I Became The Necromancer Of The Academy
Chapter 0: The Day The Suppressor Was Broken

Thump, thump.

The sound of footsteps constantly echoed in the hallway. Despite the fact that it was my last day at the academy, I didn’t feel dejected.

Simply put, that’s what happened to me.

It felt like watching someone else’s work from afar. One might say that I was escaping from reality, but that was what I truly felt with utmost sincerity.

At the end of the long hallway, near the entrance, was a woman waiting for me with her arms crossed.

Her neat and long blonde hair, tied up in a ponytail, resting over her shoulders and came down to her chest level.

The warm sunlight shining down on her seemed only to highlight her beauty.

“Erica Bright.”

I spat out her name. Erica, with her arms still crossed, put on a twisted smile, as if to ridicule me, on her lips.

“How does it feel?”

“Hmmm?”

What answer should I give to satisfy her? I was a bit troubled, but Erica spoke again, tapping her fingers on her arms.

“How does it feel to be dismissed from the academy? That, too, because of your fiancée.”

“Yeah, about that.”

I’m sorry.

It would be difficult to describe it clearly, as my emotions were worn out.

“I feel at ease.”

I smiled slightly and replied.

Crackle!!!

Erica, twitching her lips, gnashed her teeth with hot breath.

“Do you even know how to laugh?”

“…….”

“From now on, try to smile a little. Perhaps you wouldn’t have been betrayed by a woman like me.”

Erica walked past me, with her arms undone and her fists clenched. The fresh orange scent grazed my nose.

“Get out of my way. Please don’t ever come back into my life.”

I nodded at Erica as she walked away, turning her back on me.

“I’ll try.”

Thump thump

Again, with the usual sound of footsteps, I departed from the academy.

Perhaps it was because it was still vacation time, the academy was quite tranquil.

Turning around slowly, I stared blankly at the academy.

Dozens, hundreds of evil spirits were roaming around the massive academy.

They were all giggling and laughing as they started waving at me in unison.

[I should have eaten your eyes! I should have used your coveted black eyes to replace mine!]

[Someday, I will tear off your limbs and drink your blood like wine!]

[It’s freedom! Freedom! Freedom, I sayyyyyYYYY!]

[Kihehehe!]

[I will use my six hands to dig out your intestines, put them in my nine mouths, and then eat them with my one hundred and eighty teeth!]

[This place will now become a dwelling place for ghosts, a place of solace for the dead!]

“Such a miserable place.”

Loberne Academy, the stage of the game [Retry]. The place where the game’s protagonist, other supporting characters, and side cast gathered to fight.

Unfortunately, there were too many ghosts in Loberne; the reason for this was simple.

It was built over the cemetery where the deceased without a name were buried.

From what I heard, the building was symbolic as in it served as both a stepping stone and a foundation for the future rather than being bound by the past.

Tskkk.

The game’s main story hadn’t even begun.

My tongue got numb as I recalled about my struggles to put a stop to those evil spirits.

“It is done.”

Hearing the evil spirits’ curses, I turned away.

“With every decision, comes responsibility.”

As soon as I stepped outside the main gate of the academy, the screams and laughter of the evil spirits behind me filled my ears.

As someone who possessed the memories of my previous life, I knew how to properly express this situation.

The suppressor of the evil spirits was broken.
