My review is more of a 4. 5 bit I rounded it up bc of how much I liked the MC. This novel is horror with an insane MC. Insane like that type that needs professional help. The plot was cool in my opinion and the ending really fit the story. Just beware of the tragedy tag. Although MC isn't normal, I'd say he was still smart. What I really liked was that he could still feel emotions like regular people. There were times where he was happy, scared, and even sad. I loved him the most. The story is cool bc the MC is just like every other person. He's not some special person that stops the Hell App or figures out the secrets of the world. He just tried to survive to the best of his ability

A low quality mimic of popular horror stories. There isn’t a ton of original content and the author is terrible at crafting a descriptive setting. You’ll often feel confused when the author describes an impossible sequence of events. (An example is two people holding each other while running up a staircase. Then, person in the back suddenly stops and kicks a ghost while the person in the front continues running at full speed. Somehow they are still holding each other. ) The protagonist is a chaotic 'evil' character with impulse control issues. This never really matters because he’s forced at act like a nice person. The characterization is bland and inconsistent but the protagonist is somehow so irrelevant that it doesn’t matter.

This is awesome. Players are forced to play the game Hell App in this Death Game genre book, where they're completely normal humans who have to use information and clues to solve the games and survive against evil spirits. The MC has a mental problem in which he finds joy in other people's misery and loves seeing 'good' people suffer, while he also has a physiological rejection when performing well himself, such as sudden anaemia and vomiting.

This is my favourite horror novel. So let's start with what makes this novel so good. First of all, the author was able to create an incredibly unique main character, which was a breath of fresh air. He's clever, selfish and insane. Considering that the author chose an extremely bizarre way to portray the protagonist it makes this novel stand out from the rest. The ghost stories were really good as well, and only got progressively better. The descriptions are extremely well made and detailed. The ghosts were malicious beyond reason, and the world itself is extremely cruel and awards selfishness, which makes it perfect for the mc. Something that was neither good nor bad is the side characters. It would be very hard for the author to create any lasting side characters, considering the cruelty of the world, and the protagonists tendency to betray companions. Personally I thought it was fine and didn't really take away from the experience. However, some characters felt a bit too robotic. Now onto the cons. The first one would be the translation quality. It wasn't bad, but it's still below average. It was quite hard to understand some parts of the novel if you aren't used to reading badly translated stories. The second one, and the biggest setback of the whole novel is how rushed it is. Near the ending it seemed like the author just wanted to get done with it. The story is really good, and it felt like it could have been at least a couple hundred chapters longer. The ending also left many plotlines and questions unanswered, which leaves much to be desired. Overall though the novel was a great experience, and it's certainly a part of the top 5 novels I've read.

I absolutely love it. Hell app is a must read for anyone looking for an awesome horror story with intense moments, human like characters and good world building in every scenario . I was not a fan of anything horror until I read this. This left me horribly spooked out but happily excited for more to come. The Mc is really unique, comical and entertaining too. ❤️

Beautiful story! The horror in the story is tantalizingly frustrating, you'll finish it before you even know it and start asking for more!! Give me more!!!! 😍

This is a very good novel, which truly does justice to the horror tag. The MC, is unique to say the least, if you do not like him then you may stop reading, but actually there is much more than he has told about himself, so give it a shot(right now, we know a thing or two). The ghosts, as in the legendary "House of Horrors" are dynamic and not boring. The side characters are given just the right amount of everything to make them unique in that scenario and not like a robot just appearing and disappearing. This requires skill and the author has it for sure. Read it carefully, word by word because only then it will be immersive, just scrolling through wont do. Deserves 5 stars.
