To add to my review regarding show vs novel- the tv show is in some ways drastically different than the story but seems to follow the overall same direction. However, aside from the age thing, the show seems to indicate that the transmitigation happened when she lost the phoenix blood, but the story seems to indicate it was from birth. The Prince is muuuuch less ... bratty? in the TV version and comes to the realization that he likes her pretty fast, whereas in the novel it's... wow. Okay, he's a pampered teen. It takes awhile. The TV series has that no love curse, which is wtf and doesn't seem to be in the novel at -all- so that's weird. XD But the novel gives you more detail about, for instance, the struggle to get into the school, more information about family and fighting politics, it makes it far more clear that she has a LOT of foundational knowledge (that the TV version doesn't have since she had virtually no training compared to the novel where she remembers the master's early teachings). Anyway, I am enjoying the novel more than I enjoyed the TV show (which was well done enough that I looked for the novel).

The plot is okay, but it's annoying because at all times, literally anything that can go wrong, goes wrong and it just ends up feeling painfully contrived. That and the fact that the prince is the most idiotic, arrogant, sadistic jerk in literature makes it far less enjoyable than I hoped.

On Chapter 738 and still enjoying it. I don't much like the prince's way of "affection" but at least the MC is mostly crafty enough to manage him. Translation seems good - just that the comment notes are not visible. You'll see a marker for a note, but the chapter won't have the note at the end. If you came in from the drama, you'll find several things are significantly different (MC is 13 or 14, for instance).
