It's not some genius or a great story, it's your comfort content! You read it for the progress! And it's one of those that you skim through but once you finish you want more! Because you read too fast as you skipped more than 500 to 800 pages of word! Characters are mostly one dimensional! But it works for the story and makes it better tbh! World building is the most fascinating thing of the story, faction building is a concept I like very much and this was very much highlight of the story! Though the story is very detailed and revolves around a lot of plot points and different characters, it pains me to see so many plot points forgotten and characters underutilized! Despite it's many flaws I have to admit that it was a really addicting experience, reading this by the end of it left me wanting more. . . So, if you're looking to get into it just skim through useless stuff you don't like and it's a good read then!

This was the second novel i ever read and also my first chinese novel, so it has a special place in my heart. It doesn't have a good plot but it does have some good face slapping. The plot is repetitive. But I had fun!

Book 1: Our fearless MC is suddenly transmigrated into his self 10 years prior, with his 10 years worth of knowledge he attempts to secure a better future. Be prepared for a ton of face slapping as the MC is consistently the underdog throughout the novel with waving at the wrong person instantly makes them sworn enemies with no recourse. You will want to turn your brain off with plot holes, inconsistencies, and forgotten elements rampant throughout. Book 2: Shi Feng reloaded, this time he wakes up and its right where the first book leaves before he transmigrated. He is a "middle age" man 34 who has a mysterious injury trying to climb his way back to the top in God's Domain. In true sense the author forgets events, people, skills, items and more as we try to figure out why he is still the underdog with his heaven defying luck and skill.

I don't know how I even reached as far as I did (around 1600s) - perhaps I was hoping that it'd return to being decent as it somewhat was in early chapters. MC goes back to the past and due to his experience he actually gets ahead of everyone else. There's really noone that can compare to him and not because he just overpowers everyone due to being a martial arts super genius, but because his knowledge serves him well. He knows where to go and what to do. He uses tools and consumables to gain advantage over players who are just starting to crawl. Then BAM, young masters aka corporations aka gaming giants with 100+ years of experience in VR games enter the chat. Obviously they can't tolerate existence of MC. Why? Nobody knows. Apparently it's mortal sin not wanting to give away 50%+ of your guild shares to every Benny who visits you and practically demands them (btw, author has absolutely no idea how stocks and shares work, but it's another story). Since then 90% of the novel consists of cartoonish characters plotting how to overthrow MC guild, peanut gallery constantly talking how this and that super guild has years of foundation while MC guild doesn't (which is why he should just drop his pants and bend over), which is being culminated by a group fight which honestly MC should win by autoattacking due to his level and attributes being 10 times higher than anyone else (due to him having multiple top tier epic and legendary items, while the rest of the world is happy with items 3 tiers lower), but due to one reason or another it's a close fight that is barely won (for example a lvl 30 dude bringing out a T4 spell scroll that apparently was considered super rare even at lvl 200 in MC's past, but now somehow everyone has multiple of those). Then the arc ends with villains waving their closed fists and promising this isn't the last time MC has heard of them while they run away. 3 chapters later they are once again planning how to overthrow that hateful Zero Wing. Honestly I could probably write 20 more paragraphs on what's wrong with this novel (like being stated multiple times that MC guild walks the path of elites which is why they have fewer members than others, but they all have top notch equipment, levels advantage as well as personal combat skills far above regular players, and yet when bounty on the guild members is released by villains they get massacred left and right by random players until MC takes an action) but ultimately it can all be summed up with 3 words - lack of logic. I sincerely suggest you stay away from this novel. Far, far away.

I think gods domain is one of the best world's. Along with the commerce that's shown, the politics and the gradual progression it's worth a read

One of the best novels ever written. The gaming aspect with tiers, realms and naming sense makes you feel really captivated. It has great world building without the need of having to add romance to keep the audience engaged. The side characters are ever developing and not boring. The longer this novel continues i don't ever get the feeling i get from some novels like its dragging on and the novel needs to end. The author set the bar high in terms of how deeply the story can go and this helps not limit the story's content.

Starts out 🔥🔥🔥 However there are six tiers of power, MC spends more than half the novel in tier 3. So hopefully that gives you an idea of the pacing in this novel… Alternating ending is 🔥if you turn off your brain. I would recommend skimming the wiki or reading a few hundred chapters of original first, then skipping to alternate ending (it’s basically a sequel but he also restarts in terms of power, but way better pacing imo)

The story is good and it's really enjoyable if you can shut your brain off and just looking for the action without nitpicking on logic. But, the MC has the most plot armor in all the web novels ilve read so far. And I feel the story line is just repetitive, the main story and the alternate endings.

Fun read, but what a spectacular mess. The story is decent, the game elements are fun, barely any real character development. Description of game and world concepts are long and frequent, very little description of the world, characters, or items. But worst of all, the author is forgetful. I doubt be even has a spreadsheet or outline to track his own story progression. Such a mess.

ROTSSG is an interesting novel that is understandably related to junk food in its low quality but easy to enjoy nature. In 3000 chapters a lot is said and a considerable portion of it is absolutely waffle: needless reaction (every single time the MC does something noteworthy), inconsistent plotlines, Luck beyond belief and a halo so bright God would be jealous (That Demon tower in the first God Mode Dungeon). However, not all is bad and the novel does manage to provide entertainment for those that read it. My favourite parts were the characters, his party in particular were all fairly distinct although most admirably lacked depth. The Ranking system for weapons, Tiers and Lifestyle skills were all fantastic. Secret-Silver, Fine-Gold, these small elements added depth and improved my impression by many tiers. Finally the money making of this novel is truly top tier, I would even argue that this is one of the best financial fantasy pieces I have ever read. Specialities being sold to foreign markets making loads of money, cities charging for teleportation making daily passive income, I cannot express that this is the reason I stuck with this novel because this scratched an itch I didn’t know I had. I hate this novel, the plot is garbage and the luck involved makes me want to buy a lottery ticket but I read 3000 chapters of the thing and I honestly did not dislike the experience. Read it if you’ve not got anything better to read, or something to do. I thankyou for your time.
