Starts out 🔥🔥🔥 However there are six tiers of power, MC spends more than half the novel in tier 3. So hopefully that gives you an idea of the pacing in this novel… Alternating ending is 🔥if you turn off your brain. I would recommend skimming the wiki or reading a few hundred chapters of original first, then skipping to alternate ending (it’s basically a sequel but he also restarts in terms of power, but way better pacing imo)

The story is good and it's really enjoyable if you can shut your brain off and just looking for the action without nitpicking on logic. But, the MC has the most plot armor in all the web novels ilve read so far. And I feel the story line is just repetitive, the main story and the alternate endings.

Fun read, but what a spectacular mess. The story is decent, the game elements are fun, barely any real character development. Description of game and world concepts are long and frequent, very little description of the world, characters, or items. But worst of all, the author is forgetful. I doubt be even has a spreadsheet or outline to track his own story progression. Such a mess.

ROTSSG is an interesting novel that is understandably related to junk food in its low quality but easy to enjoy nature. In 3000 chapters a lot is said and a considerable portion of it is absolutely waffle: needless reaction (every single time the MC does something noteworthy), inconsistent plotlines, Luck beyond belief and a halo so bright God would be jealous (That Demon tower in the first God Mode Dungeon). However, not all is bad and the novel does manage to provide entertainment for those that read it. My favourite parts were the characters, his party in particular were all fairly distinct although most admirably lacked depth. The Ranking system for weapons, Tiers and Lifestyle skills were all fantastic. Secret-Silver, Fine-Gold, these small elements added depth and improved my impression by many tiers. Finally the money making of this novel is truly top tier, I would even argue that this is one of the best financial fantasy pieces I have ever read. Specialities being sold to foreign markets making loads of money, cities charging for teleportation making daily passive income, I cannot express that this is the reason I stuck with this novel because this scratched an itch I didn’t know I had. I hate this novel, the plot is garbage and the luck involved makes me want to buy a lottery ticket but I read 3000 chapters of the thing and I honestly did not dislike the experience. Read it if you’ve not got anything better to read, or something to do. I thankyou for your time.

The really great parts of the novel is the city building and army building chapters, if those stuff can be maintained without affecting the novel too much the alternative ending will be worth reading. The parts were Shi Feng goes all out to improve Anna and Kite were also rather enjoyable, hopefully more such NPC comrades are available later in the alternate ending. Honestly we all loved the various economic wars Zero Wing waged but the conflict with characters is a let down.

If Reverend Insanity is a five star michelin restaurant, RotSSG is like Mcdonalds. It’s the junk food of webnovels, however I still recommend everyone to read it.

Starts out good then turns into absolute sh*t. Too much repetitive plot. One important point is that throughout the entire novel MCs guild does not have enough foundation even when he beats top guilds it's still not f*ck*ng enough foundation. Guild mates are sh*t. As soon as other guild that offer slightly more they leave the MCs guild and when the 3rd rate villain guild loses they regret their intestine or sth. Mc carries the whole guild throughout the novel. Each and every time they are in the brink of destruction without the mc. Basically his guild is baggage. Plot can be summarised as MCs guild is growing. . . Some 3rd rate villain wants more benefits. . . Attacks the MCs guild. MC destroys their guild and the 3rd rate villain joins and even bigger guild and attacks MCs guild again with a 2nd rate villain. And repeat. MC always first to find an item in the game coz of his previous life. But he still cannot surpass the rest of the players. They always find something to counter mc. And mc falls in trouble every f*ck*ng time. MC is dumb with no character development. Only knows how to take revenge. This is the most sh*tt**st novel I've read As for why I'm giving this a 3 star because it is somewhat enjoyable to read despite the sh*tty writing.

