Banished to Another World
Chapter 39: Meeting again

No one expected the human-faced bird Jiu Feng to give up on everyone else and go to grab Yuan Zhan of all people.

Yuan Zhan fought off the bird and one of Jiu Feng’s claws grasped one of Yuan Zhan’s legs. Then, something even more unexpected happens. Meng, who was lying on his stomach under Lie’s foot, flipped over his big brother and charged towards the bird like a rabbit in distress…… his hands grabbed onto Jiu Feng’s other thigh that was moving to grab Yuan Zhan.

Even Jiu Feng was caught by surprise. He(it) never expected this two-legs who didn’t even have his spear to rush over and catch him with his bare hands.

If it’s any other time, there’s no way he could be caught by a two-legs so easily. This time, the two-legs he wanted was a fierce fighter, learning from rabbits, the two-legs was kicking him with his back on the ground. In order to not kill his catch today, he had to fly around him at a low altitude and look for the right moment to catch one of those legs.

Who’d have thought that just after grabbing that two-legged monster’s leg, his own thigh would be grabbed by another two-legs?

The warriors in the cave roared wildly when Meng caught Jiu Feng’s thigh. They rushed over and hurled their spears one after another.

Jiu Feng lost his temper, he opened his beak, his wind blades either broke or hit down the spears coming towards him. His huge wings fan down and strong bursts of wind from it knocked everyone down. The wind was too strong that everyone closed their eyes for a moment.

When Lie and the other warriors opened their eyes again, Jiu Feng had already pulled a big distance between them, taking Zhan and Meng far from reach.

On the ground, some people howled in anguish, some people cried or yelled in anger, some chased after them but the bird soon left them far behind.

Up in the sky, Er Meng’s whole person was in a state of shock. He didn’t know how he could have had the courage to pounce on the bird. He just didn’t want to lose his good brother as well after losing the little slave. He didn’t think he’d be able to grab unto the mountain god’s thigh……

When he finally reacted, he’s already taken into the sky by mountain god-daren.

Looking at the figures of people and the ground getting smaller and smaller behind them, Er Meng gulped and held on tighter on Jiu Feng’s thick thigh.

“Zhan?” Er Meng felt that his good companion beside him was way more miserable than he is.

He had grabbed onto Jiu Feng’s foot with both hands and could hug it, Yuan Zhan was hanging in the air with a leg caught by Jiu Feng’s claw.

All of his blood ran back to his head, in just a few moments, blood was congesting on Zhan’s face.

Jiu Feng was still rising higher. It’s getting harder for Yuan Zhan to breathe, so he took in a deep breath and adjusted his muscles. That body without excess fat stretched out into beautiful curves. Then, using his stomach’s muscle, he did a push-up motion upside down. His upper body folded up and was nearly parallel with his legs, his hands stretched out to grab onto the bird’s leg.

He grabbed it!

But this position was also quite pitiful.

Yuan Zhan was not one to submit himself to the circumstances, he also dared to do what most people didn’t. While hanging in the air he dared to do all sorts of acrobatic moves, he bent his caught leg’s knee and brought his other leg up to get a foothold between his hands. He tried his best to shift his body weight on his hands to lessen the stress on his leg.

Er Meng, watching this series of actions, opened his mouth several times. The strong wind filled his mouth and slapped his head back.

Jiu Feng didn’t look down, but he always felt that this two-legged monster would already be climbing up his body if one of his legs was not in his claws.

He didn’t want the other one. It’s very easy to kill him, but since he caught him already, let’s just bring them both to play with little two-legs.

“Cheeeihk—!” Two-legged monsters, I’ll show you my ultimate speed!

*Whoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!* Jiu Feng stopped flying linearly and started alternating between sharp rises and steep dives, all using his best speed.

“Aaaaah!” Yuan Zhan and Er Meng were being played like ragdolls by him. These two could only remind themselves to hug the bird tightly, they absolutely couldn’t let go. Yuan Zhan endured the awful experience with gritted teeth, while Er Meng screamed like he’s venting.

Meanwhile, on Yan Mo’s side.

Shortly after Jiu Feng left him to find other two-legged monsters, he had woken up in a daze.

His lips were dry, his mouth felt so sticky.

Yan Mo gulped down his spit but his throat was still too dry and sore.

Relying on his survival instincts, he pushed off the pebble pile on him and crawled to another side of the nest. His hands roamed around until he found his leftover melon skin from yesterday.

Thankfully he didn’t use the other melon skin for anything yesterday, this would likely save his life today.

And thanks to that rain yesterday, last night was very cold. The melon skin that would usually be rotten by now was only darker on the edges of the split, it didn’t smell bad.

There was some rain gathered inside, but Yan Mo couldn’t be bothered to think about clean and dirty water, he buried his head into the melon skin and drank. After drinking, he dug in from the mushy interior to the harder rind, cleanly gnawing the entire thing. Only the outermost part of the skin was left so he reluctantly tossed it away and grabbed another piece over.

