Chapter 785: Battling The Ghoul Chief

Gunner mentioned their mysterious husband, hoping it would motivate them even further to not die…at least not before they could get back.

Not only he but Jake and his team also knew the chances of these four surviving were close to nil if they tried to distract the Ghoul Chief.

But now that things came to this and they were so determined, all of them agreed, Lita and Becca even more happily so.

Milo leaned forward and said, "Just a quick tip to help deal with that monster…."

Everyone perked their ears, wondering what tip he could possibly be suggesting with such eagerness.

"Hit his jewels if everything fails," Milo said with a wink, making the others roll their eyes while Gunner elbowed him for coming with nonsense.

Lily and Yuria softly chuckled, knowing that Milo was trying to lessen the tension they had.

"We will try that if everything else fails," Valentina suddenly said to which everybody had blinking expressions. It seemed like she was serious, and seeing how she said it, it seemed like she had done this before.

"Okay. Don't fail, all of you…Let's do this!" Gunner said as everyone got up and took out their weapons, and immediately rushed out.

"HEY! Ugly fuckers, over here!" Milo shouted as all five ghouls turned around with a subtle growl, not expecting any humans to have survived and interrupt them.

The Ghoul Chief licked his machetes with a feral look upon seeing twelve humans before him.

"YAARGHH!" The four ghouls behind him roared as they charged first, followed by their chief slowly walking behind them.

All three teams could see that this ghoul chief was using his subordinates to deal with the first attack while he would join in after to easily crush all of them.

But they weren't going to let that happen as Jake came forward first and unleashed his lightning upon all four ghouls, staggering them for just a moment or two.

However, that was enough for Lily and her sisters to fly past these four and over toward the Ghoul Chief to draw him away from Gunner and Jake's team.

Lily's longsword shone with a brilliant white light that made the Ghoul Chief groan. But to the shock of all four, he only briefly squinted his eyes and swayed his arm in the air, creating waves of powerful pressure that blew all four of them to the other end, their backs smashing against the fortified wall.

All four of them collapsed on the ground and saw the Ghoul Chief staring at them with bloodlust burning in his eyes. At least they managed to successfully draw his attention.

"Yuria, do it…We can't go on like this," Lily said as Yuria nodded and closed her eyes briefly as her ethereal energy seeped into the bodies of her sisters.

All of them slowly stood up as their cultivations began to rise level by level till all of them were at the sixth level of the Profound Ethereal Realm!

Yuria could have done this before, but this was very exhausting for her to perform, especially not only for herself but for three other people as well. She knew if she had done this before, she would collapse within just a couple of minutes while her sisters would experience temporary weakness after the effect wore off. It was too risky to do earlier, and all of them had decided to wait till they really needed it.

"Four delicious human girls…My night won't be boring, hehehe," The Ghoul Chief laughed with an ominous smile. It seemed as if he was looking forward to toying with all these four humans.

"You have killed enough of these poor people. Now you will pay for shedding blood unnecessarily," Lily said as she pointed her longsword upwards, and a brilliant ball of white light began to form on its tip, its radiance way more blinding than before.

"UGH!" This time the Ghoul Chief reacted even more wildly upon having his eyes filled with the radiance of the ball of light which somehow seemed way more powerful than before. Even his skin seemed to give off smoke as if it was burning under the scorching white light.

However, he quickly reinforced his body, including his eyes, with his defensive energy, allowing him to finally open his eyes.

But to his shock, the moment he opened his eyes, he saw a rain of icy arrows shooting toward him, followed by a barrage of different kinds of blades that seemed to have a life of their own. And as if that was not enough, he felt the earth from beneath his feet wrapping around his limbs, trying to trap him while the fourth woman seemed to have disappeared into thin air.

"AARGH!" The Ghoul Chief growled in pain as his expression was filled with disbelief that he actually got hurt by some weak humans.

Five icy arrows had dug into his skin but not deep, while the barrage of blades had cut his skin and was trying to dig into his flesh. The earthen veins had wrapped around his body, making it him hard to move, and before he could even react, he felt a long, curvy blade sliding into his back.

"RARRGHH!!" He roared in anger and pain and twisted his neck around to see that the fourth one had magically appeared behind his back and used her blood-red sword to cut into his spine while making his blood tremble.

Valentina would have aimed for the neck if not for the fact that she knew the Ghoul Chief was protecting his vital points with his defensive nethereal energy, which would make her surprise attack not that effective.

However, Valentina, Reva, and Yuria knew that the main reason they were able to injure this monster easier than expected was that Lily's ball of lighting, which was shining as brilliantly as the sun, was weakening this thing.

The roars of the ghoul filled the entire underground floor, making Gunner and Jake's team have their expressions filled with shock and disbelief.

Those four new girls managed to hurt that monster so bad?
