Banished to Another World
Chapter 40.1: A lively day 1/2

Little two-legs was no longer just laying there without moving. When he saw him coming back, he waved his paws at him, this made Jiu Feng happy.

“I want to go down to piss.” Yan Mo stood up and opened his hands towards the human-faced bird perching at the edges of the nest. His hands made a flapping motion and he made squatting motions with his lower half.

Jiu Feng didn’t understand what that meant. The little two-legs did it a few more times and lifted his fur skirt, then stood straight next to the nest wall. Yan Mo acted like he’s going to do the same as before, grabbing a melon skin over, and Jiu Feng called at him before he really squatted down.

“Keeh!” Don’t make the nest dirty.

Yan Mo stretched out his hands and watched the human-faced bird quietly.

Jiu Feng tilted his head, then mimicking Yan Mo’s movements, extending his own claws to him.

Success! This big bird’s human-looking face really wasn’t just for show, Yan Mo praised excitedly. This bird’s brain must be bigger than the other birds.

Yuan Zhan rubbed his ankle. He got lucky this time. The human-faced bird didn’t directly catch into his flesh, he clutched onto Yuan Zhan’s ankle like clutching a branch.

His right ankle and lower leg hurt a lot, but the bones were okay. It might swell up but it’d heal in a few days.

“Zhan, look!” Meng hit his shoulder and pointed to that stone pillar.

Yuan Zhan raised his head to see the human-faced bird gliding down from the air with a person hanging from his leg.

When they were about a meter high from the ground, Yan Mo let go and jumped to the ground, barely executing a safe landing.

Meng jumped and screamed, yelling at Yan Mo, “Xiaomo, we’re here!”

I saw you, man. Yan Mo waved his hand to the miserable duo within the shrubbery fence and walked towards the small stream from yesterday. He lifted his fur skirt and emptied his bladder.

Phew, that felt great!

The teen body that had yet to mature shook slightly.

Jiu Feng folded down his wings and settled on a high place. He looked at the little two-legs below then glanced at the other two-legged monsters on the other side.

Should he let them out so the little two-legs can play with them?

“This is great, you’re alive! Everyone thought you were dead, haha, I almost thought I was going to die, too.” Meng was so happy he couldn’t arrange his words in a logical way. His hand never stopped hitting Yuan Zhan beside him.

Yuan Zhan finally had enough of being hit and kicked him.

Meng snapped out of it and jumped, excitedly pointing at Yuan Zhan like he just realised, “Little slave, Xiaomo, look! Look who also came, it’s Zhan ah!”

Yan Mo mouth twitched. This news didn’t make him happy in the slightest, alright? He’d rather the one here now was Yang Wei, anyone but Yuan Zhan.

At least Yang Wei is easier to control in some aspects. but Yuan Zhan…… This brat is definitely a schemer.

Yuan Zhan wasn’t an idiot. He could tell that his family’s slave didn’t seem happy at all at seeing him. Although the little slave seemed to have thinned a little, his movements were less restricted than them. This made him very curious about how he stayed alive during these few days and how he could get so much freedom.

Yan Mo turned to shout at the human-faced bird. “I’m hungry.” There was no resentment in his tone and patting his own stomach. He gestured taking something to his mouth and moving his jaws like biting.

This action was easy to understand. Little chicks would also tweet-tweet and open their beaks like this when they want food. Jiu Feng quickly understood.

Jiu Feng lifted up, but didn’t shoot to the sky right away. He flew towards Yan Mo and held out his claw to Yan Mo.

Yan Mo didn’t get it, but considering that this wasn’t the time to oppose the bird, he once again held the claw with both hands to express his submission and friendly intentions.

Jiu Feng took Yan Mo to the open space, flew down and shook his claw.

Yan Mo sensed what he wanted to do and jumped down on his own accord.

At ease now, Jiu Feng flew off. Little two-legs had his monster family to play with and Jiu Feng didn’t have to worry they’d escape together.

On the other side, Yan Mo, Yuan Zhan and Meng triumphantly regrouped.

Meng was stupefied to see Yan Mo talking with mountain god Jiu Feng. When Jiu Feng sent him over to their place, he’s even more amazed that he lost all words. He stared at the little slave like he lost his brain, not saying anything from the moment Yan Mo jumped down to now.

Yuan Zhan finally said something, “You’re still alive.”

Yan Mo was a little puzzled. He could hear some complicated emotions from these words.

“Yes, I’m still alive.”

“Why didn’t mountain god Jiu Feng eat you?” Yuan Zhan got straight to the point.

Yan Mo already knew that they’d ask questions like this when he saw them, so he already had a plan on how to answer. He just didn’t expect that the human-faced bird was known as a Mountain God to them. Because of that, the excuse he had prepared changed slightly, turning into: “Because mountain god Jiu Feng wants me to make me his priest.”

The boy said it with a tranquil expression, unfortunately, his current appearance didn’t fit this expression.

