great novel, the way they portray war is specially amazing, in warthere is no villain just solders, the mc feels more alive he suffers for every life he kills and every friend he loses, for an isekai story, it's quite well written and can't predict what's happening next over all 5/5

The fight scenes feel very immersive, but the grammer ruins it. It is very hard to get lost in a story when you constantly have to decode the sentences in order to make sense.

Excellent novel, the cake is a lie. No smut so far, barely any hints of romance. Military themed magic and swords rebirth story. War is accurately portrayed so death, politics and strategy talks are common. No system, no harem. Very interesting story, I never know what to expect, and I have yet to see anything quite like it. Strong recommendation.

It's story of Japanese fella that flew from Japan to Isekai. But. . . He just flew into war world. Unlike average japanese Isekai genre, this one dint have cheat. He absolutely dies without fire affinity magic. Luckily oni mask he found help him a lot. I've read so far and I'm enjoy it. If ye like middle age war fantasy, as a normal person without any cheat system. This is your novel

The author is talented, although the story and characters are not overwhelmingly compelling. The battle scenes, which make up the bulk of the word count, are very detailed, while character development is slightly lacking. Although the characters are realistic, their motivations are rarely explored, and the dialogue is rather brief. If you enjoy realism and action scenes, you will like this. The main character is powerful, but his abilities do not feel gifted to him. (Check the tags before you read)

Came here from the manga and so far I'm liking the story. The war situation is well portrayed and really shows how MC suffers mentally cause of all the killing he has to do. PTSD aside, MC constantly deals with death on the battlefield by treating it as his job and the visceral description in his monologues makes sense. There is also magic involved which is a plus imo.
