The Ant King (왕) was an immensely powerful Magic Beast born from the Ant Queen on Jeju Island where an S-Rank Gate had opened. The Ant Queen, who was monitored 24 hours a day by a Japanese satellite, showed a massive decline in its magical energy. It was later learned that this was due to the Ant Queen birthing her strongest child, the Ant King, for the sole purpose of beating strong Hunters. The King was one of the few magic beasts capable of communicating with Sung Jin-Woo similar to Baruka of the Red Gate and Kargalgan. Through his ability, Gluttony, the Ant King was able to learn human languages including Korean after devouring powerful S-Rank hunters. It is one of the most powerful magic beasts introduced within the series, with no hunters present during the Jeju Island Raid being able to fight against it, excluding Sung Jin-Woo. The Ant King is the primary antagonist of the Jeju Island Arc. To view the entire article, click Ant King.

I would actually stick this in a special place in my heart. Something I would like to call “Good Quality Trash”…. And that’s cause there is too much of it. That’s the amazing thing about most Korean written novels - Too many of them are good in their specific category that it’s hard to say if one is worse than the other. Luckily a lot of these KRWN end up as manhwa so we can judge em further. And another thing to mention - some of these KRWN end up as P**nhwa. Official stuff and not spin-offs Let us not stray further from the Dao Bless to your future paths fellow cultivator
IMHO, the stories not the best. Its decent but there's many novels out there with better plot, world building, and character development. HOWEVER (before i have guys breaking down my door), the one thing this novel does extremely well, is Hype Generation. Like it is basically the same thing over and over again (later on) with bro coming in at the last moment to kick *ss. But I still get hyped for it every single time. Solid 8.5/10
drip woo coming thru 😎
(2/2) I also like how even though his summons have no feeling (idk how to describe it) he still seems to have a warm relationship with them. Even the more powerful ones. The novel also sprinkles in small doses of comedic relief, if you can consider it that, and its not petal to the metal every single word. There are some moments of rest. One thing that I can say without a doubt is that I think Cha Hae-In was unnecessary. I don’t remember all of her moments in the story but the adding the underlying tones of potential love interest were not needed. I faintly remember but I feel like when I was reading it I was asking, “What is the point of this?” I wont say anymore as to not spoil. If I havent already. Writing this no bad things are coming to mind so please reply with your opinions. I want to hear other people’s views on the story.
(TO NEW READERS) One of the greatest stories I have ever had the pleasure of reading. It is not perfect, but is there really anything that is? (These statements are my personal opinion. Its ok to not agree). It has been a bit since I’ve read this so please forgive me if some of my statements are off. I feel like there are many good things that make this one of the best weak->strong stories currently written. The story flows amazingly and for the most part the plot never become stale or too overwhelming. He also does not become so strong that nothing is a challenge. He faces challenge all the way to the very end. The story does not become too focused on him beating something, getting stronger, beating something, etc. The story balances it out with other events with development of other characters, his relationship with others, and shows lots of world development too. You see how his actions as well as others genuinely affect the world, and he doesn't just do whatever he wants. (1/2)