“Ah! Aaah! Aaaaah!” Needless to say, the one making these weird noises was naturally Er Meng.

This guy pointed at Yan Mo then at someplace in the air, then glanced at Yuan Zhan. Finally a sentence squeezed out from his mouth, “You really lost your little slave now.”

Yuan Zhan raised an eyebrow and snorted. He would never acknowledge it. So what if you’re the priest mountain god Jiu Feng chooses, you’re my slave no matter what. Want to stop being my slave? Then you have to beat me first.

Just when Yan Mo wanted to add more, Yuan Zhan got up and barked, “Take off your clothes!”

At the same time in an open space still within the same continent, an old priest was sitting cross-legged, deeply meditating under the sun. Suddenly he shook violently and lifted his head. His eyes opened to the farthest limit, the pupils had rolled back to his sockets, his lips trembled for a while before he yelled out, “Tribe, a new tribe. The mountain God has appointed a priest!”

Hearing this, his young disciple sitting in the same position beside him immediately rushed forward to hold up the old priest who was falling backwards. The disciple shouted anxiously in a low voice: “Lord Diwu!”

The old priest grasped the disciple’s wrist, all-white eyeballs fixedly stared at the young man. He used all of his strength to say the last words before his death, “Jiuyuan…… this tribe will become our biggest enemy……”

And Yan Mo, who didn’t know his tribe already became another tribe’s nemesis before it had even been made, was shocked to silence at Yuan Zhan’s words.

“What did you say?” He doubted his hearing.

Meng jabbed at Yuan Zhan, “Don’t be in such a hurry, isn’t your leg hurting? I’m not even in such a hurry to grope him!”

Yuan Zhan almost laughed in anger because of these two, “I told you to take it off because your clothes are the biggest. Don’t you guys want to get out of the thunder’s mouth?”

“This bush is called thunder’s mouth?” That’s very appropriate. To act like he hadn’t misunderstood the other party, Yan Mo quickly pulled off his fur clothes.

“Wah! Zhan you are so smart!” Er Meng’s eyes shone, looking at Yuan Zhan with worship.

“You take yours off too!” Yuan Zhan snapped at him. How are these two so carefree? Is the mountain god so reasonable? Once angered, those claws can slash you to pieces. The little slave is the mountain god’s priest. What about him and Meng? Sacrifices to be offered up to the mountain god? Not taking advantage of mountain god’s absence to escape, are they stupid?

Yuan Zhan tore apart Meng’s fur armour and used it to wrap his legs, tying up leather cord around it to keep it in place. Next he ripped out the leg part of the armour to use on his hands. He didn’t do anything to the one on his body.

He didn’t do anything else with Yan Mo’s fur. Directly draping it on his head, he wriggled it around so his eyes could see.

Having armed himself like this, Yuan Zhan moved towards the direction with the least amount of bushes with arms wrapped with two fur armours worth of furs.

Meng looked at him nervously from behind.

Yuan Zhan was responsible for opening the path. Not only did he have to make it outside the bushes, he had to do his best to clear up the obstacles for the two behind.

These sort of bushes grew with roots entangling each other, but as long as you had enough strength you could pull it out one by one, the roots left in the soil wasn’t a big threat if you stamped the soil to cover it.

Yan Mo looked up to the sky. He prayed that Jiu Feng wouldn’t come back quickly. Not to give them time to escape, but because he wanted to prove something to the human-faced bird.

Luckily, even after all three of them were completely out of the thunder’s mouth bushes, Jiu Feng hadn’t come back.

Although they’d gotten out of there, they couldn’t entirely avoid getting plant juices on themselves. Luckily, this time Yan Mo knew how to treat this poisonous plant so they didn’t have to be in pain for long. Though Yuan Zhan who walked out first had to suffer for a bit longer because Yan Mo’s the last one to come out.

Yuan Zhan’s whole body might be wrapped around like a bear, but there would still be some openings left no matter how tightly covered with furs and he used his bare hands to pull out the plants. It would’ve been fine if he had made a glove with their furs, but at this time no such thing as ‘gloves’ had ever been made, so his hands sustained the most serious injuries.

Meng was very curious about those pebbles. He looked like he wanted to take some with him.

Yan Mo soaked his fur clothes in the stream. He held it down with stones and let water wash away the plant juices, while speaking to the two warriors about to walk away, “Try looking up there. What do you see?”

Yuan Zhan and Meng looked up at the same time at the direction Yan Mo was pointing at.

“The red grass?” Meng had seen the long stretch of red-purple plants, but he didn’t think much about it. There’s a lot of weird plants in this world.

Yuan Zhan turned away towards a high point leaning on the stone pillar. Once up there, he looked down at the red grasses from a higher point of view. Meng hit his own head then also ran over.

“Aside from the red grass, there’s…… a lake? Is that lake’s light red from the blood of the sacrifices?” Yuan Zhan asked.
