordered immediately as she gulped a Mana Potion. All she needed to do was stall until Liu Ye comes to save her but she knew how hard it will be.

Swoosh!

Twelve benders began launching long-distance abilities yet the four men thought nothing of it and simply ran straight at them. The Airbender of the group began using wind to redirect their abilities while the rest ran behind him with their fists covered in their elements.

This has already happened once before but Xu Yue had no other tactics available. Once they let them come any close, they would instantly lose due to their superior martial arts.

"Fire Stream!" Xu Yue ordered and suddenly filled the cave with flames. Other Firebenders joined her only to witness multiple earth walls raise up in front of their enemies.

Fire did almost nothing against Earth, forcing her to withdraw. It once again came to the Melee battle but this time the four men were going for the kill.

"Fuck off!" Xu Yue cursed as she launched herself forward with her fire daggers in her hands but it was all for naught.

"Whoa, so eager to fight," the star face commented playfully as his team split up to focus everyone else. "Don't worry, we will play with you soon too."
