Xiao Haiqing was worried that Jing Yunzhao didn’t have that much cash on her. She wanted to remind her of that and take out some money of her own to use. However, she was afraid she would hurt Jing Yunzhao’s pride. Xiao Haiqing was troubled.

However, Jing Yunzhao was acting as if she wasn’t bothered by this at all. She only nodded and sat down.

The dishes were ordered beforehand. Jing Yunzhao was also hungry and since it was just the two of them, she had no need to hold herself back and told the server to start serving the food.

Of course, this was just a small part of it. To beat Ye Qing, Xiao Haiqing ordered more of the expensive dishes. Haiqing didn’t know the names of these dishes. Even in her mouth, they tasted foreign. Plus, even Jing Yunzhao had never even heard of some of the ingredients in these dishes.

“Um… Yunzhao, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I let you paid for all of this. How about we each pay half?” Xiao Haiqing said, trying to test Jing Yunzhao’s limits.

Jing Yunzhao was eating quite happily. “No need. I already said I will treat you. It’s okay to have leftovers. I’ll take some home later. I have two friends I’m living with. It can last for quite a few days.”

After Jing Yunzhao said that, Xiao Haiqing felt guiltier, “It’s all my fault! All I thought about was being satiated. I don’t have a sense of propriety.”

“It’s okay as long as you understand. Wasting is shameful, so eat without holding back. Let’s clean up these plates!” Jing Yunzhao continued. Since no one else was in the room, she rolled up her sleeves and her image immediately changed.

“And I thought that all good students were unsociable and eccentric. I didn’t think you were like this in private,” Xiao Haiqing said with a bitter face, trying hard to not laugh. Her expression was becoming more and more interesting.

However, Xiao Haiqing sighed to herself. Jing Yunzhao’s actions might have been slovenly, but they did not seem vulgar in the slightest. If these actions were to be done by someone else, it would seem completely different.

Before Xiao Haiqing could even speak, Jing Yunzhao took the dish beside her and gave it to the server, “Please gift this back and tell the girl who gave us the dish… tell her that this dish tastes pretty good. I want her to try it. If she asks for the dish name or ingredients, just answer her honestly.”
