I Am In Marvel
Chapter 39: End of Campaign (1)

At the end of the raid, due to the massive blood loss and the exhausting battle he went through, Kyle passed out.

Sergeant Fury asked some soldiers to take Kyle and the rescued girl back to the makeshift camp while he continued the raid with the rest of the soldiers.

Because of the explosions triggered by Kyle, not only the defense mechanism, even the entire base was destroyed.

Hundreds of the German Soldiers just wanted to rescue the wounded soldiers after surviving the explosions after losing their commander. However, a well-equipped U.S military force intervened and immediately crushed them.

The battle dragged on until 5 A.M the next day. When the sky turned a bright blue, Sergeant Fury took his troops to ‘clean up’ the base. Even in such a one-sided battle, twenty-seven soldiers were wounded,

However, the end result was astonishing. Combined with Kyle’s personal record, their forces wiped out a total of 1200 German soldiers and completely took over their largest base.

This was the first time that the U.S military had won such a magnificent battle record!

Of course, none of this was known to Kyle, who was in a coma for a whole week.

By the time he woke up, it was the morning of the eighth day.

Kyle opened his eyes and found himself lying on a large hospital bed. His left shoulder was bandaged to his waist. His wrist was connected to a transfusion tube. Probes from various devices were attached to his chest.

It was just a gun wound. Wasn’t this a bit exaggerated?!

Kyle laughed bitterly as he realized the amount of time he’d spent in a coma. After all, during that period, his mind was trapped in the card space.

But now that his body had recovered, he felt very energetic!

After pulling off the tubes and wires connected to him, Kyle clutched the wound on his left shoulder in pain as his back leaned against the headboard of the bed.

The tables on both sides of the bed were filled with bouquets and fruit baskets. The breeze flowing through the gauze curtains along with the bright blue skies and the lush green forest painted a serene scene.

“Where was I taken to?” Kyle was perplexed. This place was clearly not on the frontline.

But it didn’t matter where he was as long as he was in good health.

Feeling a bit hungry, Kyle picked up an apple from the table and bit into it, satisfying his grumbling stomach.

When Kyle picked up the third apple, the door of the ward opened suddenly. As he bit into the apple, he looked up subconsciously.

Looking at his visitor, he couldn’t help but be surprised.

In front of Kyle was an angel with a delicate face. She had big, bright eyes, pink lips, and slightly blonde hair that fell on her shoulders.

The girl was dressed in a sky blue knee-length skirt. Her immature figure gave way to graceful curves while her long pale arms were exposed.

This was the second top beauty Kyle had ever seen after his rebirth. The first was Peggy Carter, but she was more of a mature and cold beauty while the girl in front of him had a lovely charm.

When she saw Kyle awake and biting the apple, she was stunned for a moment and then suddenly jumped to the door like an excited rabbit, “Doctor, doctor! Kyle, he’s awake!”
