Her feelings were genuine.

She was wearing a 21 million USD ring on her finger and she didn’t even dare to touch it. What if the two wing-shaped diamonds attached to it broke off?

Unable to help it, she nagged, “Why did you buy me something this expensive? Just buy me one to casually wear…”

Lu Lixing stared at the tear tracks in the corners of Ji Qingqing’s eyes. A medical staff member was bandaging one of his injured hands seriously, so he raised his other hand and gently wiped her tears.

Ji Qingqing was stunned and glanced at the medic who seemed to be very focused on bandaging Lu Lixing’s hand. He was very professional and didn’t pay any attention to their interaction at all. Then, it dawned on her that she was crying in front of a stranger.

Lu Lixing stood up. “I’m fine, let’s go back first.”

He moved forward, wanting to hold hands with Ji Qingqing, but she grinned and hid her hand from him. She went out first, her hands holding the ring box carefully.

Back in the room, Ji Qingqing carefully placed the box with the ring in the safe.

“It’s just a ring, why treat it so preciously?”

“This is the ring you bought for 21 million dollars! It’s very expensive! Of course, I have to hide this carefully.” After locking the safe, Ji Qingqing stood up and gently said, “You didn’t even tell me.”

“What kind of surprise would that be?”

Ji Qingqing’s eyebrow rose and the corner of her lips lifted into an imperceptible curve.

“Come and help me.”

“What’s the matter?”

Lu Lixing tilted his head and said, “I want to shower, help me take off my shirt.” He placed his gauze-covered hands in front of Ji Qinqing and added in a quite justified manner, “I can’t use my hands. It’s very inconvenient.”

The familiar Lu Lixing was back.

Ji Qingqing was aware that now wasn’t a good time to disagree with Lu Lixing.

Director Wang stood by the window, heaving a sigh of relief. The show was definitely going great!
