It’s not bad. I am just so pissed off about the cousin. When can we kick her off already! I also just wish the MC would just be smart and noticed the small things.... ughhhh

Now hollon hollon i would like to be the devils advocate for this long-ass novel hahaha. I don't know what it takes to be a soldier- the training involved, how to assemble a gun, the realism of a petite woman throwing a 200-pound man over her shoulder. I am simply here to say i like the budding and growing romance between 2 people that are super cool in their own right. No damsels, no weeping willows - just a good slow burn that makes me say 'ughhhh i'm SWOONing'

I am only a few dozen chapters in, but I am already annoyed by the author's tenuous grasp on physics. Now, I understand this is a story about reincarnation, and so it is not completely realistic, but I am also a stickler for details. I am usually okay when authors add somewhat unrealistic or contrived scenarios to their stories for dramatic effect. However, when the scenario is so over the top, it bothers me. A car chase to show off the main character's Mary Sueness? That's fine. An almost 300 MPH car chase in the rain that ends with the main character shooting out the bad guy's tire so that his car flips over and over, but both he and the passenger get out, not only without injury, but still capable of getting into a fist fight with the main characters? That's stupid.
It also seems that the author knows very little about guns which are apparently very prominent in this story. When main character girl is first shown some guns, the mentor character takes down an AK-101 (which is a variant of the AK-47) and it is mistakenly said to use a 5.6mm round as opposed to the 5.56mm NATO round (although that could just be a mistake in the translation or transcription). During the disassembly of the weapon, mentor character describes parts and their use by order of when they were disassembled, and supposedly the old man took 80 parts off of the weapon. This is a very stupid thing to say as an actual AK-47 only has 96 parts including all of the little springs and pins that no one in their right mind would pull apart (just the front iron sight is made of 6 separate pieces). To pull a gun apart to every individual piece would be completely unnecessary when showing someone (who had never even touched a gun before by the way) how the gun works (a complete field strip would only result in 7 separate pieces and would actually be better to show how the gun operates, as guns are made of many moving parts that operate in unison). What makes it worse, is that both of the parts named by the character are completely made up. It really feels like the author wanted to seem like she knew what she was talking about, so she skimmed the first paragraph of Chinese Wikipedia whenever she put a new gun in the book and then made up a bunch of gun sounding things to make main character girl sound smarter, but to someone who knows some stuff about guns, it just sounds stupid. It's also not that hard to google gun parts if you want to sound smart. I just googled the "reset spring lock" and "gun buckle" just to prove to myself that they aren't real parts.

Does anyone know if there are any novels where the MC is a woman and she goes on an actual cultivation journey facing of against deadly enemies or going on crazy adventures? Or is every female MC story about romance, being a sex slave to her worst enemy or waking up to find she's married to a an evil dictator overlord ?
