After he said that, there was a silence that went on for at least five seconds.

Such a long wait did not make Young Master Yan particularly happy. “Are you hesitating?” His question was asked in a dangerous tone laced with threat.

“No.” Chen Jinyao frowned. Without thinking, she just answered, “I agree, but before that, I have one condition.”

She recited her passcode and Yan Cheng was able to unlock her phone as he wished. Then, he quickly blocked Huo Qidong. He and Chen Jinyao shared the same sentiments. Things like these had to be settled early and properly.

Their keen instincts told them that this guy likely wasn’t knocking on their doors for anything good.

The night rain gradually stopped, and the pitter-patter of the rain stopped.

The cityscape outside shone with its unique nightly glow.

If the Er Pavilion was still in business, it might be a standout among all the colors.

Chen Jinyao struggled for a few seconds but was still defeated by reality and spoke out her conditions. “I want to shower. Help me get a change of clothes.”

Upon hearing that, Yan Cheng’s first reaction as a straight man was, ‘fuck, don’t you have hands yourself?’, which was followed by raised eyebrows. “You woke up in the middle of the night just to shower?”

“Didn’t you do it too?” Chen Jinyao snapped back.

After about three or four minutes of silence, just as Chen Jin Yao’s patience was about to run out, the man outside the door suddenly scoffed.

Sluggishly, he shouted, “Hey.” His voice was deep and husky and his lips were hooked up into a meaningful smile. Then, he said with threatening amusement in his tone, “If I didn’t take that shower you’d be stuck in bed with me instead of proudly commanding me to do things for you like you’re doing right now.”

After the New Year’s, winter will slowly subside.

At the start of spring where all manners of living beings are revitalized, all indications point to the fact that Yan Cheng had come into his spring heat early. Even though his actions showed some restraint, it wasn’t obvious. His words were completely unrestrained and free to flow, spitting out such shameful words as if it were normal.

Fortunately, after some pre-bedtime communication, Chen Jinyao lost the contentiousness she had in the beginning and would only blush. However, she would definitely snap back. The hinting in her words was clear, so much so that the blood of Yan Cheng who was standing outside began to get hot.

“So, can you get me a change of clothes?”

“Yeah.” He looked down.

The lights in the bedroom were on, illuminating the room brightly.

The drawer at the center of the wardrobe was pulled open, and in it were neatly folded lingerie in both sexy and cute designs.

They were so small that it made this man who had just extinguished his flames to spring back into action.

“…” A certain something which had just grown taut felt like it was going to explode.

Yan Cheng hardly dared to look at it. After casually picking up a pair, he rushed to the bathroom.

The door of the bathroom wasn’t locked. After a knock, he heard a weak “come in” from Chen Jinyao. This was so sudden that it caused the heart of Yan Cheng who could casually invade the bathroom to skip a beat.

But then, he snorted a muffled laugh when he crashed in. “I think I could go for another shower, with you.” It’s fine even if his skin got scratched.

Chen Jinyao lifted her head and looked dazed at the eager man.

The light wasn’t really dim and that pale face of hers made Yan Cheng jump.

The image of a scoundrel and eager man ready for a big day disappeared in an instant.

“You…” That you continued for a long time, but he never could finish what he wanted to say.

The two of them stared at each other for a while and the atmosphere turned awkward. Chen Jinyao grinned miserably. “Uh, I’m on my period.”
