    The author described the MC as being somewhat smart, but I think the MC's decisions are dumb as hell. Spoiler AlertThe MC trying to provoke the other siblings and accept crazy missions are unbelievable. He said he doesn't care about the clan at all, then why stay after he read all of the books about the technique and stuff? Even if he stays, why does he try to stand out? Wouldn't trying to hide his strength and avoid conflict help him smoothly grow into the strong person he desired? He is like any other dumb protagonist that has infinite plot armor.

      Its because there is no valid reason to give to other clan members about why he is leaving the clan. if he left without a proper reason then the clan will chase him down, and for why he doesn't try to be low key because as a swordsman he wants the best swordsman technique and where else can he find it other then the runcandels, the strongest swordsmanship clan in the world. and to get the technique of that clan he needs to grow strong and stand out, haaa. . . after that he needs to be careful of his siblings because he got too much of a talent, so to make sure he does not die again he needs to be patriarch, and so he needs to make sure that clan leader is interested in him and for that he needs to do dangerous tasks as well. I guess i have given you all the answers to your questions. Thought it is a bit confusing, all the answers are given above

      You should read Supreme Magus. There's everything: action, politics, romance and it doesn't ruin anything. Everything feels balanced. World and character development are great, as well as the writing style... No dumb MC nor plotholes that I've noticed and I usually do notice them since they irritate me :D
