The hearse with the weird odor slowed to a stop before the entrance. The sound of pebbles could be heard bouncing on the ceiling. There were footsteps coming from the corridor, and there seemed to be someone sawing next door. The door knob to the room rattled slightly, and the faucet in the bathroom kept dripping even though it had been screwed shut. There was a rubber ball that rolled on its own underneath the bed. Wet footsteps started to surface one after another on the floor.
At 3 am, Chen Ge held a cleaver in his hand as he hid beside the room heater. The call he was trying to make was finally answered. “Landlord, is this what you meant by ‘the house can be a little crowded at night’‽”

Can this really scare me?
After reading this my definition of "curiosity" has really been twisted. I'm not a native so might not know this but do you usually call the act of a ghost trying to bite your head off a curious action🤨. By the way that was not a spoiler or anything, I just said the first example which came to mind
The last time I read this was around that mission in the weird city. The climax was so good I was afraid of going on. I just can't fathom the rest of the story being as good and I'm afraid it'll ruin it for me. The build up, the progression, the suspense and execution were top tier. But I still need closure 😖😭
Is the phone mystery solved?
So either tomorrow or day after tomorrow is Circle of Inevitability (LoTM 2) will be starting and as I had mentioned about re-reading MHoH I'm gonna do that. Starting on 3rd March IST 10 PM. Will read for two hours since which means 15-25 chapters a day. Anyone wants to join me can do it at the same time if they want or before. Edit: I started on 4th March.
