Summary

The path of immortality is nigh unachievable.

Furthermore, the immortal world has been completely transformed by a plague!

When immortals contact infected mortals, their cultivation bases fall, or worse, they return to the heavens; thus, the immortal and mortal realms have been eternally separated.

Moreover, all immortal arts may only have one practitioner; thus, the world of immortality has become a dark forest.

Although Li Fan had grand ambitions when he first transmigrated to this world, he could only be trapped in mediocrity, slowly wasting away his mundane life.

Fortunately, as he was dying, he finally awakened a supreme treasure that could turn truth into lie and reality into dream, reversing time to when he first arrived!

Following this, Li Fan embarked on his endless path to immortality!

In his second life, Li Fan ascended through politics and ruled the world after 50 years, but after searching worldwide, he found no trace of the Immortal Dao. Only at the end of his life could he glimpse the immortal path.

In the third life, despite immense efforts and carefully laid schemes, Li Fan ultimately couldn’t resist a single strike of an immortal’s sword!

In the fourth life…

I, Li Fan, an ordinary mortal, will harbor no regrets throughout a thousand lifetimes, all for the pursuit of immortality!

I'll leave this here for all the fellow daoists wanting to give this novel a try but are being discouraged by the translation problems mentioned in the comments below. 1 to 332 - 1st translator 333 to 441 - 2nd translator - he didn't read the previous chapters before starting to translate. 442 to ? - 3rd translator This novel is EXTREMELY GOOD, btw.

Don't try to create an air of mystery if you're not clever enough and don't have a good plot. The author has found an idea with potential but lacks the depth to realise it. I was patient with the author for 108 chapters, but his incompetence became more and more noticeable with each passing chapter. There are discontinuities in the main story and in order to recover it, traits that we have not witnessed are revealed in the main character. "The main character learnt this at the time, but I didn't tell you, this is what actually happens, so now he's doing this nonsense." After I started reading this novel, I understood better why Mr. "ErGen" is always at the top. A novel written without preparation. I prefer an article suitable for 2-3 year old children to this novel.

There are people here comparing this novel with Lotm or RI. Although this is indeed a good novel, it doesn't even touch the level of the top two. I simply wonder whether we've read the same novel or not. In contrast, they also say that Rtoc (a Regressor's tale of cultivation) is worse than this one, and honestly I totally disagree. Rtoc, they say the romance is bad, but I don't find it bad enough to stop reading, and with the stuff happening currently in rtoc it has indeed the chance to be beside RI and Lotm. Anyway returning to My longevity simulator, it is a good novel, the MC is indeed similar to Fang Yuan in terms of perseverance and reason, but his personality traits aren't expressed clearly imo. Translation is good at the start, but then becomes bad, very bad, with even describing a little girl as loli... YES..loli (Unbelievable).

His personality traits indeed aren’t as clear as Fang Yuan’s. But you are very wrong in your judgement of this book simply because of how it was made, the author has weaved dozens of layers of world building in that have yet to make themselves known. As they make themselves known one by one the quality of the book rises further and further in a very smooth manner until it reaches the level of RI and LotM. Of course the fact you haven’t read far enough yet isn’t your fault because most of these layers of world building are only revealed in chapters that have yet to be translated. Also I'll catch some insults for this probably but this book is far better than RToC in every manner except for emotions, fight scenes, and righteousness

Hmm, this might be the difference in taste at the end of the day. However, you are misunderstanding why Lotm and RI are at the top. The reason is for the presence of peak moments and twists, of course world building is very important but the formers are what establish their position at the top. My longevity simulator doesn't have peak moments that are comparable to those two, although the twists are very interesting. Rtoc instead does have peak moments and twists that are comparable to RI and Lotm. I also kinda dislike MC's cheat, in longevity simulator, which is too op, it was even written in one chapter that the world revolves around him and that MC doesn't see anyone else at the same level. It's like the road for him to become immortal has been almost assured. As long as he is careful enough the way to immortality is possible, but RI? Lotm? Rtoc? those MC's don't have it that easy

      • Zhou_Mingrui_ 3

Hmm rather than moments, its more like a roller coaster there is build up to a certain moment and from there its a adrenaline filled dash, there are several cunning characters, and every single character feels like a person, not just some random characteristics sewn together even minor characters feel alive, several schemes and twists intertwine into a mess, every single arc is exquisite and yeah its on par with lotm

