MMORPG: Rebirth as an Alchemist

This novel is both a masterpiece and a piece of garbage at the same time, two very conflicting statements but I'll explain. The story at the start of the novel, although generic was very well written at the start of the novel, but now, the novel has lost its appeal due to the MC becoming an actual d*mb*ss to the love interest. And although the story telling is incredibly peak and I'm interested in what's to come, it's unnecessarily diluted and broken down by the needless romance that serves to 'drive' the MC forwards

Well I tried to stick it out and continue reading but I couldn't. I'm dropping at chapter 530. I'm just not happy with the direction the story is going towards. The plot although initially good became tedious to continue reading after the confirmed relationship with female love interest and twist of the plot as of a result of it.

Well, what can I say? Even two stars is pushing it. There is constantly unnecessary sexualisation of female characters. Very, very distasteful.

Alright, this is my analysis of the novel up to chapter 348. Apart from the protagonist being as dense as a concrete wall, I have a logic issue with this entire novel that is bothering me. In this novel, 1 gil is equivalent to about 1 dollar, and now, for a first blood on a boss or hidden boss, he gets a crystal chest worth easily 10 million dollars if auctioned. Then he sells the service of soloing these bosses to a random guild for 10% of the loot. Now why? Why do this? Why not just use his skills quietly, farm money in the shadows, and amass wealth? Does he want fame? What's his motivation? It's not reasonable, and it's illogical! Completely illogical! Now let's look at the cycle: He's hired, then the guild disrespects him for various reasons, they almost die, and he saves the day doing everything alone, and it repeats. To me, this novel seems kind of silly. I'm dropping this novel.

Classic dead and reborn "loser" who gets to dominate the new VR game with his knowledge of the future. Interesting classes in the game with a very simple and basic fight system. The progression is for me the only thing that could make reading this bearable and even that was ruined when the author turned this into a "shoujo" slice of life novel of horrible quality.

Not worth it. . I mean foreal MC is an *d**t and its getting annoying. First of all his friend Leo's IQ level he is an *d**t, has a short attention span but can remember things and memories well. In the past their 2 friends used them and MC instead of sitting Leo down and explaining everything about their 2 other friends just decides to let leo have time to figure out how the friends are using them. Then even after the friends reveal their true colors Leo is slow so he doesnt understand and MC is basically like even if I tell him the truth he wont get it. . . If it wasnt bad enough that MC had an *d**t friend as a burden then along comes another girl Isolde who is also an *d**t. Also if MC knows the game why is he letting Isolde or Leo make decisions and waste time. . . also the fact that he is making a mercenary group and not a guild makes no sense either. . . its just MC has future knowledge but keeps letting characters side track him. . . Its like Author and Leo have the same IQ. I mean MC has a plan to go to a dungeon, they are going to do it and then Leo or Isolde get distracted and run to another event. MC already knows the event and isnt interested but doesnt stop them. I mean its like isolde or leo see something shiny and bam get distracted and waste time. MC just doesnt seem focused and these random side things which are happening are so boring. So far read 42 chapters but MC just seems way to chill and not hardcore grinding and getting his "team" to focus. I will try and read to a 100 chapters but if it doesnt improve then this review stays. Also somehow MC gets one of the only equipment to hide identity. . . Then MC gets legendary equipment I mean come on and then some of the prices of equipment is insane. I mean $1 in real world is actual $1 in game and some equipments we saw already were 40, 000, 000 like what. . . some of these equipments on top of that gave trash stats. Does this even make sense real world prices A full hp potion is $5000 Full mp potion $10000 A sword which adds 47 stats is 4. 7 million dollars real world money

Read up to 161. NO SPOILER HERE!!! Dump info here and there that is not even crucial and is easy to forget. MOST, yes MOST dump info are not important nor is it interesting. (e. g. You can skip chapter 2, 4-10 without missing anything AND YOU'RE JUST IN CHAPTER 10 YOU HAVE MORE CHAPTERS COMING WHICH YOU CAN SKIP!!) Author's sucks at math fr like bruh, it's basic math and you're not even trying to correct it when some ppl in the comments point it out (in wn). Maybe the author is a kid? idk. It feels like author played 1 mmorpg and wrote his novel xd. If you're planning to read this prepare yourself when reading skill stats, (turn your brain off maybe) maybe just read skill overview on how they work and skip reading skill % dmg, % reduction and maybe more to ignore as the novel goes on further. Skills and stats are not bearable for me but well I'm used to turning my brain off lol. (I don't recommend skipping passives but well. . . your choice) BEFORE I FORGOT READY YOURSELF WITH AUTHOR'S SENSE OF WHAT'S HIGH AND LOW—noticable in the early chapters. —FOR AUTHOR 50% CHANCE IS FK LOW LIKE WHAAAAT?! 10% IS STILL HIGH TO ME HOW IS 50% LOW DROP/CHANCE RATE TO YOU?! Good read when you're not into hard plot and just want to read some story with a 'Oh! I started from dirt, but now I'm richer than you. ' 'You used me in the past, now I'm the one using you. ' 'I didn't expect to meet her here (irl) just after I met her ingame (holy f coincidence lol)' A little romance at the last ch I read (161). This novel obtain lots of Japanese like quirks which is annoying like 'Yosh' and Ren drinking tea so slow you'll thought he's practicing Japanese Tea Etiquette or maybe he's some Chinese noble lol. I felt cringe reading it for this type of noble. Info dump on some chapters are really skippable and monsters descriptions are also skippable. (I just go back if the skill is mention because most of the time monsters skills won't even be used. ) There's also some grammatical error like pronounce or 'cost -7' which the negative sign is not redundant the moment he used 'cost' but it's understandable enough so it can be ignored. I don't hate the novel. It's a good read but fr some part of it looks like a half-assed novel. GOOD LUCK!

It was really good at first. . I got hooked! But from around 340+ chaps the ending were cut and there wasn’t any continuation in commens also. So it's kinda disappointing to see a great novel loosing the attraction.

This is a amazingly written story although some parts can bores but the very next chapters amazing fights happen and how he is able to make what some of the best players considered a worthless class the strongest class.

It's a good novel but it becomes more romance in the 350s chapters and the author cuts the endings so you cant really read it. If you want a romance then mmorpg it's a good choice but if you want mmorpg first then find another one. /
