Summary

Jay was merely a butcher, living in a small village on the outskirts of a magical world. When humans came of age, they would receive their class from a mana conduit, and begin their lives as adventurers.

“Status” Thought Jay, checking his class.
[Necromancer Level 1]
“...I'm a Necromancer?!” he was shocked. Looking around in fear, he was glad no one heard him.
In this world, this was a monster class - and one of the more powerful monsters at that.
Jay knew he would be hunted down and killed on sight - he was not just a threat to the authority of the nobles, but to all living things.

Jay now had only one option - to get stronger; building his necrotic powers up so that he may one day become untouchable.
Through plotting, secrecy, and sometimes by sheer carnage, he can only attempt to survive in this hostile world.

Join Jay as he struggles against all odds and misfortune, against a world that wants him dead, as he secretly rises and bends this world to his will.

I dropped it after 4 chapters which usually don't happen cuz i like to read 50 at least before deciding but i really really hate the hp bar thing , like it get on my nerves , and before anyone screams at me about the system and video game tag , every single novel make ppl take damage and actually get injured but this hp bar thingy is childish af

You know what I don’t get? Why didn’t our main character just continuously reset the Helvetia dungeon? We know that everything in an instance dungeon that isn’t a drop resets, so why didn’t he just continuously farm the room of roughly 1.2 million bodies over and over? Let’s say the clearing speed of the first and second pyramids takes 1 hour, even though I suspect mc can do it in 30 minutes. Assumed work time of at least 12 hours means he can get that 1.2 million bodies 12 times a day in a relaxed timeframe. Repeated for a week, that would be 100 MILLION BODIES. He could have upgraded his gauntlet FIVE TIMES with 36 million bodies left over. But no, he decided that a lvl 12 nerfed hammer is much better as a reward.

I think after clearing the pyramid. It wouldn't reset

There's also the simplest option. Just as it didn't even once cross my mind, it didn't cross his.

I believe it's because the skeletons came from NPC's like the NPC knight who gave him the quest. The npc didn't lose her memory even though the dungeon reset . So it can't exactly be called part of the dungeon , therefore it's a one time thing .

Yeah, but I bet she respawns. Just like all the other bosses. Probably. Plus, iteration dungeons means it generates a new parallel realm every time you go in, most likely based on a static template.

My theory is that because he is a "monster" the dungeons will sometimes create special instance dungeons No one else has fallen down that trap? The thing that activated the encounter with the first guardian? Either way we will be going back there to lift the curse at some point so we will find out if he does create special instances.

I like it's no romance theam , LOM also didn't have any romance part and I like that thing , some time in novels romance became burden on story . It also cringe that all fall for one MC , it make MC antagonist in my eyes .

["I haven't been rude to him… I didn't even hit him, it's b*llsh*t, I did naht." she threw her muffin down as she said this expressionlessly, walking around the small wooden fence around Mark's house before finding him. "Oh, Hi Mark." "Oh. Hey, how are you?" Mark said with a smile] Now that’s pretty funny.

do you know what makes the rank note increase (feeling further from the top 10) is the delay in launching, man it took almost 20 days to launch 1? d*mn it could launch 3 out of 3 in a space of 1 week is enough, I liked how the story is developing very slowly and consistently what makes me unhappy is the fact that the necromancer has no development in the fight, of course historically necromancers rule his minions and when there's nothing left, he alone is a force to be reckoned with, if not for the MC's skeletons and his ability to revive as long as bone is available he would have been dead a long time. waiting when he will be able to revive the bodies of Bosses, because only using the bone of the animal that is part of the same species and not creating a stronger skeleton is asking us to stop following the series. Necromancer has to be that overwhelming presence on the field and for that you need minions that emit that overwhelming presence

Well, what you have to consider is that he's only been a necromancer for like 2 months. And while yes, I understand your concerns. He does actively try to learn to fight. It's a book that likes to take it's time, and at that, if you look back at what he was like when he fought the rat king solo, you realise he's actually come very far in 2 months.

what I miss about the necromancer skill is to use the bodies of the Dungeon Bosses to make the minions stronger (based on this novel) and not just use the normal ones, it may be that in the future he will get it since the chimera % is disappearing, but even then it's gone to have.

