Chapter 6: The Demon’s Rebellion.

Edited by: Mochiusagi

When Su Qin returned to the Handyman Court, he found that the Handyman Court Head was yelling at some disciples.

When the Handyman Court Head saw Su Qin, he slightly nodded.

The Handyman Court Head watched Su Qin grow up, and knew that Su Qin had been hard working over the past five years.

Compared with Su Qin, the other disciples of the Handyman Court were not doing enough.

These disciples were either trying to learn the Shaolin Temple martial arts secretly, or just being lazy.

Only Su Qin, in the five years, he never slacked in the slightest, not even for a day. Every day, he will appear in different corners of the Shaolin Temple to sweep them clean.

‘Where can I find such a worry-free dísciple?’

The more the Handyman Court Head saw Su Qin, the more satisfied he was. He wonders if he can find an opportunity to entrust him with an important task…

“Zhen Guan, you’re back…”

The Handyman Court Head moved towards Su Qin and laughed.

When Su Qin entered the Shaolin Temple, he was given the name of ‘Zhen Guan’.

“Court Head!” Su Qin stopped among the other disciples and greeted him.

“En.”

“Alright, during this period of time, the Shaolin Temple will be under martial law, you all must pay attention to this.” The Handyman Court Head looked at the disciples, and said resolutely.

“Court Head, what happened? I see that the other disciples of the other Courts are also acting mysteriously…” A dísciple asked curiously.

When he asked this, the other disciples’ eyes also shined, and their ears quickly perked up.

The Handyman Court Head hesitated for a while, before deciding to reveal some of the information: “This matter is related to the Shaolin Temple scandal. You can listen to it, but don’t tell it to anyone.”

In fact, this was not really a secret. The reason why the Handyman Court Head didn’t say it before, was because he didn’t want the disciples to be distracted.

But now that the Shaolin Temple was under martial law because of this matter, if he does not disclose some of it, his disciples would most likely get into trouble for this. Since he’s the Court Head, he’ll bear the consequences for not answering his disciples queries in the first place.

“Nine hundred years ago, when the Shaolin Temple was at its peak, there was a traitor.”

“Although this traitor was a Shaolin Temple disciple, he was an apostate and claimed to be the ’Demon Buddha’. He wanted to destroy the Shaolin Temple.”

(Translator Note: I originally just wanted to use Demon but it seems to be referring to something specific so I’ll keep it as Demon Buddha despite the awkwardness.)

“Fortunately, there was the Patriarch who had attained ‘Arhat’ Buddhahood in the temple at that time, and the Patriarch took action. Naturally, this ’Demon Buddha’ was quickly suppressed.”

“But after the suppression of the ’Demon Buddha’, the Patriarch soon passed away.”

The Handyman Court Head sighed when he said this.

If only the Shaolin Temple still had such a powerhouse at the level of ‘Arhat’, would they still need to bother cowering in fear?

When the disciples heard this, they looked at each other in blank dismay. At their level, they couldn’t understand what ‘Demon Buddha’ and ‘Arhat’ meant.

Only Su Qin’s eyes were slightly solemn.

Martial Artists in the world are divided into 9 Grades; Grade 1 is the strongest, and Grade 9 is the weakest.

Being able to enter Grade 3 is becoming a world-famous powerhouse. The Heads of the Shaolin Temple are at this level.

While Abbot Hui Wen is Grade 2.

A Grade 2 Martial Artist is also called a Grandmaster.

As for Grade 1, it is called a Great Grandmaster. Only if a Sect is owned by a Grade 1 Martial Artist, can the Sect be called a ‘Great Sect’.

In the Shaolin Temple, a Grade 1 is also called the ’Holy Monk’.

Above Grade 1, is the ’Arhat’ Buddhahood.

People prefer to call Martial Artists of this Realm ‘Legends’.

Whether it is Arhat Buddhahood or a Legend, they both represent a certain extreme of Martial Dao. They can take advantage of the wind and the air, they can even destroy a city with just their palms.

