Kingdom’s Bloodline

This is my honest review after reading 597 Chapters. I've read both RI and LoTM before coming to this novel (using them because nowadays people have set their standards according to these 2 novels) and I kid you not, you gotta try this novel. This isn't your average Kingdom building novel, this isn't about your average prince collecting there harem and no this world does not have subordinates that blindly follows what ever the King/Emperor says. These side characters have their own well defined thoughts, their own expectations and their own ambitions. This novel got real POLITCS, SCHEMES that I (who had read more than a couple dozen novel) still failed to predict. Novel pacing is slow at the start. Lot of world building. Lots of history. Lots of info dump. MC doesn't have that protagonist halo. No abnormal luck, not OP and also don't except a MC which is too smart. But don't be disappointed yet. He is no an *d**t. The challenges he faces, the suffering he has gone through (there were times I wish I could choke the author and say "AREN'T YOU DONE!? HAVEN'T HE SUFFERED ENOUGH???"), betrayals and people expectations on him being the Prince will only make him stronger and more cautious. The air of mystery around the this world's history, the people and even the gods and demons. Religion and politics play are huge role in this world. Just give it a try. All I can say is this novel is very different.

Ive read all of the big five (lotm (1 & 2), ss, ri, tbate & orv) and other amazing works like MoL, RegressorsTale, SGWM, Perfect Run, etc and i can definitely say that, in my PERSONAL ranking, this is at least the top 2, i havent read the top 1 in a while, so i cant confirm if this is surely the top 1/ For those who are afraid of the tags, dont really care about it, i can confirm that this isnt like it seems/ For those who doesnt like politics or the pace style that the others describe in the comments, i recommend you to read even knowing that, at first, i dont like politics and very slow pace, but this novel make this in a amazing way, to the point that it becomes one of my favorite parts of this novel, beside world history, power system and characters/ For those who are afraid of the “shotacon“ and “masochism“, people say shotacon just because the mc is pretty smart, so while he starts as a child, he go against older enemies in intelligence battle, and the masochism, is because he go against older enemies, that are really smart, clever and manipulative, so everything that he does, he needs to go against fierce enemies, and he has a very bad luck, just like the Fated way of sunny, but this make every “victory“ really satisfactory/ My recommandation is to not read this just to pass the time, every dialogue and event is important in some sort of way, so u need to remember it, and if you really are interested in this novel and want to engage in it, i recommend to read till the 150-170 chapter, that is the point that the novel really show its true self, and its that point that i get COMPLETELY hooked, this novel have the great arcs style, that every past arc is just a building to the greater one/ (not saying that the building arc are boring, they are great, but just like the lotm way of the first and mid part of the volume being just the foundation to the grand finale, this novel is the pretty similar)/ (and, for the chapters before 150-170, its not that they are bad, but this is a constructive story, that one of its main point are the politics, character development and relationships, so there is a need of building the background of all of that to really join on the amazing and complex world that this novel have)/ To the last thing, i can say that Thales enter in my top 4 favorite mcs, alongside Sunny, Klein and Fang Yuan, (not in order). I like so much the development of every character in this novel, but Thales development is probably the best that ive ever read in MY opinion, his background make every new experiencie part of his foundation, building a complex and amazing character/ this is all my personal opinion of the novel after 600 chapters

It is a great novel with excellent world building. MC and side charactors, each of them has great depth and you will find them lovable . This nove is slow pace so you should be patieng a little bit.

one of the best books i have read, i never thought i would enjoy this novel so much when i started reading but this got me hooked, this has excellent world building and character development, even side characters are well written, and the ridiculousamount of plot twists keeps one on the edge.

Very slow paced but just keeps getting better and keeps you hooked, the characters arn't just side peices but every single character is unique and has a story, Its up there with one of the best novels I've read soo far.

This is literally one of the best novels ever written. The politics of the plot are intricate and mind-blowing. The characters are all epic visionaries that are extremely compelling. The magic system is also done well, there is an appropriate level of mystery and profundity. Powers are not gained from grinding mana repetitively or refining pills/treasures(eww) but are gained through impactful journeys of self-discovery. For some reason, almost no one mentions this novel. you will be hooked within 20 chapters, no need to wait 100 chap like others. In my opinion, the novel is on par with Lord of Mysteries and Reverend insanity, also CCG, it starts a bit slow like LOM, but it keeps getting better and it's on a serious side with no cliches, kingdom building and other mysteries. The MC grows from a young slave kid to a young teen prince as he explores the world with the readers and tries to not get killed by various powers surrounding him, both natural and supernatural. NO CLICHES - YOU ALL READ CORRECT OK. Probably everyone here has heard of Lord of Mysteries. Maybe some people have heard of Joy of Life. Basically, it is the hybrid of the 2. In many ways it is very similar to LOTM. Key differences are that Kingdom's Bloodline takes place in the Middle Ages type setting, is slower, but has much more developed mysteries and scheming aspect. Seriously, some schemes there could easily put schemes in such novels as Reverend Insanity to shame. JUST READ 15 CHAPTER AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND ME.

I didn't expect much from it before reading but wow this is a masterpiece second only to lotm I highly recommend it for anyone who is tired of the repiptave and usual story telling of other novels. . The only downside is too much yapping but you will get used to it

epic. you know the novel is going to be a masterpiece when author is inspired by asoif. Pacing is perfect, and this is the first time i haven't been bothered by mc being a child. it does not feel cringe like other novels, trust me. translation work is phenomenal, prose goes so hard sometimes, side chars are super interesting. i consider this in my top 5 webnovels, just having read 70 chapters
