I have a question: Does mc become friend or end up with the girl who defeat him in competition? - Its a whole cliche of these genre that makes me think that how its gonna end up and i dont think i'd wanna continue reading if it happned. - Some might call my view toxic but i cant stand this troupe because that girl who is already a martial artist and had the best training and medicines took pleasure in defeating no name commoner who clearly havnt even started his martial path just because she found it intesting. Just becuase she didnt take his token doesnt mean sh*t when she left him unconcious and defenseless effectively destroying his path to marial art. Now, mc might pass bcoz of deus ex machina but he still shouldnt forgive and forget what she did to him. - Edit: nvm, after reading some more reviews, i have decided to drop it.

Different take on the martial arts genre. The martial arts in this novel is a lot more grounded and similar to Earth (muay thai, karate, kickboxing, etc) without the usage of Qi that we've become accustomed to seeing in cultivation novels. Author attempts to keep it more realistic and scientifically feasible, though there is some supernatural here and there to make stuff work. There are some physics here and there for some techniques but there is a greater attention to detail towards human anatomy.

I think you're underplaying the physics aspect since most techniques rely on some application of physics to be executed (e.g piercing techniques, heat techniques, defense techniques, ranged air techniques). Plus its clear that the author majors more in physics than he did in biology.

I would like to put forward an opinion I truly love the style of writing and the physics incorporated into the novel but there's one thing nagging me throughout the entire ordeal it's that if everything in this world GAEA didn't completely defy physics how in the actual F can humans do supernatural sh*t without having supernatural physique and an inherent biological difference to people on Earth because i just can't wrap my mind around how you can use physics ,mere physics to Blast apart a tree trunk , and FOCUS like come on . Why wouldn't Earth's physicists and fight analysts come up with that then . (DONT TELL ME LIMITED BY THEIR MIND). I do feel the author feels like if he introduces any Fantasy concept his idea for a realistic close combat martial art breaks apart . Love the writing but please I need to find LOGIC . As of right now CHP 130 someone tell me The squire realm has something different. FUNDAMENTALLY.

Had a nice start, got a bit repetitive, translation isn't the best, but hey, its not horrible! If you've got nothing else to read, check it out

An extremely unique take on a martial novel. Currently in the lightnovel scene martial art novels have become the most clichè,overused and boring plots in my opinion the entire site, ‘here take my heavenly tiger fist’ or ‘I have trained for 10,000 years and I will destroy you’ and then some once in a million years talent appears and kills him. It’s all clichè stuff like that and 99% this is used in cultivation novels. However, this novel has such a realistic approach to martial arts, it implements real physics and use of muscles, tendons, bones etc etc with real techniques with no bs like ‘qi’,’chi’,’chakra’ and ‘spiritual power’ or whatever wonky names they come up with nowadays. In conclusion a very good novel with a unique premise that I would recommended, however, be warned if you don’t understand the physics you’re heads gonna hurt ALOT. Well that’s all for now. Bye!

As an engineering major trying to escape physics... I cant believe it has made it way to LN's. Buttttt I do agree that the martial arts in novels are almost all the same and cant be properly translated into words as they may be too short or too long. With that in mind I might as well try it.

If you’re thinking about reading Martial Unity, then you should. Just like there’s so many novels in our current age, unlike the middle age where there’s less than hundreds, with novels genre ranging from romance, drama, fantasy, etc it all depends on the person’s taste. Speaking of taste, you have the four different taste buds of salt, sweet, sour, bitter and most recently discovered two new tastes of spicy and umami. While each person can taste, they might not be able to feel the same thing, as there are different feelings when it comes to different situations. Some situations can make one person cry while another would laugh instead. So it all really depends on the person and their taste in novels. If you just got through reading this review and think it was ok, then you DEFINITELY should read Martial Unity cause you got the stones to handle such amazing martial arts building.