Quoting other reviews. . . ZERO CONSISTENCY : "the logic and previously established rules would go out of the window had the plot need it be. . . This translated to a lot of things being forgotten in the novel for the sake of plot progression. " EXCESSIVE DESCRIPTION COPYING : "needless repetitive filler wording. It gets really redundant. "

Honestly, it is not a bad novel. The first books ending was rushed but the second book does make up for it. There is no remance at all by the way. It can seem repetative but never boring in my opinion. Over all I would suggest giving it a try. You never know, you might enjoy it where others havent. I recommend giving it a chance and making your own decision.

This novel is trash. First of all, the conflict is garbage. There are battles between the Mc and other guilds every arc, where the enemies say outrageous things and fight all out wars for the most petty of reasons. For example, the author loves to use the "you didn't give me everything you own, now we're mortal enemies" excuse to milk wars constantly. Furthermore, whenever the Mc face slaps other guilds, the enemies get up like nothing happened, continuing to talk trash lines such as "we'll surpass you, just you see!", then, 5 chapters later they are competing in something else again. On the other hand, whenever the Mc is forced into combat, the author uses the excuse that "if they don't fight 5 different guilds setting up an ambush for them, their reputation is ruined". Moving on from conflict, the story's power creep is disgusting. When the Mc gets an epic item, he talks for multiple paragraphs describing how rare one is, only for fragmented legendaries to replace them in rarity a few chapters later. Then, when we believe that fragmented legendaries are rare, suddenly, the author pulls out legendary items and divine artifacts. Also, such equipment and items are described as overwhelmingly powerful, yet in a battle, the Mc can get destroyed by someone eluding trash gear. Besides this, there is power creep in martial arts, experts, and guilds. The Mc awakens a high martial art realm that is as rare as a Pheonix feather amongst top experts? Two chapters later, every enemy has the same realm as him. The Mc has heavenly luck, obtaining disgusting attributes that literally no one else can compete with? One guild provocation later, the Mc barely beats someone who is way weaker than him, using the excuse that their 'better martial arts" helped them bridge the gap. Lastly, the Mc's guild finally destroys another guild? Boom, they were a chain enemy that actually had a powerful secret backer. Nothing in this story lasts for a significant time, as fortune is replaced with fortune, conflict produces more conflict, and the Mc growing means that everyone else is stronger. Moving on, the author loves inconsistencies and forgets a lot of skills and items. There are so many plot holes that it isn't even worth arguing about. The Mc also conveniently forgets skills and abilities for the "plot", so that some enemy almost beats him. Then, when he fights an even stronger enemy, suddenly, he was actually hiding his strength the entire time. Moving on again, the characters and interactions are one dimensional. The Mc is an asexual robot who has no personality. All women are jade beauties who either want to bed with strong men or are super strong. (There are literally no ugly women) Meanwhile, characters who can't keep up with the power scaling are forgotten or become fearless. (Lonely snow and Blackie) Lastly, the peanut gallery literally just twists the author's thoughts into the story, they change sides instantaneously, forcing the plot to move, whilst all the enemies are arrogant young masters with inf money, immense foundation, and immortal hatred for the Mc. The one positive of this novel is the world building, which actually features a fleshed out reality all because the author loves info dumping. However, the legacy the Mc tries to build isn't satisfying at all. So, what if the Mc wins now? Two days later, and everyone else is just as good. Also, even if the Mc becomes the most powerful existence in the world, the people underneath him will all be trash. What's the point of being the most prestigious organization when everyone else is a one dimensional villian. I can't root for the Mc's growth after hundreds of chapters, knowing that in the end, the people remembering him are the hypocrite peanut gallery members and arrogant companies. To further add to this, the story only focuses on powering up. I like overheated because actions have significance, and the Mc actually builds up a family and reputation. In this novel, there is no character growth, emotional interaction, or romance. In conclusion, trash story.

So basically NSHBA 2.0. Not gonna read this novel then. If I ever meet NSHBA‘s author, I will risk going to jail or even being killed to strangle him. What you described as disgusting power creep can’t even come close to NSHBA‘s disgustingness.