Kingdom's Bloodline is indeed unique in its own way. I've reached ch 5, and can certainly say that author is good with emotions. I've never hated a fictional character so much, may Quide suffer in hell. Are there even more worthless and evil sc*m in the future like him? Imo Quide didn't get his retribution and just died so easily, which is fine, however I hope this isn't going to happen several times with other evil characters. It would feel that the main theme of the book would be that evil can do anything just for justice to come more later than never. Well... let me know thx

if you do plan on reading kingdom bloodline then do note it currently suffers from no translation and mc while sometimes behaving like an adult other times he will behave like a child (after the Eckstedt war arc) and he never really becomes strong so its frustrating even when he does have all the requirement

while i love rtoc i gotta say it gets very bad at some parts and its so outrageously below its usual standard i have to drop it for a while and i think thats why it would never get the potential to be something like ri or lotm its almost like the authors are completely switched out in certien cycles for example yuan li' cycle which ironically was the authors first big arc (even though the early cycles were ten times better) but from the start it simply made no sense and i feel alot of it was either pandering or writing sh*tty situations to progress the plot into what he already decided especially the final fight filled with asspulls that are completely unesecarry thats also repeated in other cycles like the second part of the azure sect's cycle or seo hweols cycle and it genuinly gets hard to read even after those parts are done knowing how the previous cycle made no sense and yet would affect every following cycle

      Reply
      • MastroKaji 1

Actually I agree, there are some cycle which are boring and kinda unnecessary, or maybe it is so complicated that I don't understand. However, they aren't that many and there are many peak moments comparable to RI. Besides I guess it is normal for authors to have some boring or difficult to understand arcs for progression, after all this happens in RI and Lotm as well. PS. If you go to Rtoc discord, if there is something you don't understand, they are always able to answer any questions, some people apparently understand Rtoc perfectly...

        Reply
      • the_creature 1

nah ur getting me wrong im not mad about the lengthening of the cycle or boredom i actually like longer cycles unless its a cycle where he does something r3t4rded and sticks with it nor am i having trouble with understanding what im talking about are plots that are extremely forced or actions by the mc that simply make no sense for his character or for the plot and are only shoved in by the author to lead to a situation to cry about later etc for example stuff like him knowingly letting the entire thunder sect get genocided and im not talking about the time where he directly does it with his own hands by saying zhenglis name knowing d*mn well what it could cause cuz apparently hes only cautious when the author is too tired to write his fuckups but im talking about the time when he first rescued kim yeon and rather than let her join one of the sects or join in her place he decided to LITERALLY wait for 50 years doing jack sh*t so the sect would be genocided and wouldnt bother him

      • Baucho 1

That was in the first timeline that he touched the flag. He was manipulated by the flag's charm and also needed to try it to save his own life. He didn't really know that the sect would be destroyed. After that timeline he tried everything to prevent the sect destruction, and he wasn't the cause of the sect destruction at all

Agreed, this one's a really good read, although not compared to the top 3. It's very entertaining and has a kinda different power system compared to others Murim stories, not to mention it's reincarnation method is cool too, but I can see people disliking it due to the mini-system. Though, I do prefer this one over RToC, due to it being more fast paced, it's not a big deal for me but for readers with a more "logic" approach, it can display some plot-holes or inconsistencies. It's been a good reading so far.

Both are correct cause you did not specify if you meant RAW (MTL) which is about a 1000 chapters ahead or what's available translated on this site. And TheWorthyOne is partially correct, I believe he is still just a True Immortal, but he is more powerful than Nameless Immortals in RAW.

I don't exactly remember when it happened but I am pretty sure he got Nascent Soul at some point since you last read, it's just that he didn't keep that nascent soul as he is aiming for a stronger Grotto Heaven to seize before locking it in.

If I'm not mistaken, he already had the insight to ascend to Nascent Soul but didn't have enough cultivation, he has now though, and is just waiting for the 5 subwords to be moved by the Alliance to do it.

It should be around late 300ths or early-mid 400ths. Tbh i couldn't stand the translation and tried reading elsewhere, when I got back, it was already good again, but the merge should be around those chapters.

I wished there was an update to this novel's chapters here.
