Can I ask where this novel was originally written without being removed? Was it Chinese translated or written on a Webnovel site? I want to read ahead

I liked this novel a lot and I enjoyed the fact that the author slowed things a little bit. I see in the comments people complaining it's slow or why the MC doesn't create this or add this... etc. people! the MC isn't all knowing before he reincarnated, he didn't know how to create ships, guns, gunpowder. he was a civil worker. the fact that he improved his military talents is due to his experience in the beginning of the novel! conquer Italy in 10 years? why not conquer the world in 20!! he needed to improve his kingdom and digest what he conquered, increased his power and hold on his kingdom. you've seen how many rebellions he got. if he conquered the world he won't live to enjoy it. I think the author tried to slow down things to keep it a bit realistic which I quite enjoyed. compared to other novels where the MC has a photo realistic memory and who knows everything in every subject, that he can make cows poop gold. seriously. relax and enjoy the ride with the author!!

Also the MC relies on people's help an awful lot, he starts training Generals because he knows he can't command every battle. He has a lot of ideas and memories from his previous life, but mainly relies on other people to actually make them a reality, such as making a water wheel, building roads, and cement, all of which go through various experiments before being used,

Novel is basically an opposite of a typical reincarnation kingdom building. Most of times its a guy that knows how to make gunpowder, got a degree in engineering and has lots of medical knowlage. Basically mc hase knowlage that he shouldn't. Here we got exactly opposite situation. Mc should have the knowlage but somehow he doesn't.

I have no idea why author insisted on reincarnating a guy from modern times. After establishing a kingdom everything regarding technology, politics, administration stagnates. I mean we could just have a normal greek with novel ideas or a roman that saw fall of rome and went back in time and the story would not change. The only thing that our idiotic mc brought back from modern times are cuisine and medicine xD thats a great idea, hotpot will surely save lives and kill his enemies during many wars of 300bc We are also suppose to believe mc is good at history and started climbing social ladder in china before reincarnation. And by chapter 800 mc appears every 8-10 chapters xD Imo author killed novels theme after first 3 year timeskip. That was perfect moment for every innovation mc could imagine, ranging from military to administration. Everything we got was that he stabilized 4 cities and rebuild capital city xD nothing else xD

AND HE COULD HAVE CAPTURED THE WHOLE OF ITALY WITHIN 10 YEARS AND DOMINATED THE ENTIRE MEDITERRANEAN. That's what infuriates the novel, its endless and idiotic passivity in all matters.

It took Rome hundreds of years to unite the entire Italian peninsular, If MC tried to conquer the whole of Italy in 10 years, it would have been impossible. Over-expansion easily leads to stretched supply lines, rebellions and guerrilla warfare, not to mention if he constantly conquered for 10 years straight how would he actually rule over and administer the new lands, that's why he had to slowly digest the newly conquered cities. Also going on a rampage to conquer an entire landmass would draw too much attention, which is why he refuses to become King of Amendolara at the start, but instead be Archon as it would draw less attention Not to mention MC couldn't even field an army over 50,000 until the Syracuse arc, the Samnites had a force of 40,000 and the MC never thought them in a head on battle. Rome was able to pull out an army of 70-80,000, how could MC possibly conquer Italy in 10 years after arriving when he first started out with ~2000 or less mercenaries.

There's only one thing in this novel that made me totally unbelieving: The mc doesn't know basic math

After reading afterthoughts everything becomes clear. Author looked for every way to slow down mc's expansion. Even with mc being horrendously passive, author still thought in the ending that everything was too fast and easy for Davos xD

    7) Why did this *d**t add only Corvus to the entire fleet in 15 years?? Corvus was a failed Roman practice during the wars against Carthage. Because the Roman fleet got into storms near Sicily 3-4 times due to overload and completely sank, and as a result, only a few victories due to the suddenness of Corvus. WHY DIDN'T HE IMPROVE AND DEVELOP BETTER AND MORE PRACTICAL SHIPS??? WHY DIDN'T HE ADD NEW WEAPONS TO THE SHIPS? NEW TACTICS OF THE FUTURE?? GREEK FIRE, AT LEAST BANAL, COULD ADD, DOMINATE THE WHOLE SEA = DEFEAT CARTHAGE = GET SICILY, CORSICA AND SARDINIA, GET A MONOPOLY ON WESTERN TRADE AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO CAPTURE THE WHOLE OF ITALY FASTER. AND ETT ONLY THANKS TO A COUPLE OF INNOVATIONS IN THE FLEET, AND SO THE THEONIA FLEET IS LANDLESS, EVEN IF THERE ARE ALMOST A THOUSAND SHIPS. And so in 15 years he has done nothing but the most banal thing that a middle school student knows at school.