The damn bird. Keeping a pet but didn’t know how to look after him, didn’t even remember to keep some food in the nest, unforgivable!

But looking at the big pile of pebbles stacked on him like a stone grave, Yan Mo suddenly felt that the silly bird wasn’t that unforgivable.

Yan Mo, who had finished eating all of the melon, turned over his body, letting the sun shine on his face. He casually grabbed a now-thin melon skin from a side to cover his eyes.

So, he had to endure more?

But why did his body feel so weak? It felt like his whole body was scooped out? When he felt around his ribs, it felt a lot thinner than before.

As expected, rapid healing was not without consequences. When his body was unable to keep up with sufficient nutrition, what’s being squeezed dry was probably his own vitality. He never took this power seriously but in the span of these two days, he got hurt again and again. While the guide, or his own body, never failed to carry out the command to heal his body in the fastest speed possible. Regardless of whether his body could handle it or not.

Yan Mo really wanted to experiment on this. If he didn’t eat or drink and starves, he wanted to know if he could die.

Because that process would be long and painful, he didn’t want to do it on himself. Once again he thought, it’s too bad there were no experiment subjects he could use here.

But he had a theory. Even if he’s buried in a coffin underground for several dynasties, he might still not die. His state of living might not be that great either. If people from 10000 years later dig him out, maybe they’ll only find an empty coffin with not much anything inside. That doesn’t mean he’s not around anymore. Maybe in the state of prolonged starvation, his body will turn to consume itself, until finally there’s only one cell left of him.

As a cell, his needs will drastically reduce. In theory, as long as his brain wave is still alive, there is air and some moisture, he can keep living on indefinitely.

This speculation was rather scary. After all, he’s considering the worst possibility. But following the same line of thought, no good thing in this world was for free. If he didn’t pay attention to this food problem now, he might end up becoming a sickly doctor in the future, never regaining his health.

Weak body? Getting sick on a daily basis? In this kind of world? Ha! In the end what awaited him will be: always getting hurt because he’s weak, always gets fully-recovered, always having a weak body, then gets more injuries and illnesses because of his weak body. It was a vicious cycle.

Look! God loves him so much. There’s no hint from the guide regarding this matter, he had to fumble around on his own. If he didn’t notice in time, wouldn’t he be reduced to a miserable state in the future?

What’s the use of all the power and riches if he had a sickly and weak body?

If his body was never in good condition, how would he protect his own son?

Yan Mo halted on this thought and mulled things over. In the end, it’s his selfishness that made him want his precious baby to come back to his side. He should consider his child’s best interest and not let him come to this cruel world.

Putting aside the complicated issue, after deducing this worst future based on how much his automatic self-healing ability could do, he once again confirmed his thinking that god really didn’t put him here to live comfortably!

With this speculation in mind, a certain someone swore to eat hard and train hard, absolutely wouldn’t let himself become some sickly weak doctor. This decision led to a certain tribe in the future having a formidable six-packed priest who could throw needles like lightning.

After playing for a while, Jiu Feng suddenly remembered the little two-legs was still waiting for him to return. He stopped the game early and quickly dragged the dizzied two-legged monsters back to his nest.

Er Meng already couldn’t scream at this moment. He could only hold the bird’s leg tightly, scared he would fall from this height.

Yuan Zhan was still somewhat clear-minded because he didn’t spend his energy on screaming. He even had spare time to check the situation of Meng beside him.

Although he’s caught by Jiu Feng, Yuan Zhan never gave up looking for ways to run. Right now they’re up in the air and he couldn’t do anything to it, he’s waiting for this bird to take them to the nest. As soon as he stood on solid ground, he would immediately fight it again.

Yan Mo doesn’t know where the silly bird ran to. being hungry, he hoped the bird was out to prey and would snatch some food back for him on the way. Until he could leave this hundred metres high prison, he could only depend on his bird owner to feed him.

Bored and feeling weak, Yan Mo rolled over to the shadows and summoned the guide to check his points. When he got the reward before, he had -638 points, later he got 4 points added, so the total reduction was -634 points.

The guide page appeared on his right hand.

On it, it detailed that he had treated Cao Ting and Yang Wei’s legs. The severity of their injuries differed so one gave him -5 points and the other gave -10 points. Additionally, teaching people about wooden crutches actually gave him -1 points.

In total his latest scum points reduction was -650 points.

That’s right! The healer pouch, he had never looked at or held this treasure from when he first got it till now.

He opened up the reward list, pressed on the words Healer Pouch and said ‘take out’ in his mind.

Then the words ‘healer pouch’ shone. With a flash, there was an additional leaf-green pouch in his hand. It looked like it’s made of animal leather.

At the same time, the reward list on his palm also showed how to use the healer pouch.

