Light hearted and an excellent read to relax, Lu Zhou is decent protagonist with his own unique brand of humble bragging. Decent to gain some knowledge about the scientific world.

On a personal note, I liked this book. a lot of repetitive grammar being used to describe any achievements is cumbersome to re-read. the plot progression seems to be rather measured. I for one lost interest when he gets lost on mars and the time-skip happens. it would have helped if the novel ended right there with a few more chapters explaining how the rest of the characters end up maybe even a system jump would have lent a more interesting flavor to the book itself. . . the oft repetitive trope of the pro-"home country" mc winning by a landslide margin makes it a hard read. would have rated it slightly lower even but then this is still just a web-novel and can't be seen as serious literature. . . therefore a 3/5 seems the most apt. good premise, intriguing tropes but no excitement from the story itself unless you have grasped the magnitude of the achievements placed on the mc's head. . . not a hard pass but still not a definite recommend. . . your choice

I feel like this novel is overrated. There are a lot of inconsistencies in the Mc, especially when it comes to women. Bro is denser than a black hole. In early arcs he was acting as if he wants a girlfriend and isn't good enough for one even when he has girls fawning over him. Also, he acts narcissistic, talking about how handsome and smart he is, despite being a nobody before he got his system. Speaking of the system, it's literally just a plot device. It's main purpose is to give missions, which will become the next of the story whenever chosen. Besides quests, the levels are poorly explained, there is no definitive difference between levels, allowing the author to write whatever buff he wants when he feels like it could be useless. For example, if the Mc suddenly gets inspiration to solve a ridiculous idea, the author will just "chalk it up" to him increasing comprehension after levelling up. The story also sucks in my opinion, the first few arcs were boring, the space arc was fine, but the 200 chapters afterwards and the ending were trash, leaving a bunch of unanswered mysteries. Moreover, the educational concepts were inconsistent to reality. Every time he tried explaining a theorem, formula, and idea only to get it wrong, I physically cringed. The story is also terrible at displaying math and formulas. In text form, they just don't fit. Also, it's ridiculous that the story attempts to explain ideas like molecular physics when the author and reader probably have no clue about the topic. Imo, such chapters could've been simplified to "they did ___ which led to ____ discovery instead of menial numbers and letters. Lastly, the author loves saying nutty to describe things as good. He's smart? No, he's a true genius who is nutty at math. He's good at socialising? No, he's nutty at talking to people. In short, the story is bad, consisting of a lot of issues.

It was a well written novel. The author definitely did a lot of scientific research just to write this novel. The last 240 chapters were kinda boring but the journey to get there was amazing. The author has a strange fascination with the word nutty ig. Overall really lyk this novel.

All in all, wonderful slice of life then sci-fi/action novel, the mysteries were intriguing and solved creatively. Aside from a few slow moments, it was an overall fun ride. As far as Chinese LN goes even the patriotism wasn’t too over the top, although it could be rather in your face at times. A solid 8. 7, wouldn’t read again but would definitely recommend. Would be a 9/10 if Xiao Ai got more time to so adorable shenanigans or if she was called his child.

The novel was good so good that I have to remind myself time and time again that this is just a novel and the political stuff are just the author's point of view and I have to turn off my biases. If you get pass that issue this will be your next favorite novel to read and reread. Fav character is Xiao Ai and how adorable she is to the story. 8. 9/10 would like to reread again in the future.

I love this novel so much, I've read it twice. I like the way Lu Zhou develops, I like the system that is different from the usual cheating systems. I miss a more consistent romantic development, but I understand that it wasn't the sweetest part of the work. My only regret is that it didn't end in a way that I like: many things were left open and I know there will be no sequel.

Good novel, it shows the world of science from a point of view that any ordinary person without much knowledge could understand as well as adding a science fiction touch. As the labels already show, this novel contains racism, especially towards the United States, and nationalism. Or put another way, it shows the vision of the world from the point of view of a Chinese nationalist person (the author). If you can't tolerate this point of view, you better not read it as it will become hateful reading for you. If, on the contrary, the political and racial aspects do not affect you much, this novel has a good story, funny characters, the romantic subplot is nice but quite late and simple and the topics that it deals with both science and philosophy are quite interesting.
