    Genuinely love this story it builds the world and scifi well if only a bit short on description the characters mesh well and if you read it with more of a exploration or slice of life story it's really enjoyable

    You know. . . this novel reminds me of the book "Ender's Game". The basic setup of the military academy and constant tests of how competent the cadets are really seems similar. Not to mention a big war that's been going on for ages is a thing in both.

    I like the concept but the execution was a bit stale for me. I mean 60chapters for vacation and a few fillers thats a bit too much. Another thing would be that they are clearly just 12-13y/o. thats just too young. but its still a nice read.

      I like the way the did the vacation thing. Sure I read it quick cause I wanted to get back to the action but I think it adds to the characters

      The author did mention there would be one romantic partner a little later on in the story, with Moonie just being a casual fling. If it isn't Nico, there will be blood

        Agreed. They are both career military types. Both ammo-sexual to some degree, both more logical then emotional. Though both can also be understatedly affectionate/romantic. These are all treats that make long term relationships difficult be it because of long times apart, or having a intense intrests in things like weapons and fire power and machine spects that your SO diesnt share or understand, or not meeting the partners emotional needs because your emotional needs can be much easier to meet and so you find it difficult to go over the top just to meet your SO's minimum emotional needs especiallywhen in your eyes you have done a lot because you have show affection and romance in all the time but it is in your own understated way which is not noticed by your SO, The exception to the is with others of there kind. Because they too have the same work, interests, same level of emotional needs and catch and are satisfied with the understated affectionate/romance.

      It could go either way (she has that kind of sense of humor so she could be joking. But she also has that kind of personality that she could be serious and there has been firshadowing including the scene Max was talking about) but it is the official rasing of the plot hook by the writer (not sure if they will use it or not but it is now there to and cant be said to come out of nowhere if it is). There was one thing I did think about after that scene. She is using her abilities to work with the system to modify her body (for many reasons) to be able to procreate. And then I thought about his ability of system optimization which he can use to optimize systems in general but more specifically for his use wouldn't this mean he could use it to help optimize her body to more easily be able to procreate with him? Yet another bit leaning to them getting married at some point. Of course this is ignoring the more umm X rated connotations of his ability optimizing her body for his use can mean.

    Personally, I prefer The Mech's Touch. But guess I will give this a read over. Hopefully it isn't some carbon copy. Like a lot of novels out there that copy paste a similar genre out there.

        It is up and down really. Many novels are like that, even the top trending Magnus one is similar(I had to force myself through the military arc in that one.) Though he is more of a Mech Designer. So don't expect overly combat from him, while there are few scenes involving him; but the majority of action and such is reflected in the people that try his mechs or buy them. I don't know if that changes, I am only a little over first thousand chapters before I paused it. But if you into mech design or him making mechs with other people piloting it, it may be for you. If you looking for more action pack mech piloting on MC end, then no. Again, there have been some action scenes(but none involving him piloting a mech, as far as I can remember.) There are still mech battles with people that bought his mechs.

        Bro I completely agree with on the first point long novels that are over 1k always have issues, only 2 ik which were 1k+ chapters and were never boring, supreme magus DEFFENTLY was not one of them, I have been reading that novel for over 2 years and the amount of arcs that were boring as f or the amount of time the author wasted explaining outfits and parties is insane