Why people hate matheson? Is it because he is selfish? Come on, are you so blind to see. Look at the main character personality. He is dumb, Inconsistent, selfish, and he also have a very awful trash talk. Yes, Matheson is selfish, but he don't do a lot of trash talk, he is quite smart (based on his descicion when battle), but what good about him is that he is consistent about what he want to do, he have a goal, to become sttonger. Unlike our main character, yes he also want to be stronger, but it was in the dumbest way. Like when he realize that he was weak at solo, so he put his stat on strength, HE IS A FKING NECROMANCER. Well main character got better though, after he realize how useful commanding is. But i think Matheson growing better comparing with the main character (i'm talking about personality not strength). Because he can accept defeat and find out how to grow.

Matheson is def developing, but he’s developing into the edgy character which, personally I find kinda ehh. Jay’s character is def lacking a lil, but I still prefer his over matheson. Jay can be edgy sometimes too, AND dumb which makes me like him even more. Acts a little more human in my opinion. Especially one who has a monster class, but still wants to have a life.

Matheson is a desperate bully that needs a wake up call. And jay wisdom stems from his necromancer class we are told several times how difficult it is to deal with necromancers during the story, legendary undead with insidious cunning and strategy

Agree with you man. Matheson was at first my least favorite but now my favorite all because of his good character development while Jay on the other hand... Well, author is tryna make Jay look like he's wise but without any explanation as to why he is so, as well as it feels so undeserved. Also, there's a bit of character development on Jay's part too but just feels too unsatisfying and mekes him look dumb.

Bro what you expect He's new and His class is Monster class which is impossible to get. He's the first necromancer human who acquired it so there's no one to teach him. put some thoughts before you type your own opinion. and yes i agree that Noble "Brat" is actually developing faster than MC idk what's happening to Author, Really cuz the side character are developing more than MC smh

Does this get better? I'm only 70 chapters in, and it seems to contradict itself more frequently as time goes on. Jay's extremely paranoid about being murdered for his class, but also barely attempts to hide it. A bunch of his decisions seem really strange or out of line with his previous thoughts, and the world seems weirdly unbalanced. Like, the guild will sell you an iron bar despite there being no blacksmith and provides no weapons before throwing everyone into a dungeon. The only source of gear is a traveling merchant who's only there for a few days. Wounds immediately disappear as long as you have HP, except for all the times that they don't. It just seems really inconsistent.

Jay's extremely paranoid about being murdered for his class, but also barely attempts to hide it. Jay doesn't attempt to hide it because most of the time he is in instance dungeons which means he is the only person there A bunch of his decisions seem really strange or out of line with his previous thoughts, and the world seems weirdly unbalanced. Like, the guild will sell you an iron bar despite there being no blacksmith and provides no weapons before throwing everyone into a dungeon. It's call importing goods and why would the guild give out free weapons The only source of gear is a traveling merchant who's only there for a few days. This is incorrect the guild just didn't inform them of the shop they have which the merchant was taking advantage of to upsell them Wounds immediately disappear as long as you have HP, except for all the times that they don't. As stated during the wood elementals fight the regeneration speed is based on vitality

That doesn't really answer the issues I had. It makes sense he doesn't attempt to hide in the dungeons, but he keeps his skeletons out in the outside world, sends them on unsupervised errands, and goes on missions with strangers. Openly using bonecrafted weapons an inspect away from disaster. One thing going wrong would be the end and he's really relaxed about that in actions while panicking in thoughts. Ignoring the weird economy, the guild's entire base is adventurers, so letting poor recruits be more likely to die instead of working to let future talents survive is counterintuitive. Not a big deal, it just doesn't make sense. Last, during the first solo dungeon Jay heals slowly, but during the bandit attack a fully leveled guard is incapacitated by a single arrow, then shortly after Jay heals an obliterated heart instantly despite being lower leveled than the inn maid. It's not the explanations that are inconsistent, but the events.
