There’s danger for every trophy

I could finally sit for a moment and rest my back to a wall.

In front of me, there are monsters who are killed by my poison while they’re unable to move due to paralysis.

[How many nests do these monsters have?]

The paralyzed monsters around me formed an ill-shaped semicircle.

The next “trophy” will arrive after they had moved away the paralyzed monsters.

The acid are spitting out of the hole in their body.

The hate-filled stare of the monsters pierce through me

Anger.

Hate.

Murderous intent.

I’ll kill you immediately as soon as I can move my body.

That seems to be what they’re trying to voice out if they weren’t so much as paralyzed.

[Hey, kill me.]

I returned back a glare of my own.

[I’ll kill you before you can, though.]

The surface of its skin is burning.

I wonder why.

I have this strange sense of relief from all these murderous intent I’ve been getting.

It’s not like these murderous intent could kill me– my poison could still kill them though.

But it’s not like I’m always glaring at them.

I must keep an eye out for the remaining amount in the gauge.

There are many things I have to make sure to observe.

If I keep on observing, I may discover something new.

[………..]

Is the poison damage constant?

Or is the damage leaning towards a set of measurement?

They’re still paralyzed now.

They might be released from paralysis before they die from poison.

When the paralysis expires, it’s necessary that I apply <Sleep> to them.

It’s too early for me to relax.

It’s still not a good time for me to be negligent.

[Speaking of which…]

Is it possible to cast sleep on them while they’re paralyzed?

Should I check it now while I’m at it?

[Well, before I do that—]

I should probably check my MP.

[Status Open.]

<Touka Mimori>

Lv 258

HP: +774

MP: +8194/8514

Attack: +774

Defense: +774

Physical strength: +774

Speed: +774

Wisdom: +774

<Title: E-Rank Hero>

Considering the original numbers, I’ve gained quite a dramatic increase in status.

3 x 258 = 774

I understand.

Is it growing by multiplication?

Due to its high initial value, only my MP have grown strangely high.

Though this is much appreciated.

My MP is the lifeline I’m now hanging unto.

It’s the fuel for my personal skills.

Mimori Touka is done for when this is completely exhausted.

By the way, my MP seems to have completely recovered after leveling-up.

[And the other correction values are… wait, what the heck?]

I’m sure Oyamada is Lv 1 and has a Physical strength +500.

I guess it’s not much of a correction, after all.

It can be said that this is apparently the correction value of an E-Rank.

Oh well…

I was able to get some fatigue thanks to leveling up.

I can slightly feel that my stamina has returned.

[Buru, go, ~ahh…]

<Your level has increased.>

One of the minotaurs have finally died.

<Lv 258 → Lv 277>

After a few moments,

<Your level has increased.>

One after another, the minotaur dies.

<Lv 277 → Lv 321>

The time flew very fast.

However, except for the first one, no other bird heads have died yet.

It seems these bird heads have a pretty high HP.

[Ko, po, ko, koee—-…]

[Oh?]

<Your level has increased>

One of the remaining bird heads finally died.

<Lv 321 → Lv 395>

[The bird head give a better amount experience, huh.]

Unfortunately, there is no display in the status of how much experience I gained.

I won’t know the value of the so-called “experience required until next level”.

For a person like me who had experience with stamina-base social games, this is just…

I feel kinda bad for that little amount of MP I had left before leveling up.

If I were going to fully recover my MP by leveling up, I feel like I should have used my MP before I level up.

It may be just my tendency to be frugal.

[Now then…]

Status Open.

Let me check how much MP I have.

MP: +13035/13035

It’s completely recovered.

It seems that it have recovered completely at that time I leveled up.

The consumption of my personal skill per cast are 10 MP.

So, I can still use my personal skill 1303 times.

There are many monsters that are still living.

With the experience they give, my level should still rise.

[In short–]

If I can continue doing this and stack them up,

[Maybe I can even work on increasing my skill experience.]

v

I glance at one of them and locked on.

I held my hand towards one of the bird heads.

[<Sleep>]

It didn’t fall.

It probably didn’t fall because it’s currently paralyzed in it place.

[But…]

I closed my eyes.

It’s a success.

That means…

[It’s possible.]

Overlapping of paralysis and sleep.

Now, there are two gauges that are displayed.

Yellow and blue.

Paralysis and sleep.

I no longer need to put on <Sleep> after the <Paralyze> gauge is completely depleted.

The monster can’t act even for just a moment.

This means that taking a risk can be perfectly avoided.

The effect of the poison is also continuing.

I’ve completed the perfect combo.

This also makes it that I can continue using my skills.

I still have enough room to cast with more than enough MP remaining.

And then they’d turn into my experience.

My level will then rise instantly.

[Alright…]

This only means…

[<Sleep>! <Sleep>, <Sleep>, <Sleep>, <Sleep>, <Sleep>–]

One after another, they repeatedly piled up.

[ <Sleep>, <Sleep>–]

<Skill level has increased>

<Lv 1 → Lv 2>

Okay.

It went up.

<Sleep> is now level 2.

[Bu, ri, ~o—-]

[Pa ri, pi, ~o—]

The monsters that have been poisoned continuously died.

<Your level has increased>

<Lv 395 → Lv 507>

[For the time being, I should probably overlay <Sleep> as much as I can.]

Considering numerically, a considerable amount of MP had been wasted.

But it’s not like I can help it.

Well, it’s not like it’s a bad thing to have an excess amount of the remaining capacity.

If it was like before, my MP would have almost depleted and I’m close to dying.

The difference between now and then is like heaven and earth. A really big difference.

And so,

[My MP have completely recovered yet again–]

I glared at the monsters surrounding me.

[Hmm?]

[Gu, ru— bu, ~uuuu….]

What?

[The minotaurs that have gathered are going back..?]

Doshin ~tsu, doshin~tsu, doshin ~tsu…

They turned back and left.

The minotaur’s reinforcements, I mean.

[Did they give up?]

-on killing me?

[Pa paru n— pa pi, ko kko kko kko…]

Suddenly, one of the bird head’s began to fall into panic. It opened it’s beak and–

[Pu chi, ko ro… ko ro ko ro, kko… ko!]

The bird head begins to go around in circles.

[Ko, ko ~e ~oeeeeee!]

The bird heads turned their back together.

The whole flock have started to run away.

While flapping its four arms like it wants to fly away.

[Ko ~oeeee!]

They ran away.

It seems they understood that they’d just die without meaning like their friends.

Though somehow, I suddenly can’t move.

With that thing turning into purple, bubbles also float around it.

After a while, it finally breathed out its last.

The cause of them running away must be this one.

It’s too risky to fight this one.

Well, isn’t it just my imagination?

After all, isn’t that always have been the case?

Although they are monsters of this disposal ruins, they are still living creatures.

It seems they still value their life as important.

I turned to the fleeing monsters.

[So, what do I do with them?]

I ask myself.

[Should I chase them and kill them?]

No…

Let’s stop for now.

It’s not that I finally find myself being benevolent.

My goal is to go above ground.

My level have successfully leveled up.

I have other thing to do than doing that.

Like exploring this ruins.

I will explore this disposal ruins.

And find my way back above ground.

I slowly stand up.

I turned to where the minotaurs had fled.

A place that couldn’t be explored without being careful.

I step forward.

[For now, should I go back first?]

The first place where the disposed heroes arrive.

There may be something that can still be used.
