Fate had never been kind to Ji Ning. Wracked by illnesses and infirm his entire life on Earth, Ji Ning knew early on that he would die as a teenager. What he didn’t know was that there really was such a thing as life after death and that the multiverse was a far larger place than he thought.

A lucky twist of fate meant that Ji Ning was reborn into a world of Immortals and monsters, of Ki Refiners and powerful Fiendgods, a world where Dynasties lasted for millions of years. A world which is both greater… and yet also smaller… than he ever could imagine. He would have the opportunity to join them, and in this life, Ji Ning swore to himself, he would never let himself be weak again! The Era he was born into was a Desolate one, but Ji Ning would make it his era.

When I started reading this I was kinda disappointed because it was different compared to IET's other novels, Mc becoming strong is so slow. But I still enjoyed it 8/10. Although what the sith Lord of chaos said "he could've have been..." didn't finish I'm assuming there's still rank above lord of chaos.

fun ride if u have 3 or 4 days to kill i guess. this is a completely ending spoiler so even if u cliked pasted the warning ill just say that.. he becomes a god of his own.. universe i guess? its much larger than IRL universe and its more like a limited multiverse, its kinda weird. but thats not the point, he ends up just reviving everyone who ever died along his journey to become the universe cultivator god. its the one this i disliked about the story is all the way through resurrection is possible in certain circumstances and MCs motivation the entire time have just been resurrecting people. kinda invalidates all the sacrifices made and kind of sucks IMO. ive never liked cultivation story's that end with MC becoming a literal omniscient God. thought id mention this in case someone really hates that sort of thing because its not really introduced incredibly early and ull waste a few hundred chapters of time if u weren't gonna continue

slow paced compared to the Author's other novels. I'm on chapter 15 and I'm already thinking about dropping it. It's like trying to read a wall that has scribbles on it, I get that it's for world building but bruh it's f*ck*ng long. Unlike the other MC that this author wrote, he's actually putting in effort and I'm kinda new to that. try reading up to ch20 to see if u really like it.

How are there people into xianxia that haven't read this? It's a classic, a staple. It was once amongst the best of the genre. While its success has waned, its reputation remains. I read this years ago...still decent enough for a reread...though I'm great with it'd be a bore.
