I Am In Marvel
Chapter 29: A Girl and Killing (1)

In a large German base.

The three-meter high wall with a net of barbed wire enclosed the large base like a bucket and kept it secure. There was only one entrance without any wire protecting the space, and there were many forts which were well guarded by 30 well-equipped German soldiers.

In the late hours of the night, many entrance guards yawned slightly. Just then, a German military vehicle approached the main entrance from a distance, it’s engine rumbling softly.

“Stop right there!”

Despite the fact that the car was one of their own, the guard signaled the vehicle to stop at the gate.

“What’s the situation?” The bearded Captain of the guards, followed by a group of armed soldiers approached the vehicle for the inquiry.

The window rolled down swiftly and the driver, wearing a flat leather hat, handed over his ID card through the window and responded wearily in German: “Well, Military supplies.”

“Okay. Customary Inspection.” The Captain waved his hand, and three to four soldiers stepped forward to inspect the supplies loaded in the back of the car.

Less than half a minute later, the soldiers returned to the Captain in a flustered manner, leaned in close and whispered a few words in his ear.

Kyle, who was disguised as the driver, felt the Captains’ eyes on him and subconsciously lowered the brim of his hat, hiding more than half of his face.

Was he exposed?

Although Kyle had a poker face, his body was extremely tense. If the German guard sensed his identity, he would immediately escape with the help of his skill cards.

The Captain signaled his men to retreat and moved towards the window of the vehicle.

While Kyle was on guard, the Captain suddenly smiled and took out a packet of cigarettes from his trouser’s pocket and handed it to him. “It’s quite hard on you, isn’t it? To help the officer run tasks this late at night.”

“Thank you. That’s what I’m supposed to do.” Kyle accepted the cigarette and responded cooly,

“All right. Let him in!” The Captain shouted, and the blocked entry was suddenly cleared up. Kyle didn’t slack off either. He stepped hard on the accelerator, and the vehicle roared into the base.

Large bases are not simple like the temporary campsites, especially the German bases, renowned for their strict laws, with two parallel lanes of various wooden or tent camps.

Even inside the base, lights were lit at regular intervals, and patrol teams consisting of German soldiers wandered about.

Kyle sized up the patrol teams’ distribution under the dim light as he drove the car deep into the base where the rest of the vehicles were parked.

The parking area was quiet and empty, and Kyle took the opportunity to stop the car.

He did not hurry and turn on Stealth mode and instead went straight to the back of the car.

“Just now, I was careless and forgot to find out what the car is transporting. Even though I’m just a ‘driver,’ it even got the Captain to flatter me by giving a shabby gift.” Kyle thought to himself as he gripped the Nepalese army knife tightly in his right hand and pulled up the door to the back of the car with his left.

Squeak––

The metal door in the back of the car opened, and at the same time, a faint whimper echoed through the area.

“What is this?” Kyle frowned and leaped into the storage compartment. When his vision cleared up, he realized that the so-called military supplies was actually a girl.

Yes. It was a white girl who looked only around sixteen years old. Even though it was dark and her bright blonde curls were soaked with sweat, it could hardly undermine her delicate and charming face.

The only cloth on her body was a thin white dress, showing hints of her immature yet pretty figure. Her whole body was bound by military rope, and her mouth was taped shut as she was placed inside a large wooden box.
