The hearse with the weird odor slowed to a stop before the entrance. The sound of pebbles could be heard bouncing on the ceiling. There were footsteps coming from the corridor, and there seemed to be someone sawing next door. The door knob to the room rattled slightly, and the faucet in the bathroom kept dripping even though it had been screwed shut. There was a rubber ball that rolled on its own underneath the bed. Wet footsteps started to surface one after another on the floor.
At 3 am, Chen Ge held a cleaver in his hand as he hid beside the room heater. The call he was trying to make was finally answered. “Landlord, is this what you meant by ‘the house can be a little crowded at night’‽”

Where is the other novel of this author? Was it deleted?? I dropped it because I didn't like his second novel but now I can't find the novel itself.
I just finished Shadow Slave (ch.360) and even though I now hate this novel, I can't even relax with a CN trash because of the difference in writing quality...I wouldn't have never should have started this novel. Fortunately this seems to be a good novel to move on to something else.

I read 50 chapters but it is getting difficult to continue.I guess i don't like this genre very much, though i was always a fan of horror movies. I had different expectations before starting this novel .I wanted to experience world exploration of a horror world but this is different. The MC runs a horror house and novel is about expansion of that horror house and making it more scary by completing missons. Not something which is addictive. Though it has 5 star rating so it must be quite good in horror genre , it's just that it is not according to my taste.
What's the power system in this novel. Short summary of the setting with minimal spoilers would be nice.

If this was a real horror house, this novel would probably be many times more famous. By real, I mean that others enter the mc maze not because they are customers and pay, but because they are lost or because they open a random door in their house. (an extra point for killing people the mc doesn't like) Anyway, since I don't get any excitement from the chapters that show the customers' POV, I just skip it.
