The nuclear holocaust which caused the collapse of the Old Times on Earth should have wiped out all human life on the planet. Yes, the gods set up their beautiful Elysiums to provide sanctuaries for their chosen, but by all rights everyone outside the elysian lands should’ve perished long ago. Yet somehow, human life still managed to persist, even in the deadly, mutant-infested wastelands.
Cloudhawk was a young scavenger who dreamed of being as free as the hawks in the skies, yet seemed destined to live out his life scrounging for scraps in the wasteland ruins. Fate, however, is ever-fickle. A chance meeting with a ragtag group of mercenaries changed the trajectory of his life, bringing him into a world with mutants and metahumans, demonhunters and godslayers, and even gods and demons. Cloudhawk would find his own place in a world that was far greater than he had imagined, find his own path between the zealous light of Sumeru and the whispering darkness of the Abyss… and one day, he would find that even gods may fall.

I finished the novel, it's was pretty great unlike typical chinese novel, uncommon troupe, well researched system of power, great storyline (full of conflict and fight at every turn it might not be for everyone) overall 8/10 you should give it a try if you don't have anything to read.
“ “Don’t you think this life is a bitter one? I don’t go in for all your b*llsh*t idealism.” That is literally all you do Cloudhawk. What the f*ck are you talking about???
Why does he not wear the demon kings armor? Some of the dumbest sh*t I’ve read so far. He can’t think demons are bad or any different from gods, he grew up in the wastelands, he didn’t grow up knowing jack sh*t about demons or gods. He already used a demonic relic, the gospel of sand. He already uses another demonic relic, his phase stone. As far as he’s concerned the armor is just another relic. So why in the f*ck does he not wear it??? Because demon=bad. Because it’s necessary for the plot. This author can’t write his way out of a paper bag. So f*ck*ng unsatisfying.
The writing is lazy. Sometimes I want to slap the author, but for whatever reason, I can’t stop reading it. This novel would be a lot better if the author sat down and actually thought out legitimate solutions to problems the MC finds himself in or legitimate reasons for some of his decisions. Instead it’s always “Suddenly a meteor comes out of the sky and defeats the bad guy right as MC is captured” or the MC has a hero complex that’s completely out of character. It gets a little better after book 2, but the author is still the same lazy writer. And there are like 50 instances where he spares the life of someone who is trying to kill him only for it to immediately backfire. Only god knows how you could type this b*llsh*t and call it writing. With that said, I still can’t put it down, so take that as you will.
10/10!!!
Does the mc ever get smarter
I wanted to know if in this work, the mc has some kind of power or magic, because I'm looking for more fanciful stories. Can someone help me?
One of the best novels ive ever read by far
I pity the mc... Always weak and lacking and wins through "luck"
is there romance?
