Hey, can anyone tell me if there is any romance between the MC and other girls?

If Her name is power, then Shang loves her. But for real. There is absolutely no thing to do with romance in this book. Besides a single Sweeper agent at like chap 600 who expressed a little interest in the MC just for him to then proceed to tell them to f*ck off. Other than that there's nothing.

Do be warned tho this story is all about the Mc training and training to supreme power. If you’re not someone that enjoys things like that you’ll definitely find it repetitive and boring so just a heads up

Damm another novel that did a massive leap from R500-300 to R3. 4 months ago this was being sh*t on by everyone.

For all of you concerned about whether you need to read “Lightning is the only way” before this, you don’t. It’ll make the last 10 chapters makes “more” sense but to be honest, it’ll still give you the same effect regardless.

If I may ask... what should I read 1st? This sword god story or the lightning is the only way? I'm already at the 100th chpt now and people are mentioning something like lightning is the only way is a prequel or something🫠. Now I'm curios to read it🤔 after this

It would give you more insight as to how the cosmos operate in Author's multiverse but you can honestly skip it and still enjoy Sword god just as much. You can also read LITOW after finishing Sword god and it will be just fine.

No. Not for the first 800 chapters at least. But it is recommended to read all of Litow before you finish reading this due to the ending only making sense if you've read Litow. Other than that you can treat them as pretty much separate stories.

Not even 800, only the last 10 or less chapters are co-related. So even though it's advised to read LITOW prior, it's fine even if people skip it. Also LITOW has several flaws like the power-system and terrible treatment for side-characters(understandable since it was authors 1st novel like he himself said).

I liked the power system in Litow. It kinda made sense with how scheming and calculating the Highest Heaven was. To have a power system based on comprehending minute details about the universe and understanding everything about everything did fit his personality. It needed a bit of tweaking and stuff, but compared to so many other novels, I'd put it's power system very high on the list. -And I honestly don't think the side characters were treated that terribly. Yeah they were kinda forgotten, but at least they had their own things going on and stuff(sometimes). (Tho I wish Arc got more screen time. Bro was like 2nd best character.)

This novel and Martial Unity is what I wanted from standard cultivation Novels power-system. The Chinese cultivation novels are too material based rather than training based. For every little gain in strength cultivators need to eat some "Ying yang heaven defying pill" and sit on their *ss for 500 years. Rather than going around the world for training and learning new things, cultivators just go to find or steal resources, anyone can reach supreme strength in those novel until they are given resources rather than doing actual training. Thats why I love this novel and Martial Unity, that are in theory cultivation novel but are completely training based and very smart training where everything needs to be planned out with baby-steps and trails and errors. Not to mention there are unlimited paths to power in these novels, unlike the very linear power-scaling of cultivation novels. I would love to see more training based novels like these 2.

I think you misunderstood Chinese novels. Literally nobody can get strong in chinese novels becuase they need resources. They are so rare and made for MC that only he can reach it. If it was just getting strong through training, it would mean anyone can do it no? In Chinese novels there are those that train like crazy but never reach a fraction of the top guys becuase they lack talent. Heck, even MC wives never reach the top and always lag so much compared to MC which I hate so much.

I absolutely agree with you regarding how the untalented can never get strong in those novels and that's also a very big flaw to me. For instance if someone doesn't have aptitude for fire Qi they will never be able to achieve it no matter how hard they work. Chinese cultivation novels trivializes hark-work and training, and I despise that. Sword god also fixed that. For eg if you don't have aptitude for Fire element in this novel you can still learn it, just at a slower rate than those that do have aptitude. And every character has aptitude in atleast one thing in this novel be it physical or elemental parameter, so everyone's got a shot at becoming the strongest, even though talent matter you can work around it with hard work.

I totally agree. Chinese novels are literally made for the MC. Everyone can't improve besides the MC. He's the only one who gets resources and shoots to the top. Others cant. They remain stuck where they are until a long time skip where they improve a little. But to be fair, most chinese novels have hard training MC's. Last I remember in Martial Word, Lin Dong trained like crazy. Even Xiao Yan trained like crazy and subjected himself to a lot of pain trying to get the flames. He risked his life to get them. So in a way, high risk high reward. Thats the best way to summarize chinese novels.
