"In this world, morality is but a thin line away from depravity, and the most captivating tales are often shrouded behind the veil of insanity."

I was just an ordinary guy, living a dull and unremarkable life as an editor.
But when a maniac author killed me for rejecting his novel in a writing competition, I reopened my eyes in a modern fantasy world.
"Hmm? Wait, this world…."
But fate, being a prude little bitch, played a twisted joke on me.
I reincarnated into the very same novel that I rejected for the competition award, written by the very same author who killed me for it.
Not only that, but I transmigrated into the body of a disowned noble named Lucas Morningstar.
Lucas was a minor antagonist in a novel who served as a stepping stone for the protagonist and their allies.
Arghh….
Of all the people, I just had to be reborn as someone who was despised by the main characters the most at this point in the story?
B-But hey, with my knowledge of the future and understanding of the main characters, I can at least live an easy life!
Right...?
"Yeah, I can work with this!"
Or so I thought until I remembered the ending arcs of the book.
This world is destined for doom!
And not so long after, I started to realize that the novel and the world I transmigrated into might not be as similar as I had originally thought….

AN: MC is NOT a villain, so don't expect one.
*The MC will seem a little bit (ok let's be honest, more than a little bit) foolish in the first 30-35 chaps but don't be fooled. I ask you to read till first 50 chaps before deciding to trash-talk the MC because that's where his borderline psychopathic strategist personality starts to surface.

New cover making me act up
F*ck*ng trash. Reading this novel was a waste of time. I know the author says to read at least 50 chapters before judging the MC, but why the f*ck would anyone with a brain wait that long? Especially when this novel is so bottom tier. From the uninteresting and overused plot, and stupid MC, this is straight garbage. I've only read 15 chapters, but it was impossible for me to continue. If it were only the cliche plot but an interesting MC, I could manage. Even a slightly dumb but likeable MC is fine. But it's annoying as f*ck to read the inner monologues of a narcissistic coward, and to make matters worse he's lazy. Dude had two whole weeks before he starts at the Academy, and what does he do? Aside from getting a powerful artifact in the beginning due to plot knowledge, he just sits on his *ss. FOR TWO WEEKS!!! No training, no preparation, nothing at all?
Finally they updated cover.
The most inconsistent author whose work I've read. It's not terrible but I don't think the author goes back to check what he wrote. Writing is also pretty amateur. Some of the plot doesn't even make sense, to be honest, like the guy whose pet fused with his shadow and then followed him to the VR world, like what? The author covers a weak plot with conveniences which I don't like. It's an okay read but if you are looking for work with a better plot this ain't it. (And I read 100+ chapters before you ask)

I am right now in chapter 78, and as the story continues it made me wandering. Normally when good writers write a story, they try to make the reader to identify itself with the MC, you read his thoughts and emotions, and you can imagine you'll do the same in that position. But in this story, excuse me all, but the MC is a narcissistic psycho b*tch, who manipulates the person around him and laughs about it. There are few times that his tong "splits" and he tells us that he want all of them as pawns. It's a "joke", but after several times you realize he actually mean it. How people can identify with it? Does that make us all psychos?
It has been one week. How long must we suffer?
it's been one week since the last chapter, I'm starting to see the withdrawals. I had ripped out pieces of my hair from the stress, my nails are so short and cut up from the constant nibbling. I've been irritable, anything sets me off and I get incredibly violent. the air I breathe feels like needles poking into me without the next chapter.
This novel is pretty enjoyable to read overall. The beginning might make people cringe at the mc’s inner dialogue and might look way to similar to “The author’s pov” but as the story progresses it gets better and there is less of the cringe dialogue. The story branches put from “The author’s pov” while still taking some noticeable inspirations from it. Overall this novel can be a little cringe at times but if you want to read another novel similar to “The author’s pov” then try this one out.
the MC is rubbish as far as I read (chapter 26) and the dialogues are also sh*t and the sense of humor didn't work and you can even let the sense of humor go, after all it's a matter of taste but the rest is sh*t It tests your patience, I'm only reading because I was told that it gets better after chapter 30 or 50, I don't know, anyway, know that this will test your patience at the beginning
