It’s just like any other Chinese martial arts novel. It’s not bad and it might get a little repetitive however the author narrates it in very good way to avoid most of it. I’d say give it a try before deciding to not read it because of the reviews, everyone has their own taste.

The story is about a boy who can't store spiritual energy in his body because of a bead which absorb the energy. After his girl friend betray him, the bead disapear and he can cultivate faster. An assassin organisation wants to kill him, because he awakened a special power. Why I give 2 star, because there r weak written plots in the story. For example in chapter 45 or so MC tells to his friend that he must be low profile, because the spies may fiend him. In next chapter he kills 12 persons, and make huge uproar. There several such plots. If u r new to Cultivation novels, this may be fun. But if u read several of them, don't start this.

This story is deeply unsatisfying. I don't mind the cultivation tropes (hell, they're part of the fun), but the author inadvertently makes a lot of things and people that are supposed to be important seem completely trivial. They completely ignore the principle of Chekov's gun; the MC repeatedly quests for dozens or hundreds of chapters to find some vital item which ends up never being used or mentioned again. What was the whole point of their epic and dangerous quest then? Many characters also end up being completely forgotten about. After desperately seeking to rescue his mother, an overarching story that took hundreds and hundreds of chapters, the MC basically just f*cks off immediately and hardly interacts with her at all. Longstanding characters who are built up to be incredibly talented and powerful end up getting killed off in really dumb and stupid ways, frequently offscreen. There are also various plot holes, and things that end up being retroactively justified, even though at the time they made no sense. It just seems incredibly lazy, and like the author doesn't really care anything about the story they're writing.

For a short review, this novel is about good enough as to where reading it could keep you not bored for a while. However, like some of the other cultivation novels, there is always a world beyond a world, a realm beyond a realm, and truthfully - after reading 3875 of these chapters and watching the MC grow to the point he is at, I feel like it's time for me to stop reading. The MC has had a goal for the past few thousand chapters that he just managed to complete a few chapters ago and after the initial happiness I felt it was so incredibly anticlimactic as the author completed glossed over it without many details at all and moved straight onto the next arc with a timeskip. If you want to read this then by all means go for it, just don't have unrealistic expectations of a masterpiece. If i could rate this novel more accurately I would call it a 3. 4-3. 5, but I have rounded it up to a 4 because of how long I spent reading it.

Only thing I can say about this novel is that it is an interesting novel. It is a little different from the other martial arts novel. If you like martial arts novels then you will love this novel. The only downside to this novel is it will take you a lot of time to catch up. Still, you should give it a try.

nice and interesting book, am totally hooked by it. Since I started reading, I haven't stopped. This book has no harem nor Mc caught in a love romance although after many chapters he gets a wife that suits him although author did well to keep his focus on growth than senseless romance.

At chapter 860 right now I really love it so far there is no romance up to this point and I love it that way but it seems like it will start to change in the future. World building is interesting he do have a hax but its nothing like a system or anything. It is pretty normal compared to other novels. Main character is really good to he is not some horny bastard and he is not a pussy he will kill others if needed so (spoiler there are lots of retarded characters in this novel) he is devoted to the way of sword, hardworking, talented and has the will power to continue even in the worst case scenarios. Like this fucker will fight someone 100 times stronger than himself instead of running because he can use that moment to push himself to the limit to breakthrough (and he fucking does) he has absolute confidence in his talent and strenght he is aloof and doesnt fall for provocations (when someone talks shit to his face about how weak he is compared to them(( actually he can kill him by slapping)) he waks away smiling) but he is not someone spineless too he can murder a clan or a sect in a moment if needed so. Also this fucker doesnt stop training like for real in every chapter he is working on some sword technique or skill he is so fucking hard working. honestly there are so many things about him that I am too lazy to talk about so I will pass on it lol he is good mc. SO just read the book most chinese novel fans will like it I guarantee. btw it starts kinda slow give it sometime

If you like a OP MC, this is a pretty good LN to read. The world building, characters and plots are better than many of the cultivation LN out there.