Yan Mo memorised it one by one, planning to try it out later.

The healer pouch was very small, about as big as a waist bag. It also had belts on both sides and buckle, it can be fastened at the waist right away.

Whether it was the pouch or the belt and buckle, they looked like they’re made from animal skin and tooth. Although it might be eye-catching on his body, it wouldn’t seem too strange to anyone, they’d only think that the person who made this bag was quite skilful.

The healer pouch had a flap. Open the flap and you could put things inside.

Yan Mo took a pebble and tried putting it in the pouch. The guide wrote that he couldn’t just think about it. He had to physically put the actual item into the bag.

It’s in!

Seemed like this healer pouch determined that the pebble had a medicinal function and belonged in a category of stone remedy.

When taking something out, first he had to put his hand in before the listing of what’s in the pouch appeared in his mind. He’d have to concentrate on the item he wanted or directly call out the name. The item related to it would appear in his hand, and he could take it out.

If it’s rather big or heavy and he couldn’t grab it to put it inside, he had to open the pouch and put it above the item. He also had to think about taking it in in his mind or say the word, “store”, and the item would be taken into the pouch.

In short, though it’s not that convenient to use, it’s definitely better than the regular bag.

On another note, he wouldn’t get another one if he lost this pouch, so to be on the safe side, he should leave the pouch in the reward list when he’s not using it.

What’s convenient was, if he took it out and put it on his waist the first time, the next time he called it out, it’d directly appear on his waist again.

After several more tries, he knew that this bag really wouldn’t take just anything. Anything that had nothing to do with medicinal plants or remedies, like his animal skin, he couldn’t put it in no matter how he tried to ram it in.

After messing around for a while, Yan Mo put the healer pouch back into the guide and took another pebble into his hand.

Although the healer pouch was magical, as a doctor, he was more interested in the healing properties of this stone.

Does this stone only treat the juice of that shrub, or can it play the same effect with similar injuries?

Can this stone be taken orally in addition to external use?

Unfortunately, this stone belonged to inorganic material, not organic, or he can find out about it through the guide.

1000 points, ah, 1000 points. When could he get that many points? But he certainly wouldn’t get any points reduced by staying here.

Yan Mo threw away the stone, rolled over towards the sunshine, easily pulled a melon skin and covered his eyes with it. His hands pillowed the back of his head, crossing his legs on his thigh. While bathing in the sun and killing germs on himself, his brain couldn’t stop flying off again.

He began to seriously consider the possibility of making a hang glider from the twigs and grasses in the nest and his animal skin…… But he thought that it’s more realistic to tear his animal hide into a rope.

Or he could think of a way to trick that bird to take him out, he could express complete submission to it.

After the rain yesterday, he got a fever and nearly got dehydrated into becoming a mummy. Once winter was here…… maybe he should’ve jumped down from the start!

“Keeeeh—!”

Silly bird was back? Yan Mo pulled his hands from under his head, and took off the melon skin on his eyes…… He truly hoped the bird was bringing some food for him.

Jiu Feng circled the nest a few times, he’s worried about the little two-legs’s condition and wanted to see if he’s still alive.

The strong warriors Yuan Zhan and Er Meng were worn from being tossed around, but surprisingly still had a clear mind.

The two also saw the huge bird’s nest below them.

In the nest…… what was that?!

“Ee?” Yan Mo, who had taken off the melon skin on his eyes, saw something he had never expected to see.

The silly bird was back, and on his claws……

Yan Mo actually felt a bit excited. It’s that type of joy you feel when seeing others suffering, as well as some inexplicable comfort. He’s finally not all alone!

The big bird got closer and now he could see the people on his claws clearly.

Yan Mo raised his hand, waved at the warriors staring at him with wide eyes and smiled slightly, “Hi, you also came.”

Zhan and Meng ddn’t get tossed into the nest, Jiu Feng tossed them to a clearing surrounded by bushes.

That nest was where he keeps little two-legs, this clearing in the midst of thunder’s mouth was where he usually traps his preys.

When Zhan and Meng saw the ground getting closer, Meng hurriedly let go and jumped down without waiting for Jiu Feng to slow down more.

Jiu Feng threw Zhan to the ground, he hugged his leg and instinctively rolled forward to absorb the impact from falling.

Er Meng was about to run when Yuan Zhan finished his roll and pulled him from his sitting position, “Don’t move! These are thunder’s mouth!”

Meng didn’t dare to run around. The bushes surrounded them tightly, there was no gap they could get out from. He looked up at the human-faced bird flying to the bird’s nest and exclaimed, “Just now, what was that? That’s the little slave, isn’t it? He didn’t die, right?”

Not just didn’t die…… Yuan Zhan was also surprised, that person could stay alive for so long around Jiu Feng? His expression and his tone, that’s not like a prey with death looming on his head. It’s more like he’s also one of the owners of that nest.
