She spoke so softly that even Qu Yan who stood nearest to her could hear nothing at all.

Even Chu Xuning who stood a little further away couldn’t hear, too.

Chu Xuning stared at the cold smirk on her lips and could not help but lean closer since he wanted to hear what she was saying.

At that moment, Yu Shijin tilted his head and said, “There are 108 mutants behind the base. Protect the doctor and leave.”

He had merely lowered his eyes and his tone of voice didn’t change one bit, though it was a little deeper and hoarser than normal. Chu Xuning had taken part in countless missions with Yu Shijin, and he was already quite familiar with Yu Shijin’s commanding style.

Every command from this person was on point.

No matter which side one person stood, no one wanted to oppose it.

However, Chu Xuning felt that Young Master Yu did not seem calm judging by how he sounded.

Something did not sit right with Yu Shijin lately either.

The Chu Family was responsible for sending Doctor Luxe safely to the International Association, but Young Master Yu suddenly interfered without notice. Chu Xuning and the group of doctors broke into a cold sweat!

In other people’s eyes, Su Huiqing seemed frightened because she stood rooted to the ground.

When Su Huiqing took some ammonium nitrate earlier, he directed his thoughts towards using a mini explosive. However, he quickly rejected that idea because even professional researchers could not adjust the percentage of ammonium nitrate needed to make an explosive. Moreover, Su Huiqing had no equipment in her hands at all.

He witnessed how the raging fire had exploded the mutant in pieces.

It also instantly lit up the whole pathway.

No matter how spacious the passageway was, the light from the fire radiated everywhere.

Su Huiqing and the other three opened up a pathway to the front. Su Huiqing casually walked with her hands in her pockets as though she was taking a walk in a park.

The group of doctors who Chu Xuning was protecting walked in the middle of the group. But they still faced sneak attacks from time to time and were in a pathetic state.

Yu Shijin guarded the back alone.

The people at the back and front faced more mutants while the ones who stood in the middle were practically safe.

The group safely walked to the main hall which connected to countless passageways, but only one led to outside.

In an underground base, a golden-haired man adjusted the surveillance camera and watched a group of people walking towards the main hall on the screen. She then pulled a soft sigh as she looked at the two girls who the others protected within the circle.

She pushed away Yu Xiangyang who stood in front of her.

After she had walked out of their circle, she threw her school bag onto the ground and calmly talked to the transceiver. “Buy me two minutes’ worth of time.”

‘Who was she talking to?’ Chu Xuning squinted his eyes.

At the next second, he heard a familiar cold voice. “Alright.”

It was obviously Yu Shijin’s voice.

Everyone looked at Yu Shijin, who slowly walked out from behind. He had a tall posture and had cold gleaming eyes.

He stopped beside Su Huiqing and tilted his head to look at Chu Xuning and the others. With a calm voice, he said, “Leave here first.”

With that, he slowly took out his weapon.

Chu Xuning could not help but stare as he watched his movements.

He knew the reason Yu Shijin rarely took out his weapon, and it was because the weapon was not a firearm, but an ancient bow.

Its workmanship was exquisite; it was black and made from an unknown material. They even carved his name on the bow—Predator.

Yu Shijin was the only one who could use that weapon.

Once the weapon was out, blood would definitely splatter. Hence, unless necessary, he would not just take it out randomly.

Yu Shijin’s subordinate described him with a phrase, and similar to his weapon, it was a phrase used since ancient times.
