Academy’s Undercover Professor

This novel doesn’t really have a female lead (at least as of ch450). Romance is very minimal, mostly limited to side character interactions. My biggest complaint with this work is how most important characters the lead interacts with are (single) women. It feels a bit unrealistic. However, all of them have interesting, distinct personalities and get character development throughout the novel. Their interest mostly ends at admiration and even the exceptions are very tame (blushing, feeling a bit jealous etc.). There’s no weird seduction/ecchi scenes in this. No one with a crush on him is under 18 and the more ‘valid’ choices for a final ship (if that exists) are mid-20s or older. (MC is 27) You could say (almost) every important female character has potential to become the female lead, that’s probably where the tag comes from. I wouldn’t call it a harem since the protagonist is very much a ‘I have enough problems already’ kind of guy and shows zero interest in romance. Hope this helps

I don’t know most of them but if it’s removal requests, does that mean all of these novels got licensed for an official translation? Otherwise, why would they take it down, growing an English fan base through any type of translation only helps the franchise/novel. Or what am I not seeing? I will definitely keep reading the Korean version but I’d hate if this series didn’t gain more popularity because there’s no translation.

I don't remember how the early chapters differed from the newer ones, but I've never found it difficult to understand who's talking or what they mean. The chapters about magic theories or the ones explaining people's motivations seemed to make sense. Sometimes a name is spelled differently or a pronoun is wrong (e.g."I told me" instead of "I told you") but it doesn't make the sentence illegible. I'm also reading a machine translation of this series and this is much better. Reading a few chapters of a new novel usually helps me get into an author's writing style or a translation style and I tend to understand sentences easier (like how you 'learn' to decipher machine translations when you're desperate). If you've already done that for this novel and still find something about the writing/translation bothersome, it could just be not for you. I've certainly been there before.

I was concerned about that too, so far (270ch) no female lead. I’d say it’s “no romance but one-sided interest from several characters”. Most female characters just admire him and the ones that show romantic interest are very tame too. The most they do is feel jealous sometimes or blush, so there’s nothing creepy like young characters trying to seduce him or something. The students are all 18+ but the more ‘valid’ options for a final ship are all mid-20s or older. I like novels with no romance, so I like it this way. There are a few pairings of side characters that are cute to watch but overal the romance is very minimal. Hope that helps.
