One Hundred Years As An Extra

Main characters are great, romance is slow but nice, main conflict and antagonist are pretty tropey but it's still interesting. FL has the right attitude going in, but her awareness and thinking about the novel stuff seems too little as it goes on. I was really excited during the few 3 chapters that we'd get a FL who anticipates novel tropes, but she falls in love and pretty much forgets them. She thinks to befriend the OGMC's friend and strategically hide behind him rather than getting involved in the main plot, and yet can't guess the antagonist seems pretty selective from the author: even if the FL isn't clever (which she isn't), I think it makes sense to have her lay out what she knows to anticipate, even if she doesn't know the novel ending. The author makes her close her eyes and not think about the main plot or plan for anything despite a 2 year time skip. The novel is still really good, but there is some inconsistency in her character, knowledge, intelligence, attitude, and personality-- from totally traumatized, to hopelessly in love, to ridiculously smart and able to learn prodigiously, to incapable of even hypothesizing antagonist's schemes, to goofy and recklessly confrontational, to trembling in fear because of social interaction, to being a social butterfly who gets along well with everyone. I like her character overall, but it's hard to square all her traits into a single realistic person, especially because she has total OP MC pedigree but never demonstrates strength or magical power and is much more often a dependent damsel (though I can see this changing in the future). ML is much more internally consistent.

Although the build up of their relationship is slow, I can manage and be patient with it, as it compensated with the fluff stuff. The tags have smut in it but sooo farrr, only one scene has smut, SPOILER its not even the main characters. However, all I can say is, it is worth the read if you like progressive, slow build up of romance, and also weak to fluff, I guarantee this, this one is good, got me crying in one of the arcs.
