    (continuing review) ...leave your MC in the training facility to raise the skill bar to completion. 3. The chapters are also very short and long winded without a lot of meat in them. Therefore the already boring plot takes ages to unfold. Over 600 chapters, he is still in the second major realm out of 5 known and a long way from the 3rd. I give this story a 4/10

      Stakes raise after the Shionel dungeon arc. Also, martial squires (the ones who can air step) aren’t human anymore, they are much stronger and essentially do the same thing as a bird flapping it’s wings by stepping on air. But idk if the book explained that they aren’t human yet by chapter 600. And I think your point on lack of realism is also due to forgetting Esoteric materials exist.

        it was explained that they have superhuman bodies as well in terms of strength and resistance but the pysics doesnt check out. it ridiculois because even if they had infinite strength stepping on air would not propulsate them in their wanted direction. newtons laws of mechanics are stated to still work do if they wanted to fly they should at least do similar movements to swmming to take advantage of the air resistance. if this is not clear to you then you lack basic knwoledge about mechanics.

    I tried really hard to get to like this novel, reading over 600 chapters. But I can't get myself to because: 1. The power system is annoying and uncanny and illogical to me. It reminds me of Baki where the supernatural is tried to be explained using real world physics, resulting in a kind of pseudo science. No, according to the logic presented those abilities shouldn't be possible without an element of the supranatural like Qi/Mana etc. No, you can't step on the air and fly like that using nothing but a normal body and you certainly can't break the sound barrier because your body is 100% efficient using all its potential. Or do telekinesis by blowing air very very powerfully and controlling it with your arms. The sheer stupidity while pretending to me smart and scientific-like is infuriating me continuously. 2. The plot is very weak and there is never much at stake or much suspense. It feels like a novelised gatcha game, where you do missions to earn coins and XP, then leave...

    So I read about 300 chapters, and I wanna know is rui going to be much stronger then his friends(huge gap) or are they in relatively close kind of power? (small gap)

      In the latest chapters only one of his friends, Kane, is basically as strong as Rui, we havent seen Rui's friends for a long time so im not 100% certain but its pretty likely that the majority of his friends with the exception of Fae will not ever be able to catch up to his and Kanes power.

        I don’t see Kane as being as powerful as Rui at all. In fact, Rui would easily demolish Kane in a battle, with Kane only truly being just as strong in Lightning Valley, where he can use his techniques to the maximum. Espically with Rui constantly making new techniques becoming stronger and getting closer to the Martial Senior realm. If you give it about chapter 1153, except in Lightning Valley, Rui is probably far stronger.

        Oh no you misunderstood me, I said it's a pity because Kane is as strong as rui. You see rui as the protagonist have his own advantage (which will be the algorithm and his past life) so in sense rui should be stronger than others or have a gap that grows over time but now it feels like his advantage is not as Important and is got weaker so I really was annoyed about that, if you are going to give the Mc an advantage (the algorithm) don't weaken it to let other stay with him that was my train of thoughts. So yeah you really got the opposite poi5of what I meant

        Kane is a prodigy too.. in fact until recently he was overshadowed and outclassed by Rui pretty easily.

        The point here Mc have a cheat and who knows how many years researching martial arts so doesn't it seem a bit unfair that Kane be as strong as rui even if he was prodigy? Then what would happen if Kane had rui cheat and knowledge? Would he be undefeatable?

        Yes and no, if Kane had the memories of Rui then he would make the best out of it but since his body is built to favor speed and evasion he would not make the best use of his memories. The past life's research needs an all-rounder body so Kane having a speedster build doesn't help at all, even if he went for an all-rounder build he would be bad at both the all-rounding and speed. While Rui was just an average guy, he trained himself to become an all-rounder and it was not like he was giving something up to become an all-rounder that Kane would have to. But now if you ask if some all-rounder prodigy like Fiona got those memories (and enthusiasm) of Rui then she would be a beast.

      The novel is slow paced and tries to show of more of how difficult it is to grow as a martial artist. Seeing as the author tries to tie tho whole thing together with maths and logic I doubt you’ll see Rui advancing theough the ranks as a comet. However even though he uses plenty of time in each rank he is still extremely fast compared to the normies.

    Apart from all the positive things that are the strengths of this novel, the fact that MC really loved MMA in his past life made this novel immediately my favorite novel.

        Yea it's similar to Sword God in a World of Magic but the MC in this novel is more mature in personality and the power development system focuses more on the application of scientific theory in creating techniques.

      if you mean romance that includes rui, the mc, than i have to disappoint you: nothing here at the moment (i prefer it tbh. it keeps the focus on the martial art itself more this way). we have a maybe romance with 2 childhood-/academy-firends of his. they have a kind of cat & dog relationship. rui at the least thinks that they have feelings for each other. if you want to know a girl that maybe in the future could hook up with rui than i think about the "jack of all trades, master of all"-girl that, because of her unorthodox relationship with martial arts has a very interresting contrast to rui & have a friendly realationship to each other. i can also give you an all spoiler version if you want

        Our MC, Rui Quarrier (family name is shared with all the orphans as a family), does not have any romantically interrest at the moment (which is a good thing in my opinion). the female that he has the best chemistry is fiona roschem a talent without equal in martial arts. they meet during the turnament & she contrary to ruis expectation is a incredible curious & friendly person. the interresting thing about her is despite her talent she has no passion for martial arts, which pretty much bars her from progessing on her martial path. she got a lot to think about as while she defeated rui he managed to injure her heavily, which no one was ever able to. if we see her again she will probably fond a motivation. i assume it will be simiular to 1 Kane, ruis best friend, has which is to keep up with rui. i think rui would probably unknowingly serve as a tourch to show her the way forward. Kane & Fae are the childhoodfriends with the maybe romance with a cat-dog relationship with each other
