Lots of satisfying face-slapping, but the antagonists really need a single brain cell. After having your plot reversed against you for the fifth time, you'd think they'd start to have priorities other than trying to ruin FL's life. ML is enjoyable. Gets pretty repetitive.

One of the best under-rated novels. If you like smart & strong ML and FL, this might be for you. The plot is more about revenge and slow-burned romance. But overall, this is a good novel and worth to read.

As the story progresses, what I noticed first is its similarity with another Chinese novel of the same author with the title Reborn: Femme Fatale First Daughter. Really, there's a lot of similarities but it's not actually to the point that you'll feel like it's just the same story with different names. It still has its own uniqueness. It just that, Mo Xuetong(Femme Fatale FL) is at least 70% similar to Ning Xueyan's personality and Feng Yuran(R:FFFD's ML) is at least 40% similar to Ao Chenyi. The plot wherein Xueyan supposedly having secret guards given by her late imperial parents is also similar to Mo Xuetong having secret guards given by her royal parents. Then there's Wen Xueran which has the similar case with Bai something(can't remember the first name but he is Xuetong's cousin if I remember it correctly). Anyway, there's a lot of similarities between the two of them that if they didn't came from the same author, one would think that its plot was plagiarized or something. Meanwhile, there's of course the differences like Ao Chenyi being the Emperor's younger brother and such. Anyway, just like what I mentioned, both are similar when it comes to several things but it's still a good story nevertheless. BUT!!! What I find irritating and redundant most of the times is that it's 80% schemes and 20% romances. It's not an exaggeration to say that there are schemes that were meant to ruin the FL or ML's reputation and harm their safety every chapter, to the point that there's still even a scheme to the second to the last chapter. It made the story kinda annoying at some point but anyway, unlike the R:FFFD, it's ending is not abrupt or rushed. Those schemes got their just deserts. Lastly, my regret is that Ming Yuanhua wasn't mentioned at the end. After all, it's foreshadowed that he has some feelings for Yan'er. And also, Ning Lingyun who was supposed to be Ao Mingyu's consort wasn't mentioned as well. Oh well, I couldn't care less about her after all, she tried to scheme against Xueyan before but I'm just curious.

I am still at 200+ chapter, and i really really enjoy reading this novel. I am really into a strong FL. If someone will scheme against her, she will return it more than hundred times. Must read if you enjoy strong FL and ML character. Im waiting for the love to blossom between thr leads. 😍😍

I just completed the entire novel. It was fulfilling. I really love how strong the FL was. She is very witty and deceive others thinking that she is weak and powerless. Its worth reading. You will be on edge and cant wait to finish the entire story.

Normally, I don't write reviews, but this one is such a good novel and seems almost none knows about it! The FL and ML are amazing! The romance take some time to start, but, the plot is interesting, and FL is strong and can do thing on her own, and the ML respects her and take good care of her! I rightly recommend this one!
