I really like this novel a lot. It's a good read, it's very entertaining. There are some revenge plot but I'm glad it doesn't take up a bulk of the story. The author is also very detailed with food and it's very well written. If you read this twice like me, you'll notice some inconsistency with the story but it's just small details that really doesn't take away the quality of the story.
And I do like some side characters but I wish their story were expanded too like Shen Xue and Xulan, Feiyan and Ye Yingjie and Li Yuren's story needs to be told.
