It's one of the best romances I've ever read. Especially with no forceful rape scene, it became my utmost favorite ❤️ one can't stop when he starts reading it because of the element of curiosity, unpredictability and the way male lead deals with the girl. I must say, I haven't seen such a smart mouthed male lead for a long time 😄 Man! He's too good looking and intelligent. He knows how to turn the tables just by few words. It's a definite RE-READ. ❤️ HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I thank the author of this novel for giving me such a great reading experience..And I'm looking forward to reading more of your stories..It's got enough plot twists to keep me guessing. I am a fan of both slow burn and fast love so this one is easily one of my favorites. I soooooooo love Calhoun and Madeline, also Rafael, and Theo-Lucy side story.Very well thought story..I hope you keep coming up with great plots!

I don't have that much patient and usually i like to skip chapters and read the most interesting part only. But this novel wouldn't let me skip any chapters even though the improvement on their relationship between ml and fl is slow😭 it's really interesting and i like how the story makes me feel that i was the main character😤 in conclusion i really love this novel😖

very fun to read for past time, i just didn't like the idea of putting an entire past when the story's abt to end. like, im not really interested on the ml's past 🤷🏻‍♀️

It’s a very slow story. The beginning is very rough and takes a lot of time but that’s what makes the story so unique to the other novels. The author has taken her time to develop the characters and her readers. Once you reach the juicy part you instantly just get hooked!

I looooveeee Calhoun and Maddie relationship!! I want to know more about Lucy and Theo as well. Its pretty romantic and I love how powerful they are and how they always support each other. If you review before reading most of it, their past history and how they really are so menat for each other is amazing.

it was slow at first but the author made it interesting. now, it's too fast-paced and the storytelling became bland as the author made the dialogs too chessy and cringey.

I found the first chapters boring and slow, I went on but couldn't get past the 60th chapter. The male character is a sociopathic narcissist and the girl is just plain stupid. on the other hand the writing is so bad that any fanfic is better than this. .

why the fuck people romanticized kidnapping and abuse, whether it’s emotional or power or maybe even physical abuse IS completely wrong. and the FL is so dumb and weak lol can people stop making stories like this. it’s so bad and i don’t understand how others love the ML and defending him on everything (u guys need therapy lol)

And guess what? Unlike stupid female leads who fall for men after they invade their lives physically, Madeline didn't submit herself due to this reason. She started trusting him only after her true dark nature became prominent. She didn't heed to his advances thinking that he's handsome or that he likes her. She only trusted him when she was at her worst and everybody left her side. She wasn't as harmless as she seems in the beginning so later on, when Calhoun stayed by her side despite her own family's hatred and despite the fact that she could become the reason of his death, she had to admit that his words weren't a bluff and she should start considering his feelings more seriously. He was willing to wait for her, without having any physical relation and that's also the reason she trusted him. It's a slow burn romance. Please give reviews on someone's Work only when you've at least read half of the book. It's very unfair to the author you know.

Seems like you haven't read the novel by the comment of yours where you said he might've abused her physically. That's the only thing I liked about the male lead. He never forced her to have s*x with him, nor did he force her to sleep next to him. I've read novels where the male leads touch and do whatever they want, just because they think they like the girl. It's not the case here. Forget about s*x, he didn't even force her to come to his room. The things he did to invade her space like whispering closer to her or threatening to do something when he didn't have intention to do any of them, they were just to make her habitual of his presence. Despite the fact that he could easily force her, he always prioritized her feelings of not being physically involved. You can't judge a character in the first arc of the story where he is shown as a person who claims to have anyone by his side forcefully.

Take in mind the time please, and then think about what you said.