But according to the Handyman Court Head, such a person passed away soon after he suppressed the Demon Buddha.

Take note that it’s ‘suppress’ and not ‘kill’.

It was very likely that the ’Demon Buddha’ was also a powerhouse of the ’Arhat’ level, that’s why the Patriarch could only suppress it, and not kill.

Furthermore, during the suppression, the Patriarch should have been severely injured, which led to him passing away soon after.

And apart from this.

Su Qin knows that the Shaolin Temple’s strongest Divine Art, the [Buddha’s Palm], was lost 900 years ago.

This was at the same time of the birth of the Demon Buddha.

Su Qin guessed that it was because of the Demon Buddha’s chaos that led to the loss of the [Buddha’s Palm] and the death of the Patriarch.

Just as Su Qin was thinking about the situation, the Handyman Court Head continued: “Although the Demon Buddha was suppressed, its Demonic Will did not die. Every hundred years, the seal will be broken and a strand of the Demonic Will will be split up, bewitching the Shaolin Temple’s disciples.”

“In the past nine hundred years, because of this Demonic Will, there have been eight descendants of the ’Demon Buddha’ in the Shaolin Temple.”

“These descendants of the ’Demon Buddha’ are all Shaolin Temple disciples, but under the influence of the Demonic Will, they also want to destroy the Shaolin Temple.”

“In just a few years, it will be the Ninth Century. Therefore, if you encounter the Demonic Will’s bewitchment, you must inform us immediately, do you understand?”

Speaking of this, the Handyman Court Head stared at the disciples sternly.

“We understand.” The disciples immediately replied.

After the Handyman Court Head left, Su Qin did what he should do.

As for the Demon Buddha and so on, that was something that the Heads and Abbot of the Shaolin Temple should worry about. It had nothing to do with Su Qin.

He’s just an unassuming sweeping monk after all. Unless the Shaolin Temple is destroyed, such things will not affect Su Qin.

And just like this, six months passed.

In the past six months, Su Qin has only Signed In at the Bodhi Court and gotten a large number of medicinal pills.

“The preparations are almost done.”

Su Qin casually found a place in the mountain forest, and was preparing to break through.

This mountain forest was on the edge of the Shaolin Temple, and people will not come over.

So even if Su Qin makes the breakthrough and causes some disturbance, it will not alarm the Abbot.

Crash~

Su Qin lifted his right hand and immediately took out the medicinal pills from the System Storage.

These medicine pills all enhance the flesh body, such as the Marrow Cleansing Pill. At a glance, there were probably thousands of pills.

If the Heads of the Shaolin Temple were to see these amounts of pills, their jaws would drop in shock.

Even in the entire Bodhi Court, there are only more than 100 Marrow Cleansing Pills produced in a year.

And these Marrow Cleansing Pills are distributed to each Court, and each Court Head can only get up to ten pills per year.

But now, the amount of Marrow Cleansing Pills in front of Su Qin was at least a thousand. This was equivalent to the output of the Bodhi Court producing pills for ten years without eating or drinking.

“Start!”

Su Qin sat cross-legged and kept delivering the Pills into his mouth, as if they were jelly beans.

Half an hour later, Su Qin’s aura suddenly shrank.

Immediately afterwards, the endless World’s Essence Qi seemed to have found an open gate and frantically rushed towards Su Qin’s body.

However.

The World’s Essence Qi, which was enough to make an ordinary Grade 4 Martial Artist explode on the spot, after pouring into Su Qin’s body, they became as well-behaved as a cat and quickly blended into every piece of his flesh and blood; rapidly strengthening his body.

After an hour passed.

Su Qin opened his eyes, slightly surprised.

“Is it over?”

“I’m already at Grade 3?”

Su Qin was surprised.

When he entered Grade 3, it was as simple as eating food and drinking water. It was not as dangerous as the rumors said it was.

“Was it because of the Great Accomplishment of the [Invincible Vajra Divine Art]?” Su Qin slowly got up, feeling the changes of being an Upper Realm Martial Artist.
