Big Villain Teaching the Little Villain a Lesson (1)

The doctor was also perplexed after examining Jiang Xing.

Previously, his vital signs were already dim, he was barely hanging on with a single breath. The doctor already told his family member several times to mentally prepare, but he did not expect that his condition would turn around and get better.

After thinking about it, he could only find one explanation. It was the amazing vitality of young people. It really was too shocking. Even now, the doctor still felt like he was in a dream.

“Your son is alright now. After resting a few more days, he can be discharged if there are no complications. Don’t do intense exercises during this period to prevent the wound from reopening.”

Jiang Xiumei’s taut string finally loosened, and she nodded her head again and again.

After the doctor left, Jiang Xiumei couldn’t help wiping her tears and said, “I won’t let you mess around with your friends in the future! Just look how much you scare people! Luckily the Heavens protect you, otherwise it would be hard to even save your little life!”

Jiang Xing grumbled in a low voice. “Mom, you misunderstood this time. I wasn’t causing trouble, nor was I with..”

“Not causing trouble? Not causing trouble?” Jiang Xiumei was so angry that she wanted to beat him, but because he was a patient, her hand didn’t actually come down. “When you recover, come home with me. Xiaoman is still waiting for us alone at home.”

Jiang Xing did not dare to say anything and only obediently shut his mouth.

He had a 10-centimeter stitch in his stomach and a hole in his head. The doctor said that he just went through the operation and should walk and move around a bit so the wound would not stick together.

Jiang Xiumei wanted to take him around for a walk, but Jiang Xing refused. He pushed the stand with the IV drip and walked around outside the patient ward while clutching his stomach.

His vitality was really amazing.

If it weren’t for his imperfect walking posture, you wouldn’t be able to tell he was hurt from his outward appearance.

Jiang Xiumei was finally a bit relieved and could have the mind to do other things.

Thinking of Xiaoman who was alone at home, Jiang Xiumei decided to call her.

“Xiaoman, are you being good at home?”

Jiang Xiaoman was holding the phone in her small hand. Hearing her grandma’s voice, her eyes bent into crescents1. “I’m being good. I got up by myself today and washed my face and brushed my teeth. I also tied my hair into two small twintails by myself. I wanted to tie two more, but my hand couldn’t stretch long enough. The grandma next door gave me two wowotou in the morning, but I couldn’t finish them. I had a bowl of gruel and pickled vegetables2 for lunch.”

Jiang Xiaoman obediently reported her ‘itinerary’ for the day. After that, she twitched her nose and asked, “When is Uncle coming home? I miss you, Grandma.”

It had only been four or five days, but Jiang Xiaoman felt as if a very long time had passed. The system told her that this was what was called ‘a day felt like a year.’

Jiang Xiaoman didn’t understand if it felt like a year or not. All she knew was that when Grandma and Uncle weren’t back yet, she felt like crying every night when sleeping.

She didn’t want to sleep with the neighbor grandma, she could sleep by herself and wanted to sleep in the small bed that her uncle made for her. She could roll from one end to another alone.

“Grandma will come back in two days with your uncle. When the time comes, we’ll straighten him up together.”

Only then could Jiang Xiaoman smile. After hanging up the phone, she started counting the day when Grandma and Uncle would come home with her fingers.

The system said that my uncle needed to be hospitalized for a week. Now one, two, three, four, or five days have passed… Ahh, it’s too hard to count. Anyways, it was coming soon, so she just waited obediently.

She climbed onto a chair by herself and took out the iron box containing the candies from the cabinet.

Colorful candies laid inside, and after she counted them, she found that there were ten left.

Jiang Xiaoman had not touched the candies for a long time, not ever since her uncle was hospitalized.

1. I assume this refers to ^_^ eyes

2. Salty pickled vegetables, often eaten with porridge. They’re great!
